That intro! Her voice! Thank you for posting this 1968-69 (Stateside) underground dance classic! Great singer and very much appreciated here - great hearing this song on YouTube! DAVEDJ
@MIKECNW This was recorded about 1968. I just saw that a cd compilation "I'm Kiki Dee: The Fontana Years 1963-1968" (RPM Records) is coming out soon. I like all the UK 60s girl pop singers and know the cd is gonna be a treat!

Pauline ( Kiki ) once actually babysat me as a lil nipper in the very early 60s and was a friend of my mums...We lived in Marshfields ..Bradford at the time. Pauline wasn't famous then but it was rumoured that it wouldn't take long..and it didn't.

There's a singer named Gabbriella Climi who's done this song which is kind of interesting since this wasn't as popular and Kiki's 70's stuff.
Unless "ON a Magic Carpet Ride" charted in the UK.

surreytownsoulie-You may need to be more specific and explain to some people that there was a soul allniter in Yate once!
I am writing this from near there, no comment.
I did go to it just before it ended when I was 17, thou!
