That show was awesome,i just finished the entire series today and i must say they do finish the show without show us what the robinson family will do! Do they go to their destination alpha centaury? do they are in a way back to earth? none of those questions realy awnsered in the final episode junkyard in space.Exept if i am loosing some extra episodes that were never released on tv,like the pilot that they claimed that this was a unaired spasial.Maybe the producers wished for future shows.
Although a movie featuring B-2 and Robby could be awesome!
And I admit, I do have a dream of building a K-9.
I know they have groups, but it would be fun, helpful, and a ay to make lifelong friends with fellow nuts would a "sumer camp" for robot geeks. But wouldn't it be fun, A bunch of folks ranging some people know nothing, some experts... just making robots? whee was THAT when I was a kis?
Hi 765tony. Sorry for the delay in response. My computer was down. I think the remco robot is work a couple hundred bucks if not more. You might want to check ebay and see what they are going for now. Thanks so much for watching this video. Glad to hear you have one of those yourself!
I definitely think there is a connection. I think I remember reading somewhere about it or that the "robby-type" robot was a guest on LIS sometime. If memory serves, didn't the robby robot have moving legs? Thanks so much for watching this video. Much appreciated!
You are indeed right Robby the Robot in Forbidden Planet did walk properly , moving its feet, so obviousley no connection . It is very similar though !!
That is the coolest Robot of all time - I want to come over and play with them lol. That original Remco one is the gem of your collection! I got a kick out of the nativity scene I will have to do that myself this year. Enjoyed your video very much!
I have to admit I feel some envy to see all your guys under one roof - you are well protected, B9 UTuber* Thanks so much for the guided tour, I loved it. (I googled B9 because I couldn't remember what year he was created - and found your Happy Home Video!) I feel Better*
Thanks so much. I'm so glad you enjoyed this video. I'm surprised at the number of hits it has gotten. I know what you mean. That robot from LIS is a great of nostalgia. It was such a cool robot and I remember being fascinated by it when I was watching the show as a kid. Thanks again for your comments. Much appreciated!
This is the only Robot I have ever loved! Was this the first space show on TV? I didn't like the family or the Professor at all, as a girl I couldn't stand the female characters - I guess they were too prissy... I watched the show because of this wonderful Robot - my favorite thing he did was whirl around saying, Emergency! Emergency!" Thanks*
Thanks so much for the kind words. Sounds like you have a terrific collection with about 1200 figures. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. Very much appreciated!
those must be worth a fortune. have you ever had those evaluated?
the ones in the package are a strange case, not so much becuase they're extremley rare but becuase what kid in his right mind would keep the toy in the package?
Actually, most are actually pretty common since they are recent except for the 1966 remco original robot from the series. The sealed ones in the package I got at a convention several years ago but if I had been a kid when I got those they would have been opened immediately. LOL Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video post. It is very much appreciated!
I built the Aurora (or was it Revell) plastic model of the B-9. It was so cool back then.
Have you seen the company on the web that makes $20,000 replicas of the Lost in Space robot? Impressive! Not what I'd spend my money on, but still great to see them.
I think POLAR LIGHTS reissued the B-9 robot recently but it must have been so cool to have and build the original AURORA kit. And yes, I've seen the replicas of the robot. I sure wish I could afford one. Thanks so much for watching this video post. Very much appreciated!
When Lost in space began in 1965 I was ten years old. I had a very big crush on Angela Cartwright aka Penny Robinson. She is now 56 years old. It's nice to relive old memories but, it's time to grow up.
Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. Very much appreciated! I had a crush on Angela Cartwright also when I was a kid. I really think we carry those great treasured memories of youth throughout our lives as we make new ones. Thanks so much again!.
me and my dad watch this show on vhs all the time. im 16 and have been watching it ever since i could remember and yet it is always exciting. we still watch it and love the show and my dad said that they just dont make shows like that anymore.
That is so cool that you watch that show with your dad. I used to watch shows with my dad when he was alive and it was very enjoyable and I sure wish I could have the cnace to do that again with him. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. Much appreciated!
Bob May the man who played our friend B9 died this evening. A sad day indeed for all us Lost in space fans! Thank you Mr. May for giving us all so much pleasure over the years!
Wow...that took me back and dropped me on my head. I begged all thru the late 1960s for a Lost In Space Robot, and FINALLY got one that was some where between 12 and 18 inches tall Xmas of 1971...via the Sears Catalog Wish Book. It survived our return from Fort Ord, but it was just another item of mine my little bro picked up when no one was looking and banged it against the floor, smashing it to pieces
Yipes, so sorry to hear about your robot's "demise." Sometimes little brothers can be a real pain! LOL Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. Very much appreciated!
Wow!!,wonderful collection. Just loved this robot as a kid and pretended B9 was my dad...I was a goofy kid. brings back fond memories..thanks for posting!!
Wow! I was born in 1965 but I remember seeing the Remco Robot before. Wasn't he the version of the Robot from an alternate demension that was all rusted and laying on his side in a metal cage in the shows last season? He told the Robot to leave and kept calling him Pretty Boy? Its the one where there was bad Don and a bad Dad demension.
Yes, I think you are right. I'll have to remember to check the next time I see that episode sometime. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. Very much appreciated!
Sounds like you have a great collection! You are right. That 1966 Remco is a nice item. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video. Much appreciated!
I'm 47 and I collect vintage 60's & 70's toys. I have some Lost in Space items including the "Remco". What other toys do you collect? I'm gonna post a video of my collection soon. No one in my area collects that I know of so connecting like this is nice. My wife agreed to give me my space in our bedroom (just off the livingroom so people visiting can see it easy). Are you married and if so has your wife given you grief? Spouses don't always get it. I started collecting toys I had as a kid...
I collect mainly movie and tv memorabilia and have stuff all over the house. I'm not married yet but have been told by some women I know that when I do I will have to do some "remodeling." LOL I suppose know woman would but up with this kind of living so I figure to try and get it out of my system now before I settle down and get married. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video post. Much appreciated! Hope to see your collection on youtube soon, also.
Well, there are women who collect so you may get lucky. As far as getting it out of your system, please don't. Compromise (my collection isn't all over the house but in one room) works great in my marriage (16 years) and you shouldn't have to give up your passion. Let her accept you for who you are right? I hate the way 40 year old virgin (saw it) makes collecting toys look like something wrong. Many of my toys are old and rare and certainly worth collecting and I'm proud to show them off.
Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video post. That's great that you still have your Herman Munster doll and a picture of you with it as a child.
I started by collecting the toys I had as a kid (a sentimental quest). I wouldn't give those toys up any more than I could stop caring about my childhood. You start out in life looking ahead but when you reach a certain age you start looking back. In many cases I have pictures of myself as a child with the toys. Example: I have a Herman Munster puppet (Ideal 1960's) displayed along with a picture of myself holding it as a child one Christmas morning in the 60's. Priceless!
I have always love the robot. This posting was cool. I wish I had one of any size. I have been looking for years and haven't found one yet. If you know of any collecters who are selling let me know. When I was a kid I had a friend who would tease me that he had a giant size one in his closet and would you believe I accepted that. But he was lying! I never saw it but yet I believed he had one. It was one of my dreams to own a robot. I wanted it to yell "Danger Santana!"
Ebay is a great place to start building a collection. You can find some on there. I enjoyed your story and I sure would like to be able to find and afford a life-size working B-9 robot. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video post. Much appreciated!
You are very welcome. Thanks so much for commenting on and watching this video post. Much appreciated! I guess I'm just obsessed with that robot. LOL Thanks again!

We also have a scale model of the Jupiter 2 that lights up when you plug it in-very detailed inside with respect to the living quarters. And you thought you were hard-core. Cheers

I don't think I ever grew up either. I still live in the same home I grew up in and have lots of memories here and, like you said, these whacky objects certainly bring back the memories. At this rate, I'm probably entering my THIRD childhood! LOL Anyway, thanks so much for your comments and thanks for watching this video post! Much appreciated!
Love collections like this and, even though I can't claim to be a Lost in Space expert, have always loved this robot, especially his voice. You need a Fred Barton Productions life-size model to guard your house when you're not home.
