You are way, way off. You have set up a straw man argument and have erred in not taking all of scripture into account. As to our responsibility, it is not "just" to proclaim. It is also to take action Luke 4:18 says bring "Good news to the poor" Good news is not just the word, it is also the deed. In this teaching Lawson has made an idol out "exposition". Jesus did expound on the scripture but he also told stories (parables) that also gave simple instructions as to how to live-do both.
