  • Comment removed

  • perfect!

  • so early in his career he possessed such a mastery of his voice and what a voice!

  • its an undisputed fact nat was the best singer of this song ever

  • Tom Jones > Nat King Cole, comon Nat is a legend but Tom is more powerful, more soulful, and more versatile, it cannot be debated.

  • I remember this from the 1960's.....beautifully done.

  • harika bir parca.paylastigin icin tesekkurler.

  • it is a simply wonderful song... always thing Tom Jones is best on ballads but he will tackle anything. This is beautiful. My favourite version was the 1969 recording by the late Dorothy Squires

  • What word is above and beyond perfect? Because that's how TJ sings this song. Just beautiful.

  • My Da-a-a-a-a-a-rling.. ♫ ♥

  • @elvisuk Well, this is a song of 'mood' ... and I think Nat Cole was absolute Master of mood-setting

  • Tom Jones just trying too much, great voice though. Nat King Cole owned that song !!

  • i sang this song during an affair in school when i was in first year hs. this is a very nice song and likewise this tom jones interpretation.

  • But i miss you most of all my darling

  • Rumor had it back in 1968 that he would burn out his voice if he stayed on this path....I think not!

  • such a beautiful song,, love it.. no one could sing it like Tom...

  • all the singers from this time period are much better than the ones today because, they studied under the masters. all the way up to the early 90's,after that, every body started to rely on image, not talent

  • Gorgeous! Tom has such a beautiful voice, and this is a beautiful song. So, the combination is breathtaking. Thanks for posting it.

  • this man is a pimp

  • This is an incredible display of Tom's vocal

versatility. No singer today can touch this

    performance.

  • I like the flute bits. And the singing ... wow.

Well done Tom, to say the least.

  • Tom Jones did an excellent interpretation of this song "Autumn Leaves" here.

Clearly I agree with many fellow opinion posters here, that Tom Jones is in the tops in the field of male vocalists.

He ix extremely gifted with great tone, treat range, great creative skill, great personality.

I discovered (by accident) Holland Mariah Grossman singing a very interesting interpretation of Autmn Leaves here on YouTube.

Her voice is beautiful and her phrasing is quite interesting.

  • lol Are you people aware of the fact that whenever Tom and Elvis were performing in Vegas at the same time, their show times were different. They woyuld see each other's shows and get toghether afterwards.

  • Absolutely beautiful!!!

  • Ohhh... VOZ INCOMPARABLE.

    !!Gracias¡¡¡ por publicar

  • TJ is putting on a vocal "clinic" here. How to sing a song, personalize it, massage the lyrics, take a note up...take a note down low...tone, range, an absolute masterpiece of singing. By any standard this is supreme talent. Never to be seen or heard again....like this 1965 version of Autumn Leaves by the great Tom Jones!

  • @elvidinck Toyal agreement with you hear. He is superb.

  • @elvidinck Agreed :)

  • Great singer, excellent voice, beautiful song.

  • great voice...............

  • Tom makes every singer who came before or after him seem like a wimp with his balls in a vice.

  • Absolutely the truth!

  • I've never had the honor of hearing this!!! WOW! love it

  • The best voice I have ever heard.

  • Hear here ,He the best ever. You must hear his other songs. Ghost Riders etc

  • @olddumphouse Nat King Cole's version is better- just saying. Not dissing Tom Jones or anything

  • Over the last 6 years my life has been rather tough to say the least. My wife of 15 years left me, saying she no longer wanted to be married. No one else involved. No domestic stuff. She'd changed. I was devestated. I had an operation 2 amputate my left leg below the knee b4 that. The words of this song are very poignant and I am in floods everytime I hear it. The Eva Cassidy version is particularly moving. Time is a greaty healer? I'm 3 years on, and I still don't really feel any better. X

  • I guess the words 'snap out of it' hold no comfort.......

  • Ever thought about counselling?

  • lol no. It's not my forte

  • You are a cold dead empty carcass.

  • oooh you say the nicest things!

  • my friend...try to look on the bright side of things..even though it's tough..try...and u might feel a bit better...

  • @rcallan I hope in time you feel better. My husband of 21 years has just told me he doesn't feel the same about me. So, I understand how you feel.

  • every time i hear this song...i really miss my beloved parents who both passed away...i cried alot if i could bring back the time...just like superman..hahaha

  • Is that an old Gillette shaver he's singing in to?

  • lol I briefly wondered that myself *wink*

  • brings bk so many memories thx MY tom.........xxxxxxxxxxx

  • What a singer. Him, Engelbert and John Rowles. They can all do great rockn'roll, but are brilliant at the ballads, too.

  • Excelente!!! Saca 5.....

  • Excelente!!! Saca 5.....

  • Bu şarkı sözü müziğiyle tüm sanatçılara yakışıyor...Teşekkürler;-))

  • The song is just great....And have you noticed the electric-shaver-like mic?Funny thing...:D

  • same design.. lol :-D

  • This has to be an early Tom ... sings this song very well. Thank you.

    viva tom jones !

  • You had to be an American!

  • rynigma8, You had to be an American!

  • "The sunburned hands I used to hold . . ." One of popular music's most haunting lyrics. Jones displays great sensitivity to the song, but one is left with the feeling that today he would do greater justice to its sense of loss and longing. Nat Cole graced it with understated eloquence. Today, Jones would doubtless do the same.

  • Oh Tom... even with hokey camera angles & trying to look pensive while fiddling around with his mic cord during the instrumental interlude... He still captures the imagination! *deep sigh*

  • This remind me of my father. He love this song and I love it too. Thank you, thank you. I love this video of him.

  • I'm sure thats Jeremy Paxman

  • Look, I won't lie. I prefer Nat King Cole's version of this song. But do I love Tom Jones. You bet your sweet cookies. Tom took this song and he made it his own. Always a joy to listen to the Master Tom at work. Always. Thank you for the video!!!

  • tuoko muka äijä?

  • I had forgotten how really good a singer he was, not just a "performer."

  • I've never seen this one before! Can you post some info about the TV show (date, country, etc.). Thanks.

Tom Jones - the best !!!

  • I think that's from French TV, about 1965 year
