  • to the one who dislikes this video: its not always necessary that something explodes to have a good video

  • Nice

  • Awesome video. My family and I watched a sunset from Maricopa Point in July 2004 that looked very similar. The clouds were great, adding some nice texture and color to the sunset. Thanks for sharing!

  • Breathtaking- The clouds look spectacular

  • At what point at GC was this shot?

  • impressive! i want this camera

  • u shoulda sped this up to like 5 seconds worth, woulda made a cool timelapse

  • exactly my thoughts on this video.

  • why is this called "sunset" when it's a sunrise?

  • wiseass.

"if you can't say something nice..."

I liked the vid - well done!

  • sorry to burst your bubble, but the sun is going DOWN...it starts behind the clouds, and ends behind the mountains....the mountains are below the clouds, thus a "sunset"

  • i retract my comment...i stand corrected

    my bad...hahaha

  • u stand when you use the internet? hehe ;)

  • exactly...it does rise.

it might set near end, can't tell...

  • No one is forcing you to click any ads or even visit my site to begin with. All the ads are clearly labeled as ads and I get nothing from megaupload except a free place to store the huge HD video files. And I'm actually closer to 20 than 40. But I did make $0.42 from adsense yesterday, one of my best days, woo hoo!

  • hi.

AdSense isn't paying much. Is best to have "fastclick dot com" but is very hard to get approved.

  • Great shot. HV20 owner myself. Working with Premiere Elements 3.0, HDVSplit and MPEG Streamclip. One question if you don't mind: what's your workflow for downconversion from HDV to SD? What's your workflow for youtube? I've been trying to wring the best video quality I can out of this camera, and I'm always curious to see what others are doing.

  • I'm fairly new to video editing. I'm using Sony Vegas. It has some default export functions that I used. It's pretty much just exporting it out at "best" quality at 720x480 resolution. Then from there I just uploaded the video to youtube. It was widescreen but for some reason youtube made it fullscreen. It was being output from vegas as an MPG-2 file for DVD. Hope this helps.

  • You need a special filter to make it right and safety.

  • yeah that's right... that kind of stuff damage the sensor.

  • it would be nice if this video were 20 seconds...PLEASE speed up about 10x this!

  • I was able to shrink it down to 37 seconds. I'm using Sony Vegas and still in the learning curve. I will be posting the high definition versions on my site soon. The URL is in the video description.

  • cool, but if you are just learning a new software, i reccomend Premiere Pro...vegas will only take you so far, then if you want more you will have to learn a new program all over again.

  • premiere pro's good, but i have the HV20 too and it won't capture in HD format so that's annoying. version 1.5 at least

  • i used premiere pro cs3 exclusively with my hv20 footage. of course i have version CS3
