The accordion used reminded me of France and by extension 'La Jetee' which the movie was supposedly inspired by? Is this intentional or is it just me looking too deep into it?
Either way I love this song and would consider listening to it if humanity was ever a few seconds from midnight on the doomsday clock.

An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).

The scientists from the future always send prisoners for scouting and stuff, but they said that all that guys every died on their missions. So im sure that this creepy voice must be a time traveler, too which supports James Cole on his way.
That's the only explanation im able to give you, but i think im right :D
@Pagemaster18 But here are some wrong point with it... He talks to him both in his time, and in the past, and a hobo cant get around so many places like inside a top security mental hospital... And if he travels in time how come he doent remember he pulled out his teeth when he talked to Cole in the future... My theory wa that the hobo guy was the past him, but if it was the past him, how come he took his teeth out, and the future him said its a "no-no"...

I'm now absolutly sure that this voice is a extention of Coles psychosis and doens't exists as a person. This voice only appears when Cole is in panic or distress. Throug the tim travels Cole gets more and more confused with himself. I found accords with this in blogs!

This is a very cryptic and creepy movie but we see in our discussion, that the producer must be very genious,too!

And there was the shadow of a man, and sometimes some sounds that came from behind the walls/curtins... And tht doesnt explain why the hobo has the same voice, and clls him Bob, and told him about the teeth...
it isn't libertango.....if you read the final titles of the movie you'll find the correct title of the song..it's the introduccion of a music composed by astor piazzolla, but at the moment i don't remember the correct title...
@smirnesca --you just helped clear up a huge confusion for me. This opening music has been driving me nuts for years. I wasn't sure if it was Piazzolla, or it had been adapted. Now I can rest easy.
