....and Archie has grown TREMENDOUSLY as a performer since his season on AI. His confidence on stage now is ridiculous, but it wasn't there when he was in competition. But that's ok. Cook's latest album flopped and while so did Archie's, Archie is the one I see still having a future in music. His voice is the kind that's timeless, like a Sinatra. Archie was just never cut out to be a teen pop star. He didn't seem comfortable in that role anyway.

I voted for Archie every week and he had by far the best voice out of everyone that year, BUT I think Cook deserved to win just because he really transformed over the season and looked ready to take on the music biz and,well,just plain picked better songs. Archie sang beautifully all season but picked a lot of awful songs and didn't grow as a performer. Now I never bought Cook's music and I did buy Archie's but I stand by my feeling that Cook deserved the title. Archie did better by not winning.
