@virginiatechfanx You can wear any tallit, no matter the size -- although, if it's too hard for you to put on (or if you keep tripping!), then definitely replace your tallit with another!
@myjewishlearning I mean it's not wide but it is narrow and when I do it the way you are doing in the video mine is just too short and I might just get another on my school trip to israel next month and use that one instead of the one I got for my Bar-Mitzvah
@mikerosenfeld5995 Rabbi Exler replies: Good question! It is a substantive debate. The Mishnah Berurah says to go up to your mouth (Orah Hayyim 8, MB #4), but the Arukh Hashulhan cites the medieval debate about it and seems to record the custom to cover your whole face (Orah Hayyim 8:8).
@LIQUIDFLUIDR12X Many people have different feelings about this. Most branches of Judaism believe that it's acceptable for a woman to wear tallit. Any thoughts, Internet?
after you wear the tallit do you have to pull it up to cover your head when you pray or read the torah?

@hetgow Get ready for a very Jewish answer: Some people do, and some don't! There are different customs, depending on your heritage and beliefs.

Should you buy a big tallit because the one i have won't let me do it because of the wideness of it.
