I play in percussion at my school and my grade is being taught four mallet technique for Xylophone and Marimba. Now, when you first started did you have trouble getting up to a fast speed? Because when I play 4 mallets I always have to play at less than a certain speed otherwise the insides of my fingers start to sting for quite a while. Just wanted to know, I checked my technique and my instructor says it is right, so just wondering. I am learning the Stevenson grip.
Thx for this interpr.: All the track is played in a sweety constant rythm with no errors, hesitations nor excesses.
In my opinion, a progressive/aggressive interpr. with some borderline instants can also sound very good, but again, this one is very nice.
Maybe -forgive me for the image- the difference between being sit in our garden having a drink after a sunny summer day, and being somewhere lost in a snow storm, walking against the wind.
that's not the whole song..
