I hear what you're saying. Cable news has sadly gone from actual journalism to "personality press". It's true of Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity, Shep Smith, and just about anybody you can name.
But even so, Rachel Maddow is NOT a female Bill O'Reilly. Maddow does not talk over her guests, or yell at them when they attempt to express an opposing view. Maddow does not engage in juvenile name calling (e.g. "pinhead"). Maddow does not have guests' microphones turned off...
They are very different.
