  • This cost you about 100 "Get Laid Points"

  • @jordanstaub0522

Oh darn. What AM I to do with myself now?

  • @EVAUnit4A Lol I'm just kidding bro, i already subbed.

  • i always thought the original megazord looked alot like a gundam

  • @rwp16db

  • I'm half tempted to get the Retrofire MMPR Megazord and do some mods to it. Are the biceps made of soft or hard plastic since the mod i'm thinking of will only work with soft plastic.

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

    The arms are always ABS.

  • Mighty Morphin is still the coolest!

  • I agree with you on them being welcoming. Great review once more!

  • @ajconsonery

    Thank you. ^^

  • Anyone else think a revoltech megazord would be a good idea? throw in the revoltech joints and everything? or is that just my opinion?

  • @vakatahu

Many others, in fact, like that idea. Unlikely though.

HOWEVER, the SRC line out of Japan has just come out with a fully-poseable 4.5" Shinken-Oh (aka Samurai Megazord) that I have reserved the right to cover for CDX! It's doubtful the SRC will come to the US, but, yes, a Revoltech Super Sentai robo would be awesomesauce.

  • @EVAUnit4A It would be awesome. Can't wait to see the review!

ps:on youtube or the CDX website?

  • @vakatahu

Probably both, since I reviewed the Retrofires here as well. Since I usually don't cover action figures, though, I'm not sure.

  • a quick trick to fix the skirt armor issue is either hot water or a hair drier, I use it alot to fix the skirt armor issue with my E-MSIA and MSIA G3 Gundam and Zuda

  • @GundamLegacyExtreme

Does it weaken the plastic so that it eventually breaks easier, or does it just deform it?

  • @EVAUnit4A

Well I haven't had a problem, i've only done it twice. The blow drier I haven't really used just yet but the hot water works fine. The trick is to just use really hot water on a paper towel and place it on the piece till it heats up, then it should be able to go back into place without a problem.

  • you now my little cousin have a wild force megazord like that

  • You gonna ever review the second wave of Retrofire megazords? It consists of the Thundersaurus megazord, Titan Megazord, & Valvemax megazord

  • @tubeview96

    I dearly wanted to, but they never arrived in any stores near me! -_-;

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Well, it is probably for the best... from the reviews i have read (& just the general look of these toys), they don't look to be nearly as good as the first wave; they look blocky, bad leg articulation seems possible, & The fact that 2 of them don't have real hands & 1 has wings... they look not up to the same high quality as wave 1

  • @tubeview96

Hey-hey-hey-hey- I happen to LOVE the Titan Megazord/MagiKing design, so don't bash it too hard, yo.

As to articulation, I haven't researched them, so I can't comment on that.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Comment removed

  • @CollectionDX ME LOVES MAGIKING TOO :D

    HIGH FIVE

  • @CollectionDX me lieks talking in third person\

    me dumb

  • @CollectionDX did you have to put that creepy music in the intro D:

  • @TropicJuice

Yes. That's my theme song. >=)

It's actually an intense action sequence from the anime series "Neon Genesis Evangelion" (1995-96).

  • \actually these are my 3 favourite zords!:O

  • why don't u try buying the minipla? it's really articulated for zords

  • @ygogxduelist

Can't bring myself to buy replacements of pre-built 12" transformable toys with an assembly-required model standing only 5" tall.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • remember the end of In Space? Yeah, that should have ended the entirety of Power Rangers as all the villains became good.

  • @gyrrakavian

    Meh.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Just saying.

  • where is the Retrofire wave 2 review? can not find it on youtube

  • @TheHappy4u

Sadly, they never released it. A shame, really- I was looking forward to the Thundersaurus and Titan Megazords. Q.Q

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX

I saw several sellers on amazon and ebay have those, so I though it might released at a short time or some location in US?

  • @TheHappy4u

No, if it's not physically on the shelves right now, it is not coming out.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX

so how could they get those and Amazon and ebay are the only way for those??

  • big long sword...god i have a dirty mind

  • @cammo353

    LoL?

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @cammo353 lol, big and thick that's how we like it :P

  • @GeminiEdgeZ47

That's difficult for me to answer, considering I don't collect action figures of any kind. But keep this in mind: while the Retrofire Megazords are action figure-sized, I got the impression that they are more meant to be display pieces because of their quality and how they pose, but they can be handled by kids just as easily.

If you want a poseable action-oriented version of a Megazord which forgoes special features, this is certainly the way to go.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • i Like that its called the "mamoth sheild" xD in japan it wasnt the Black Mastadon ranger it was the Mamoth ranger o.o if i remember correctly

  • @GeminiEdgeZ47

    Umm... yah.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • EVA, when you were talking about how the right fist, shoulder, and Head could pop off, and the left one couldn't, that's not entirely true, the entire left arm can pop off from the top of the forearm down (just where the forearm meets the bottom of the shoulder.)

  • @ChaosZero102

Meh, why would you want it to anyways?

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX True, but maybe to also replicate some action scenes, or make some of your own like making it seem like the megazord had it's arm cut off or torn off.

  • @ChaosZero102

No, these were not designed to have the limbs come off; they are strictly action figures designed for posing. They only come apart because of their construction.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • those were some epic gasps.

  • @Zenbowyen

    LoL Thanks.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX lol no prob lol nice vids btw

  • @Zenbowyen

    Thank you. ^^

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Maybe the MMPR Zord has its arm joint on the right arm is so you can emitate its finisher in some way.

Can the High Octane Megazord pose in its finisher? Just wondering.

  • @Godzillawolf1

You mean, where the HOM hovers over the ground as it charges at the enemy? Yeah, it can do that.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX Awesome! Now I really want him! Think stores would still have this dude in stock? I normally don't go for the mini figures, but these look like wicked display pieces. Best pose I can get out of my Zenith Megazord is the 'G6 Grand Prix' pose.

  • @trilunabu10

You don't have to comment either. You could just vote thumbs-down and leave it at that. Or, perhaps you could, like, make an attempt at, like, legible English grammar and, like, tell me why I sucks.

    :P

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • how many toy do toy have?

  • @XiiaoSamx4

    +100.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX thats many you rich or something? pls reply to me

  • @XiiaoSamx4

    Oh, hardly-! I haven't had a job since 2007.

No, my collection as it is now has been slowly building since 1993, when I got into Power Rangers. Yeah, I had a few TFs before then, but I wasn't "collecting" them.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • where did you buy it?

  • @jokerstyle654

Umm... nowhere. I got them as samples directly from BA.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • which plastic is better PBC or ABS

  • @takanuinuva

    Depends what it's used for.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX i mean what are the differences between PBC plastic and ABS plastic

  • @takanuinuva

ABS is the standard hard plastic you usually find in toys or any other construction requiring solid form. While PVC has a variety of different forms, in the context of toys it is usually a soft material used for safety reasons.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • .. de hell is this

  • @zaerozxadvent

    Awesomeness. That's what.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • shaft

  • @Edje1953 LoL

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • why do you keep saying -EVA_Unit_4A?

  • @Edje1953 Because I AM EVA_Unit_4A!

Josh and me and a few others share access to this profile. So we need to uniquely identify ourselves when we post, or else you wouldn't know who was responding!

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Wow, the Retrofire version of the original Megazord looks awesome. I'd love to see what they'd come up with for the Thunder Megazord and Shogun Megazord. Ooh, and a Retrofire Serpentera (the huge, badass one in Season 2, not the crappy version in "Forever Red) would be great!

  • Naw- keep it just "Megazords" and I'll love it.

If anything, I'd love to see the Cyclopsis war zord that Goldar piloted in the "not-a-finale!" finale episode.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • This line gives me hope for our Bandai T_T. I don't care if they're considered revoltech knock-offs, I'll buy all of them.

  • Indeed!

The next wave of figured are the Titan Megazord, Thundersaurus Megazord, and Valve-Max Megazord.

    (I like the first-two, but I can do w/o the Valve-Max...)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • I know. that's what got me in a twitter. The valemax is my most hated zord, so that's why I was so amazed with what they did with it.

  • They were planning to release Wave 2 in the second half of 2009, when RPM was still on the air, so the Valve-Max would have fit in then.

But I completely agree that the High Octane Megazord was enough for RPM's representation in the Retrofire line.

    C'mon, Astro Megazord-!

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • C'mon Astro Megazord!!!

    C'mon DragonZord Battle Mode!!!!

    C'mon MegaWinger!!!!!

    C'mon Mega Voyager!!!!!!

  • when was these ever released O.o where did you get the infromation from? I live in Singapore, hope to be able to find these now!

  • @ maxtergundam

I got them as samplers from Bandai America. They were in all toy stores that carried PR toys.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • i think it mit be $5.00

  • wave 2 is coming out soon can u review it soon it releases

  • Really-!? I thought I'd already missed it since "RPM" is almost done...

    ^_^;

    Thanks for the heads-up!

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Dude.. You ok?? You're shaking like crazy in this video..

  • Fear not, tis a natural tremor I've had all me life.

    ;)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • The left leg of my Highoctane Retro fire seems to be a bit longer then its other leg anyone else have this problem?

  • Meh- could be a simple manufacturing error that slipped past the QC folks.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • I bought these for my younger nephew, but I thought the stands were plain inappropriate. They could have just made them transparent.

  • Well, I certainly *hope* he was younger than you! =)

They could have, yes, but I saw nothing wrong with them. The lightning bolt is traditional, and the choice of silver was, I'm sure, related to metal. *shrugs*

So, what did he think of them?

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @CollectionDX He was only 7, and he didn't complain about anything. But my nephew didn't like the arms limited movement. =(

  • @milkcarton30121

Dude- *no one* liked the arm-movement on these. ;)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • My opinion about the MMPR Megazord's arm poseability

Left arm: I'm gonna protect myself...

Right arm: I'M GONNA MURDER YAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i agree with u about the release of the zeo megazord, one of the coolest megazords.......

  • @deadsmoke13 Let's hope that if they do, (or if they even release the Super Zeo megazord, or better yet both, they will let both arms be fully poseable like on the original deluxe sized figures (both having Shoulder, elbow rotation, elbow articulation, and wrist articulation) I'm sure you can agree with me on that considering your review of those two megazords right EVA?

  • I laughed when you put the High octane in the stand.

  • You were supposed to!

    =)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • you remind me of jp from grandmas boy lol (its a good thing)

  • I wouldnt mind seeing combineable deluxe size versions of these figures,

sure the possibility might go down a notch, but i think its a small price to pay for seeing individual remastering of each individiual zord, what do you think Eva?

  • ...you're joking, right?

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • that depends, which awnser will get me falcon punched? O.O

  • "...remastering of each individiual zord..."

What do you think BA has been doing for the last 4 years...? >:(

Poseability on the Dlx-sized will NEVER get as good as a Retrofire Megazord. Period. So give that dream up right now. I've been waiting for almost 16 years for a fully-articulate Dlx set and it hasn't happened yet.

(They've been waiting even longer in Japan, where the show originates from- 33 years to be precise!)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • oh well, and while im being a dick (jk XD)

what do you have against 10-12 engines? i understand G12 is retarded but the ainchent engine is somewhat interesting right? right :o

  • Wrong.

They is ugly as separate Engines, as Kyouretsu-Oh, and as Engine-Oh G12. That's 3 good reasons right there not to spend $100 importing them.

Plus, they break the trend set by the other Engines in the line- which I absolutely HATE in Super Sentai toys- but I don't have space to explain that here.

Besides, my interest in "Engine Sentai Go-Onger" has ebbed, so I'm not actively pursuing it anymore. I'm scrambling to get "Shinkenger" stuff, and saving for the new "Goseiger".

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • oh, good point, but if you hate tren breaking, your gonna hate the rest of shinkengers line XD

from what i have seen, none of the other mechs have badge forms (if thats what you mean by trend) and the final mech combo makes G12 look as if it could have Go-roaders articulation, if that makes the least bit of sense,

oh, (newb moment) whats Goseiger? :o

  • "Tensou Sentai Goseiger", the 2010 Super Sentai Series. Many suspect either a card-playing- or space-theme.

Yes, I know all about the trends for "Shinkenger", as I know about all the Origami at this point. I'm not gonna get either Daikai-Oh or Mogyudai-Oh, but I'll still be able to make Buster Shinken-Oh(sp?).

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • The retro fire Mighty Morphin Megazord looks like the best one to me

  • gay

  • Care to be a bit more elaborate as to which part you dislike, you dim-witted monosyllabic commentator?

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • are you guys going to do video review on all the ninja storm figures?

  • PRNS, no. I have already covered the Dlx Samurai Star Lightning Chopper in a video review.

But I plan someday to cover [almost] all of the mecha from "Ninpuu Sentai Hurricanger".

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • Are you going to review the wave 2 retrofires? and I find that my Retrofire Highoctane leans to one side, is that just me?

  • If they ever come out, yes.

For those who don't know, wave 2 contains the Titan Megazord (yay!), Thundersaurus Megazord (yay!), and Valve-Max Megazord (hah-!?).

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • I am glad about the Titan and Thundersaurus Megazords being in wave 2, (any idea when the U.S. Release date of Wave 2 will be???) but I can't help but wonder: will they re- release another DragonZord to go with the 2010 MMPR Dino Megazord? (also if they will release a wave 3 for the retrofire megazords that has the DragonZord Battle mode and possiblilty in both arms at elbows, wrists and sholders.

  • (We should be posting our video coverage of Bandai America's booth at the 2010 New York Toy Fair soon. I suggest you post your question there when it goes up...)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • thanks I have subscribed to you guys (CollectionDX channel) that way I can find the video when it is posted, and ask the question then.

  • I have an idea, if you have two you can do customizeing

  • song at end brings back so many memoires

  • I didn't get to see the movie in theaters (I was in a hospital at the time), but I got the chance years later on VHS. Good movie. A little rough around the edges, and I'm sure a proper movie sequel would have been more refined.

But I, too, found the OST to be inspirational, especially "Megazord Battle"- where the Rangers summon the Ninja Zords and fight the Ectomorphicons.

Damn Fox for forcing a made-for-TV movie onto the big screen in the sequel! They killed any real sequel!

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • I agree at first I diffident see the Fox TV version, which was lame if you ask me compared to the film.

I was only little at the time the film was out in theatres, but I remember it being the best thing ever with the rangers having proper suit's instead of the latex in the TV series.

I wished for a very long time that the suits in the film and also the original ninety outfits stayed on in to the series. It would have made it a whole lot better don't you think.

  • As for the sequel that never was, I think so much could have been done.

    For example:

    New megazords

    Upgraded ningety powers

    New weapons

And the list goes on and on.

  • cool collection ,,, nice hobby

  • Like collecting in general, though, it can be an expensive hobby...!

    ;)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • With different paint, I would think that the mighty morphin retrofire was satan...

  • Well the original Zyurangers did fight DaiSatan so maybe he has a mecha too?

  • How much are they? The MM-Mega Zord looks awesome!

  • Um... watch the credits? :P

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • @InsertDisk2 I have only the MM Mega Zord, but I got it for about roughly $14.99

  • so do u think there will be any truth to the legend that before power rangers ends all the zords will combine into one giant super megazord?

  • I like them.

  • I'm waiting for the ValveMax Megazord to be released already.

  • Hey If You Hate Power Rangers Don't Watch The Videos. You Can't Just Be Watching Power Ranger Videos And Saying Power Rangers Suck. I mean It's Your Fault That You Were The One Watching Power Ranger Videos

  • ur funny

  • Thankyouverymuch!

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • at least shinkenger has moveable legs, but sadly, it is transformation movement

  • "Mighty Morphin' Megazord" sounds so lame. It will always be (*THE*) Megazord to me.

  • Oh, yeah- I struggled behind the camera not to say just that too! ;)

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • A little Disappointed by the wild force megazord it was one of my favourites as a kid

  • I wish they'd just remake the original Megazord like it was...it was only cool b/c it came apart...

  • Had I not noticed your name, I would have disagreed.

Yes, PR needs a major overhaul. Dude- I mean, look how awesome "Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight" is to the original series- it's royally kicking PR-RPM's ass in the ratings, w00t!

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • i now have Wild Force one is so cool

  • man i was 8 when i watch every episode of power rangers

  • with the high octane megazord you could say it has no possibility other then transformation joints because it need the arm rotation for combined modes

  • kkkkkkk

  • LOL, "slide it in when it's not looking"....

  • in the first ninja storm megazord the shoulders turned 360

  • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers :

    The Best.

    The Original.

  • when will u review the Samurai Gattai zords?

  • All my orders are on hold, so even though I ordered them months ago, I haven't gotten them yet!

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • The original zord toys were SO much better back then. The original set of MightyMorphin Power Rangers zords was completely WICKED. Got to put them all together to get the Megazord, DragonMegaZord and the UltraZord when you got Titanis.! Then You have the ThunderZords(which I still have OMG) that were pretty close to the same awesomeness. but I think the Ninja Zords were nearly the last of the COmbinable zords to make megazord. some later ones prior to PowerRangers IN Space, had combinability

  • You made me pull out my Zeo, Turbo, and Astro Zords.

Holy shit, I had a nostalgia blast.

  • Oh, awesome-! Good for you! =D

Even though I have all of the original Dlx-sized Megas, they sit on my shelves collecting dust for years. But, once in a while, I too get a nostalgia blast and gotta grab at 'em for a little bit.

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • I wonder if the retrofire original megazord can hold the dx power sword.

  • 4:02 LOL you sounded like mr. bean

    5:21 buggs bunny liddat

  • MIGHTY MORPHIN! FROM MY CHILDHOOD!

Where do I get one, and For how much? :G

  • about $15

  • remembered the 1993 movie, brings back memories lol tho it looks almost identical to voltron XD

  • the show was in 93 the movie was in 95

  • cool figs !

  • i love the gundam feel to the MMP megazord

  • I'd love to see a revoltech version of these...

  • revolech megazords would be awesome

  • agree

  • Agreed!

But, I think this will be as close to Revoltech Megas as we're gonna get for now...

    --EVA_Unit_4A

  • ooo i want the mighty morphin megazord because i grew up with that

  • Mighty morphin' megazord has stupid arm articulation =[

I woulda bought it if they just gave both arms similar joints!

  • i actualy bought the mighty morphin retro fire megazord

unfortunatly the waist joint was broke before i bought it so when i opened it it fell apart in my hands(it has since been returned)

  • Posable power rangers/sentai figures? crazy. Maybe in a few more years they'll have some 5-6 inch well articulated figures.

  • O.o I...want Power Rangers toys?

  • me to
