  • ...wow......

  • Give´s me chills ! good work ;)

  • fledis, .. too kind, thanks.

    Ric-

  • Another question, if you could only keep one rickenbacker bass, which one would you choose?

  • mollytheodd, i've no doubt.

The bass that i call "the best i ever had".

My 4001 white 1984.... one of the last 4001.

    Ric-

  • What is the rickenbacker behind you? it looks so nice

  • mollytheodd .... 4001CS (Chris Squire).

    Bye, RIc-

  • You lucky bitch I would kill for a Rickenbacker and u there have two of them...I guess its all about your the money

  • @TheSellarDoor dude he has loads more...maybe that's why he has hardly any furniture in his house. HAHAHA

  • is it an humbucker on the neck position? how do you think comparing to the hi gain??

  • Love your tone and play style. Amazing bass aswell!

  • I hate it when people take off the bridge pickup guard. That's part of its charm! It just makes it that much more eccentric.

  • Great sound... I have been looking to pair one of those NV610s with an SVT for use with both active and passive p basses... I see you have quite the array of equipment, do you have anything similar you can demo?

  • bigghettobooty, i and thanks...

In all my video i use the same Rig.. as you know Orange ad200 mk2 &Bergie NV610... I have no others amp to test..

    Ric.

  • whats the difference between a 4001 and a 4003???

  • @CandRprod truss rods. the 4001's neck needs to be bent into place and then have the rods tightened to match, where as the 4003 has modern truss rods that move the wood on their own. Also 4003s dont have the capacitor on the bridge pickup that takes out some of the lows. Except 2006 on have a push/pull that can engage said capacitor

  • i'd call you gay for having your collars up like that but i can't cause your playing is way too awesome D:

  • meokanako, thanks boy... but don't tell this to my wife.... Ric.

  • i like rickenbacker basses and oyu play them really good *^*

  • @xXmorante2Xx , thank you very much...grazie.

    Ric.

  • Rickenbackers have a nice sound to it. I should try one when I get really good.

  • haha...maybe if u didn't invest so much of your money into ricks, u'd have furniture! lol jk nice playing. Did u take off the bridge pickup cover? And if so, why? Is it difficult to play for u with it on?

  • hiphopsucks96, Hi... i've got five Ricks. In 2 of them i use the pick cover (4001CS and 4001 C64).. in the others i've removed it.

No, is not difficult to play with the cover...is only a matter of "training"..thanks..

    Ric.

  • Gotta love your sound !

Great techniche man, i really dig it.

I love specially that you play slap on a rick, something not so normal haha.

    Cheers from argentina =)

PS: any opinion on the elixir strings?

  • Richards67 .......thank you very much for your comment. Is not difficult to play Rick on slap... so i invite you to see my last video "about it"... Elixir.. i have these strings on 4001 that you see in video and in another two Rick (4001 CS & 4001 WHITE)... great strings for the old Ricks... thank you once again.... Ric.

  • I've got Ric 4003 Jetglo and I'm wondering that what kind of difference it has compared to 4001. Is there some sound difference, handling difference or something? I've read that the 4001 got some special kind of pick-ups compared to 4003, but that's all I know. Have you anything here to say? Which one is better model?

And yes, you've got very original way to play the Ric bass. Damn good sound you've got in that Ric.

  • Dear Anonyomus .... "hard" question!!... i try to answer.

I love 70's and 80' 4001 Rickenbacker basses. I really adore the "neck" in this period of production...

And their "brilliant" sound... they really "cry" in the night when you play them well.

But in general you don't have to serch the difference between 4001 & 4003.

And is not a matter of pick up.... in this case is a matter of your taste...

Rick has a great Rock'nRoll SOUL.

    Discover this in you 4003.

    Thanks again.

    Ric.

  • were did u get that bass ?!

  • ...3 yers ago... directly from USA!

    Ric.

  • @Dengia64 wats there website

  • whats the rick model with the pbass style pickups in the neck position

  • .. hi..

....i think that you consider a custom instrument.

I don't know a Rick model with a "splitted" pick up.!

    Ric.

  • @weathered79 If you mean single coil, it's a 3001.

  • @weathered79 It's not a Ric, the bass is called Jolana D-Bass.

  • @ujnawierzbie yup thats it thanks

  • @weathered79 No problem.

  • Bus Stop by the Hollies?

  • The Rickenbacker speaks in beautiful modal languages!
