the whole thing is synced up to sequences and grooze boxes its very sophisticated work takes alot of time and effort to put together something like that it all works on vibration and key triggering
Well technically a piano has strings but its not a string instrument. But yeah being that it has strings it is a stringed instrument, it just seems to be more of a percussive sound kinda like how slap bassists can be percussive.
he made that pipe himself. It's basically a programmed pipe with two bass strings. It's incredible. He also has a magical boot, and can play somewhere over the rainbow on a saw. I've heard of the saw before, but never a magical boot instrument. I love that 1 guy.
Granted, he is a one man band. But Les Claypool was doing this kind of stuff long before That 1 Guy. Check out some of the stuff from Fearless Flying Frog Brigade.
I have never seen a more original act capture the crowd. When he was in SLC no one knew what to make of him, and then he won the crowd over. Fantastic Talent...
@707skater Was that the concert in Atlanta? If so, I was at that concert, and I actually met That 1 Guy in person :). He is really nice. I got to shake his hand ^_^
I saw him and Buckethead last night in Austin. It was fucking amazing. That One Guy, is incredibly talented. At one point he played with the sole of a cowboy boot. He's also incredibly funny. Loved the show.
I saw him yesterday... buckethead should have opened for him... buckethead in person isn't quite the experiance I thought it would be. Buckethead was good, but he used the same patterns too much, and it all started to sound the same. But That 1 Guy was much more entertaining, and should have been the headliner.
Lol, I did too, I wonder if i saw you. That 1 Guy was entertaining (like when he pulled the cards out of his mouth) but c'mon, better than Buckethead?
Buckethead boring? You must be joking. One of the finest guitar players in the world with hundreds of songs, many of which are epic. How familiar are you with his music?
youtube does this guy no justice..you have to see him live..he plays that pipe seriously man, hes really diggin the music himself. Saw him with buckethead at toads place in new haven and it couldnt have been better, i dont think they play togethor well though, bucket just overrides him while hes holding down a simple beat, but by himself this guy is great.
Just saw him and buckethead last night best show ever. At the show i kept thinking to myself how the hell am i supposed to describe this guy? Then he started playing on a boot and i fucking lost what a talented Guy.
Just saw him and Buckethead in Denver at the Fox, wow. LIVE is the only way to see this stuff. But, what would Claypool do? That Magic Pipe is bassie enought already.
I just got back from seeing him live at Cali Worldfest AWSOMENESS! I got to talk ot him too =P He made that himself inspired by a...Bass I believe....

lmao yeah but what functions does this instrument have. Did this guy make this instrument up or is it like a lost in time instrument.
Like is it just percussive or does it do other things? sounds sweet either way

Yeah but like, whats its deal lol. What exactly does it do

that instrument looks like a whamola with a vaccum attatched to the top lol...What exactly is it?

yes, better than Buckethead. I can only take so many elementary pentatonic licks in one show.
