@xoxoXoieoxox Thanks for the reply, it is a fascinating topic and the idea of running vehicles on wood never fails to blow my mind. I came across a company that is trying to use waste exhaust heat to power a steam boiler which can assist the normal internal combustion engine with a steam piston. Something like that might improve efficiency somewhat. I'm sorry I don't have the link, was browsing through a dozen articles that day.
@Joomoobi if it works u know some corp. will buy it up were never made to get a head the gov makes shure of that butt it si an awsome ida but u know it will never make it to perdution... use les gas un herd of is what the oil compant will say and it will disaper bummer huu =\
@Joomoobi BTW dont let them cath u driving that on the street in the stats B\C its totaly ileagle un fotunetly seence ur not buing gasoline ur not paying the road tax and they WILL bust u and charge u for all the milage they think u used it is a set presedent case sux huu =\
@Spiritplumber worng acctualy ur still paying the road tax through the electric company BTW this was an allredy desided cort case i think it sux but it IS ILLEAGLE fight the GOV. not mee id still do it to it u want to see the cort case look 4 the first guy that hade a vegtable VW bus drove it all over the us to prove it could work the gov found out and Charged him and impounded the bus so at ur own rick right (what do i care if u get caut =3-
@xoxoXoieoxox I asked. Apparently you are right in some jurisdictions, including in the bay area where they get around it by selling you 99% biodeisel 1% mineral diesel.
@xoxoXoieoxox I am working on a gassafier for my 82 jeep but was wondering how exactly you would run it into the carberator? Ive seen other videos where people run a line from the intake or something ....I dont get it. Co uld you help me?
@KesslersCross ok hers kinda a tecnical ansuer ok u dont realy need the car if u just want to use wood gas but if u pipe the wood gas in betwen the carb and the manifold...sart on gas then let in the wood gas and taper off the fule one ur on wood gas the carb is nothing more than ur air regulator now regulate the wood gas to around 50\50 keep in mind stop and go dosent woork well with this sort of thing any more ??? just ask =3-
@xoxoXoieoxox Hmm, okay. How would I pipe the wood gas between the carb and the manifold? The plan was to just use the good gas but I didnt know if there would be compression issues or anything like that. I also want to build one to run a generator for my cabin but...once again, cant figure out how to make the thing run.
@KesslersCross wood gasifiers can be very tuchy geting it under the carb on a car u gona have to be creative but to pipe it into a generator just take off the carb and pipe the wood gas srait in ull have to make some kind of like y pipe with 2 valvs one lets in wood gas and the other let in air the mix needs to be like 1:1 i recomend that u make sur that the wood gas id flamable buy doing just a flare up if the flame is blue ur good if its orange u need more filters or beter reactor =3-
but will this pass inspection??? and what kind of ticket would you get if cops learned of it?? would they then ban it ? and last but not least, would the wood gas be explosive and or a road hazard in the event one of them on the truck bed be a danger to drivers behind the exploding vehicle?? but i guess, the quest for gas savings in any design can be a danger! im gonna try the gas vapor thing with my 94 ford explorer. awesome job by the way, i love the smell of a campfire on the road ;)
waynes world...lol...was that a load of gas in the back of that truck...or a load of wood?...or a load of woodgas?...so....how many miles to the cord?....lol....thanks for the vid...i love good ol...stick it to the man technology!...
Careful Wayne !!! If it gets too refined the big 3 will want to buy the patent from you and destroy the plans, just like the engine that ran on water - that will never be produced even though its enviromentaly friendly , the big 3 would be out of buisiness, not to mention those greedy oil companies...
curious what kind of run times / miles one can drive vs the amount of wood and times filling the hopper. How far can you go? Seems like it could be a good supplement to gasoline when it becomes super expensive someday, soon?
He sold one to me and another one to a guy in Auburn, Maine.

Are these wood gas trucks for sale?

if it was my decision, I would put all the gauges up front on the windshield and then drive it like a locomotive with my head out the window

Hmm, I was just wondering, if the gasifier produces a constant stream of gas, what happens to the excess gas when the vehicle slows down or idles?
Joomoobi 5 months ago
@Joomoobi well it all depend how u doo it mine will just kinda slow the reaction down at idle or blow it off when it stopps

@xoxoXoieoxox Good opinion about the orange and blue flame. It tells if the gas is clean. Good thinking Batman.
