The K40 system does not work. I can guarantee you that from professional testing. Check out the Laser Interceptor for a 100% effective countermeasure against all Police Laser Guns. As for radar, the Valentine V1 is the best on the market followed by the Escort 9500ix and Redline.

i had the k40 . i got rid of it because it sucks :( i now roll with a V1 and Laser Interceptors!! they are soooo much better! as soon as i figure out the best place to put the rears im going to buy them.. (i have a 2006 mustang gt and there really isnt any place to mount them)

@AskHack I never sold any radar detector or laser jammer products nor will I ever. I was an installer for a car accessorsey shop that sold Blinders. But I have installed Escort ZR3/ZR4, Laser Pro Park, Anti-Laser, Laser Interceptor, and Lidateks.

This jammer was installed and repaired by the Audi dealer which originally installed the Calibre system. All I did was level the rear head for testing purposes.

emt328, I strongly suggest against installing the K40!!!! There are much better systems out there like the Blinder M47 and Laser Interceptor. I would never ever trust a K40 system and I have tested quite a few.

@robm425 i wish you would of said that 8 hours ago. i just got the k40 calbrie installed... so far its keeping up with my V1 as far as dection, i havent had a chance to test out the laser yet. i read alot of reviews and they said tis really good.. Why dontyou like the k40 :( i just sspent 2grand. please make me feel better and tell me the good points and not that i wasted my money

Please please please please keep the the V1 for radar detection. do NOT install any more k40 products on your car.

I dislike them cause their performance is Horrible! their top of the like radar detector unit performs as well as a $150 Cobra radar detector. The best performing jammers are built by Blinder and Laser Interceptor. Escort and Valentine make the best RDs. Should have got the Escort 9500ci in my opinion

@emt328 Read the message I just sent you. There is a possible laser jammer meet-up test going on in Long Island if you are interested in at least see how your unit performs.

I personally have the Laser Interceptor on my car and I like it. I am also a fan of the Blinder M47. I use to have a Blinder product on my car and they are another company I know can build decent working jammers

I don't recall what the blue laser gun was - he was using the pretty big one. but in his own words said

He was refering to the rear ZR3 head not the full ZR3 system!!!!

Also this installed had alot of passive counter measures installed to help boost the performance where the rear ZR3 just had the jammer head, no veil or lasershield

Not as much Garbage as anyone thought It was indded better on the rear than the Zr3 on the small C6 vette.

K40 did allright here when shooting center-mass but that could be due to all the passive countermeasures.

Its not his fault the dealer who installed the K40 didn't mount it level. He just did his best to mount it level for proper testing

You still did not prove the K40 was installed by a Dealer provided by K40 -...... so this is still no true facts too be told......

Without proper Installation its crap... however it still preformed on some...

Get a proper installation with video proff.

But as far as RDD goes and detection range - It is all about Bel Sti-r and or Esscort 9500ci

It was installed by the dealer!!!! And trying to require me to go find the dealer and take this guy with me to the dealer would take time out of his day and mine. The guy bought the car from a Audi dealer and had the front head replaced by the dealer. One thing that is very interesting is the Dealer actually installed one of the heads completely wrong and myself and the owner had to fix it. I am a certified installer so I know when an install is crap and his was perfect after i leveled the rear!

Thats what I heard as well and thought for the longest time. But after testing this set-up I was impressed... I do think though a large part of the results was due to all his passive counter measures

Because, he does not want too loose business because of k40. anyways. K40 only has 1 flaw. like most detectors. all but 1 pass. it is detected by the new RDD. but besides that. too detect radar and laser. K40 is where its at. and too jam. wow they work wonders my friend. But I don't recommend one if you live in a state where they are illegal.

Stop lying about the K40. The Newest K40 has been proven to be detected by ALL police RDD's. I repeat. The Current K40 radar detector both past are detected by ALL police RDD's. I have provided you with evidence of that fact which is on K40's website, but you continue to lie!!!!! Stop it. Cops are trained to aim at headlights if having trouble with centermass. And both the new and old K40 did nothing for headlight shots

To bad officers are trained to shot at more than the Licence plate. And the K40 protects when you only aim at the jammer head....Um with any other jammer I have tested I don't have the aim at the head to be jammed. Enjoy your headlight punchthroughs!
