I came into this video thinking I was going to dislike it. I thought it was another fish eye skating video or something. However, It was awesome. This short film really captured the heart this guy has for what he does. It's too bad I can't netflix this.

I am very proud of this film because it went way deeper than most skater movies to look at motivation, character- who these skater boys are or were. I like them very much and admired them and found throughout my production that they were honorable caring people.
Even though I'm a skateboarder of over a decade... this is a cool snippet. We all know that feeling of riding with your homies through a city and not giving a damn about a single thing but the pebbles and the cracks on the ground.
fyi a legend is considered someone who is 60+. In other words you gotta be around for a while to get that title. Not putting skater dude down, maybe one day he'll get to be one.

We were cool at 90's..now we're most minor and forgotten xtrem sport, and our industry is poor.

Mate, if i had half the talent (and age) these dudes had it wouldn't bother me whether in-line was cool etc... skating gave me heaps to cope in the life of hard knocks. Ryan and the lads inspired me to be myself despite what others are doing.

hey i used to have skates with four wheels and it made it harder to gring on my h-blocks, using 2 wheels with anti-rockers is much easier and i think it looks better
i have a question for you guys who are really good at aggressive skating. im looking into getting a pair. would you suggest getting skates with 4 normal wheels. or two normal and with the anti rocker wheels, thats said to make grinding easier.

Kalmah and others: I do not believe it will ever be as popular as it was in the 90s. Dating aggressively did not involve brilliant technology -- turning your skates sideways and screeching down a pole was not present. But it helped a lot of mostly boys who were not the football player types or the skateboard mean guys to find a home and a way to meet girls etc. A great time it was.
rollerblading is bigger then it ever was, its just uder ground, the reason it died and people weren't interested anymore was because you had the big shot vert skaters like tony hawk, bucky, bob, and all of em, thats where the money and fans were, rollin went mainstream at the wrong time, anybody and any roller will admit rollin looked corny as hell in the 90's if it came out now ppl would shit, didu know rollerbladers started x games, but they got cut cause ppl lost interest. thats pretty fucked

@allinaday That would be an amazing documentary its a shame the audience is so small, not many people can relate to the stories. These days those skaters years ago would be unrecognisable to the new generation of bladers. Its a shame how we all have dreams as skaters and very few get to those dreams.

@CauliFlowerHead1 Man, that was long time ago when people like Ryan could live just by rollerblading...and I really admire you if you could do 720 and this huge bio 540 transfer when it was filmed. This video actually shows how REAL street skating used to be - using every obstacle, every ledge, anything you can grind, jump from etc. Pure enjoyment. People like Ryan Jacklone, Rawlinson Rivera, Joe Dedentro will remain as true legends of Rollerblading Golden Era.

Mate, if i had half the talent (and age) these dudes had it wouldn't bother me whether in-line was cool etc... skating gave me heaps to cope in the life of hard knocks. Ryan and the lads inspired me to be myself despite what others are doing.

and this year i plan to live in new york to further my photography career, i hope i can meet some people that still live this lifestyle like i do up there. if this makes any sense.. it just feels natural to blade and tag and just be reckless with your friends, and i feel as if all the young people i know hang with worry to much about following trends and lost their sense of live fast die whenever prerogatives.

hey i used to have skates with four wheels and it made it harder to gring on my h-blocks, using 2 wheels with anti-rockers is much easier and i think it looks better

would you suggest getting skates with 4 wheels or 2 wheels and two of the anti rockers, i heard they make grinding easier.

what are you talking about rolling did die and is now somewhat making a comeback but it will most likely never become as big as it did in the 90s or at least it wont rocket in popularity like it suddenly did in the 90s granted though it is slowly coming back but its nothing compared to what it was in the 90s

Kalmah and others: I do not believe it will ever be as popular as it was in the 90s. Dating aggressively did not involve brilliant technology -- turning your skates sideways and screeching down a pole was not present. But it helped a lot of mostly boys who were not the football player types or the skateboard mean guys to find a home and a way to meet girls etc. A great time it was.

rollerblading is bigger then it ever was, its just uder ground, the reason it died and people weren't interested anymore was because you had the big shot vert skaters like tony hawk, bucky, bob, and all of em, thats where the money and fans were, rollin went mainstream at the wrong time, anybody and any roller will admit rollin looked corny as hell in the 90's if it came out now ppl would shit, didu know rollerbladers started x games, but they got cut cause ppl lost interest. thats pretty fucked

And have you been to the skate parks, as of late? ppl really under estimate what could be done in 10 years. Watch the Brazilionare interview he's a film maker for rollerblading and watch the seen that's starting to come. It's these kids now that are sick of seeing the skateboarders and bmxers on tv who are coming to rollerblading.
