The fur trade isn't that bad really. It's just China where they're too lazy to kill the animals before they skin them, and they clearly have no heart if they can painfully kill a dog, a dog that a child somewhere would love to have alive. I'm pro-hunting, and pro-fur (though I don't like it when it's used for an ugly coat), but it depends on where and how the fur was obtained. I ALWAYS steer clear of ANYTHING that comes from a place outside of the US or Canada.
@madhutchings No, there are laws in the US and Canada that make sure the aimals are at least killed humanely. And if they aren't treated well at all, wouldn' diseases make them loose their fur? Makes no sense if all you're doing is selling good quality fur. Besides, I know some people who own, or know people who own small farms with outdoor enclosures for the animals. Not all farms are giant with 30+ foxes and mink.
China and other Asian countries on the other hand, have no laws what-so-ever.

when I watched this I pretty muched cried. It hurts even more to know just how many kill them and get a away with it. Whenever I see a video like this I NEED to have it combined with a call for action. Don't post a horrible video without telling people what they can do to stop the horror. I've become mostly vegan (I eat eggs from MY chickens), I sign every petition and send out letters every week to government officials and companies that support predator derbies and the like but each video or photo montage of horrors like this needs to have at least ONE link to an action like that will do some good.

This video is confusing and misleading about modern humane trapping. You should picture of wild fox and other animals in foot hold traps but these where outlawed in Canada a long time ago. I don't disagree that we need to reduce animal suffering but don't be so blind to think that just being alive and using your modern technology is not causing environmental damage and affecting wild animals.

Animal Friends is a shelter and charity that help animals that have been abused/neglected/used in dog fights etc. They dont kill their animals that are brought in and the animals arent in a cage all day waiting for someone to adopt them. its 1 of the best shelters ive ever been to!

when I watched this I pretty muched cried. It hurts even more to know just how many kill them and get a away with it. Those people deserve to die or burned, or at least be put through the pain these animals felt. When I found out my friend was abusing her animal I almost killed her. That poor animal had burns,bruises,and was starving. But even through all that the pet still had hope and i called and adopted the Lucie because she deserved to be loved

Whenever I see a video like this I NEED to have it combined with a call for action. Don't post a horrible video without telling people what they can do to stop the horror. I've become mostly vegan (I eat eggs from MY chickens), I sign every petition and send out letters every week to government officials and companies that support predator derbies and the like but each video or photo montage of horrors like this needs to have at least ONE link to an action like that will do some good.

If we all want animal abuse to stop why don't we all say something? We do its a law but no one follows it. Why? They think they'll never get caught. SO maybe Our government would take it more seriously and give a min of 20 years in jail if there caught abusing an animal. This video is confusing and misleading about modern humane trapping. You should picture of wild fox and other animals in foot hold traps but these where outlawed in Canada a long time ago. I don't disagree that we need to reduce animal suffering but don't be so blind to think that just being alive and using your modern technology is not causing environmental damage and affecting wild animals.

@quarter9horse it appears i'll be bursting your bubble. Why do cows produce milk? Because they have baby cows, if the baby cow is a bull, it can't produce milk. Therefore it's being quickly fattened and sold as veal. The mother cow is forced to have a lot of babies, and the babies are being taken away as quickly as possible.
Milk cows and veal rarely see daylight, nice life huh?

I just wish there were more people who actually try to fix and care about this issue. seems to be more animals suffering abuse than children (maybe not) but im just saying 'cause of all the abuse and suffering i see. Animal Friends is a shelter and charity that help animals that have been abused/neglected/used in dog fights etc. They dont kill their animals that are brought in and the animals arent in a cage all day waiting for someone to adopt them. its 1 of the best shelters ive ever been to!

i respect your kindness, but unfortunately there is only one way to save the animals, a large group has to be formed like PETA except this time it must be vigilante group. and enforcement and physical beating on the people doing these cruel acts would be ideal,so people know they cant mess with animals unless it is humane and for food. but we all know only the government can control that so its probably not gonna happen

i used to think that, but people dont even get punished for what they do to animals. im not saying kill the people, im saying break down their door and treat them how swat team would treat them. there needs to be a legitamite group that does this. its funny how everyone who doesnt care about animal cruelty goes after PETA like just because we care about animals we're part of PETA, i know they are over the edge, they need to stop crying and start acting. dont confuse me with PETA

i will agree the justice system is screwed up. there is no real punishment anymore for offenders whether it be against people or animals. there needs to be a total justice system overhaul where punishment becomes an actual deterent rather than time spent being taken care of by others tax dollars

I do all I can & encourage others. I am happy to hear that England has stopped dog and cat fur from china from being sold in their country.
