Hey Bro when i click open effects editor it pops up but it doesnt give me that side bar (Pan and Zoom, 3D Stroke, ect.) how do you suppose i get to that?

@xSnipingHQx You have to choose the effect in the top first. Camera, then choose the effect you want from the top. If you don't see the effect use the scroll arrows on the right and left to get to it.

Hey just wanted to tell you, I just upgraded to Avid Studio and have been trying out some of your tricks. They are awesome. Please, as you figure this crap out keep on posting. I have used Magix, Pinnacle, Cyberlink, and Adobe. For my money Avid Studio is the best over all video editing software and I've only been using it for about a month. Thanks again for your contributions.

Hi, I am thinking about buying Avid Studio, but I have a question. When I pressed buy, for delivery method, it said electronic download. Does this mean it is possible to buy it as a disk and recieve it in the mail? And if not and I have to download it onto my computer, what would happen if I switched to a new computer? Would I have to buy the whole product for the new computer again? Okay, that's all, oh, and by the way, awesome videos!

@BruceUS If you buy it from the Pinnacle/Avid website or B&H Photo you can buy the disc. It might give you the option to download first and then offer the disc as well.

I just recently got an HD PVR and I it makes the videos into an MP4, TS, or M2TS. Now I've only done the MP4 and TS format but not the M2TS format yet, but honestly I don't think it would make a difference. I have Pinnacle Studio's 12 and Pinnacle Studios 15HD and neither of them can support the video, only the audio, it just keeps freeze framing the video but plays the audio, do you think if I bought Avid Studio, would it do the same thing? Or do you have any suggestions for me to fix it?

@EpicnessOfVeNoMoUs Pinnacle supposrts MP4 files so there must be a separate issue. Google "ts converter" and download a free trial to convert some of your TS files to mpeg-2 or WMV files. Try using those in Pinnacle and see if they work.

@AvidStudioPro Yes after some research I did notice that. ;) I downloaded the trial version. But i got some problems about the preview, it's simply just black but the sound is playing though. The video is a .avi with a FPS1 codec. Which i recorded from fraps. Any suggestions to fix this? :)

@chrishawk93 I am not familiar with the FPS1 codec. If the audio is playing from the .AVI file you may be able to correct the issue by c=using a video converter to convert the file to a codec that Avid Studio recognizes like mpeg2 of a full .AVI codec.

@yayfilmsTV11 The slow motion on Avid Studio is great. Not planning on making a tut I already did (sorry), but all you have to do is skip the part of the tut where I added the spotlight effect. :-)

@blastlaughs I do not know the specifics of Nvidia cards so I cannot tell you with any certainty. It is always best to do your own research. You need to look up the info at the Nvidia website to be sure.

@blastlaughs If it is a Nvidia GeForce 6 series or higher card it will work. If the 8400GS is higher than a 6 serires it will work. You need to look up the info at the Nvidia website to be sure.

@AreWeFamousNow Adobe Premiere CS5 with After Effects will be your best bet if you are trying to get into the industry using professional software. Many TV and movie studios use different software but Avid Media Composer and Adobe CS5 with After Effects are used most.

@Birgittew You have to open effects editor, and then add an effect from the top of the screen (add ons: Stroke, Light Factory, etc.) to the clip in order to get the options on the right side of the screen.

@HaloForgeShowRoom Avid/Pinnacle does not test or validate Studio on the Apple Mac at all. They test and validate using Windows XP, Vista and Win 7 OS only.
