When I first bought A Love Supreme I seriously thought I'd heard it all, but then track four rolls around and promptly smashes any concepts of "beautiful saxophone solo" that I once held. This solo is an absolute fucking masterpiece. This whole song is a fucking masterpiece. There will never be another group that can come close to touching the John Coltrane Quartet in history, period.
