  • Well people the world over have caught ghosts in pictures and on camera, so I wouldn't rule anything out.

  • Even if it is fake its a fantastic story and the photographs are iconic and beautiful. The claim that the last one is real adds a " It was all a hoax...or was it " twist to the tale which I think is quite charming.

  • Oh, no, those photos are not faked. They are real photos of real girls posing with real cardboard cut-outs.

  • apparently, they only faked a few of them, one was real :) i believe in them tho i mean other people might be paying them to say that they faked them. i know that they are real cuz i have photos and have found a cottage (the bricks and details are sooo tiny) (which i found in a bush in my nans garden and a castle) and i have photos of them!!!! :D

  • all you need to do is believe...

  • I have a pet fairy named Taki

  • I have a friend who is a total fairy, so I believe.

  • THERE IS NO WAY TO GET ONE YET YOU CAN SEE THEM WHENEVER YOU WANT(OR I CAN)AND NEVER EVER VIDEO TAPE THEM I MEAN IT BUT YOU MAY TAKE PICTURES BUT VIDEOS KILL THEM I NOW WHERE TO FIND THEM BUT THAT'S 4 ME TO KNOW AND YOU TO FIND OUT

  • @1955illug, please explain by what mechanism are fairies killed if you try to capture their image on a videotape, and how it is different from the mechanism which allows one to capture said images in a photograph. Please also advise on the effects of digital photography versus photochemical photography upon faerie creatures. Your insights in this matter would be an immeasurable contribution to the field of physics.

  • creepy fairies i wanna catch them and blend them

  • @sk8ngonfire How many do you see?> Some see more than others

  • Fairies are real I tells ya, you constantly see them in boy bands and singing on The X Factor.

  • how many fairies are supposed to be in this pic?*5th one

  • @sk8ingonfire seem to be 3 or 4 but what stumbles me is the little face you see ... at the right side of the picture ...

  • this is not real i sean this in an episode thats not real

  • i wish i can see fairys. :(

  • yeah... i do believe in fairies, i do!! i do!! hehe :)

  • This is not proof though is it? It's opinion.

  • But fairies do exist. They just don't look like this.

  • @elizafaigel

What do fairies look like to you?

  • This was actually fake... Sorry.

  • those who think that girls faked it they just sooo wrong nr1 they r little girls havn got any knowlage about fotos and how to fake them 2 its freakin old times when nobody knew about faking fotos. even now not every 1 still knows how to fake foto, ang blody cameras look at them even if u wish to fake u wouldnt.

  • @mamagrazi Sorry, but they admitted they were fake and the 5th photo is simply a double exposure. The original 5th photo is usually shown cropped so you can't see the entire picture, but it shows the whole top half as a white washed out over-exposed background. One girl said they were ALL fake the other said they were all fake but the last one even though you can see the wings of one fairy in two places. A good example of a false memory and wanting something to be true.

  • @mamagrazi Elsie's father, Arthur, was a keen amateur photographer, and had set up his own darkroom. Knowing his daughter's artistic ability, and that she had spent some time working in a photographer's studio, he dismissed the figures as cardboard cutouts. Plus the girls admitted they had faked them. its funny that the author of Sherlock Homes believed them, that is why they only confessed when they were older, they even described how they did it. also there is no movement blur that u would see

  • @mamagrazi...or you can accept that the girls themselves 1) Admitted to faking the photos; and 2) Employed no more ingenuity than that needed to take photographs of cardboard cut-outs.

  • omg pause it at three minutes and seven seconds to see that girl in the pink pick her nose vote up if you think its funny!

  • :)

  • I KNOW THEY EXIST ! I Saw them when I was a child and I KNOW it was not my imagination ! They would come out to play with me But would vanish when adults came around . it was near a tiny waterfall near my house. I was about 6.

  • Oh come on....seriously?

  • Naive minds be blessed.

  • @madeye0 Thank you

  • This photos have been disproven countless times. Grow up people

  • This is just cool stuff. I can't say that I believe in fairies since I've never had the pleasure of seeing one myself, but there's always that possibility and that's whats really intrigueing about the whole subject. There's always the chance that I might actually see one and hopefully I'll have a camera in hand to document it.I have a feeling that they're like vampires though, meaning they have no reflection or ability to be photographed, so it's going to be an uphill battle all the way! Oh well!

  • @da959 I think that when you see a fairy and it's probably real, the fairy f*cked up somehow and was caught somewhere that it wasn't supposed to be. Because if you notice, when the pictures are legit, it's on a security camera, or the parties who found it weren't really looking for it to begin with. If you notice with all of those pictures, they're always found on accident and when people try to look for them, you won't find anything unless you're part of the magickal community.

  • @rosalierox247 NO NO NO! That is not IT Faeries are Astral Creatures and to see them you have to have a Very pure and Innocent mind like a child ( That Gives You Clairvoyance ) I KNOW ! when I was a child I saw them and it was NOT my imagination cuase my memory of them is still Crystal Clear.

  • Maybe the reason why "they" showed up was because they saw injustice with the way the girls portrayed the way they look. lol.

  • I saw a fairy like creature in my house bout 2 weeks ago, frightened the hell out of me. But I KNOW what i saw and if no one believes me then so be it. I don't have to prove anything. And for those of you who disbelieve wake up. Cause there is a lot of things the human eye can't see..... If we could see every living creature living amongst us we would surely go crazy...

  • @1001Ragdoll yes that is so true and i beleve in fairies and i think i saw one out of the corner of my eye last night

  • Y FAKE DA OTHER 4 DEN DUM BITCH!!!!!!

  • I think the faeries probably thought: "So, she's making cut outs of us...well, lets show up for the last one!" And they did!

  • The 5th picture is genuine. These are elemental beings. No way a young girl in a primitive location with limited means could have rigged everything up so quickly.

  • @windstorm1000 ...without scissors and cardboard. Which they had.

  • I rape fairies every sunday morning

  • There used to be fairies, but the orcs ate them all. I blame the governments' immigration policy. Send them back to Mordor!

  • I'll never commit another practical joke again. I was just messing around with their head and then they go and take it seriously and now everyone believes it.

I apologize because I never thought a logical human being would fall for this as fact.

  • why would she want too make fake ones if she had a real photo

  • Well, I think it's lovely :-)

  • No, I don't.

  • GRANNY PHOTOSHOP LOL:

  • This may offend some people, but this is a miniature rant that I made on another site:

Many large influences in the scientific community have come to believe in the existence of such things deemed "mythical." In fact, Tesla and Edison both were trying to develop a device to photograph nature spirits. So please, don't use science as an excuse and pretend you know everything.

  • @tacolabeanz Amen

  • @tacolabeanz Photograph natural spirits? errrrr. How could they invent a technology to capture something that is purely speculation anyway? by that i mean, you cant study spiritual energy (scientifically speaking) therefore you would have no idea how to capture said energy because you could never study how to capture it, because souls and spirits are not tangible, and their isn't a spec of evidence to support either have existed ever. Some of the most brilliant minds make the largest mistakes.

  • but the one they say isnt a fake .. the fairies dont look real on the page :s. I do believe in fairies though :)

  • I was about to point out that fairies are not considered to be of this 3-D realm by occultist and that prolly, they are nature spirits or devas not material entities, when the lady came forth with that extra photo, now, i don't know for a fact if that last pic is legit or a brilliant hoax, but it sure does gives a far more accurate representation of what those mystical creatures could actually be, (spititual beings with not much density to their bodies), than the pics w/ the cut-out dolls.

  • Alright where's the camera's, I'm being trolled here. I know it.

  • wow

  • I did a speach on this topic and this really helped ! thx

though i dont entirely beleive in it KEEP ON BELIEVING if u do

  • They didn't even spell it right.... It's faerie not fairy. There are 2 kinds, maggots or worms, and those tiny folk that fly around your backyard.

  • It's not so bad if people sometime have their heads on the clouds in this world ^_^

  • On the supposed "real photo", to the right further in the background among the grass there is a perfect looking head of a fairy. It is looking down with it's eyes, has short black hair, it looks like if it was a real photo of a 3 dimensional girl's head no transparent. The other in front with the long hair still looks flat and like a drawing to me. I wish that the Grome was real he looks cool.

  • The great sikh guru of recent times admitted that fairies /folks are real. One needs to develop spiritually before they can be seen!.........Maharaj Sawan Singh.

  • The great sikh guru of recent times admitted that fairies /folks are real. One needs to develop spiritually before they can be seen!

  • @MrBhaerava Hallelelujuah!! yes, you need to be in right spiritual frame to see them.. Cynical, mean people have very little chance of seeing aetheric beings.

  • It´s leafs leaves

  • do you have to believe to see them LOL JK JK HI HOP IN XD

  • If you compared the "cutout" photos and the supposed real one, the fakes depicted the fairies as solid and flat images, but loking at the genuine photo, you can see that they are transparent. I'm not an expert, but i don't think they could do that with cutouts and i don't believe they had good-old photoshop back then. lol. Idk if the photo is real, but i do believe in mythical creatures such as fairies. :)

  • those photos were really cool although they were fake...

  • I learning more about this. i personaly think the girls were very clever seeing how long they got away with. Also the whole hoax's wasn't there fault

  • aww the girls were cute ten trillion years ago

  • I think even if the girls claim knowledge of the camera back then, some adult would have influenced them to create the hoax. And since they were kids, people would have wanted to easily believe them. As a photo editing expert that I am now, I immediately saw that the faries are cutouts. There were no depth or ghostlike effects on the mini fairies. And the girls were obviously posing for someone. They are not alone in their photshoot of fairies.

  • Oh, yes fairies existed in the past when man lived closer and in more harmony with nature. They also can be found around very young children who see them all the time. They play jokes on adults such as borrowing a shoe and replacing it later but they are discreet ie they can make one forget. Read your Shakespeare.

  • Whether the photograph is real or not, the photos are a true work of art no matter the circumstances in which they were created.

  • i find it funny how humans (who live in this one planet of the whol UNIVERSE) believe they are the only living things. COmical thought. Pure comedy. Fairies are angels of nature, much like guardian angels are our own. If you are a Christian, how can you believe in a talkin, burning bush yte not believe in this? How can you believe in someone parting the sea and yet push this aside? The truth is, we are not the only existing race in this universe. Don't be selfish and barbaric.

  • Fairies have been the subject of mythical belief since their existence. The fact of the matter is all stories transpire from elements of truth, over time our whispers have simply exaggerated the matter. Its not logical to believe in fairies you say? who cares? if people want to be believe let them, there is no proof that they don't exist . i love the idea of magical creatures, if i happen to stumble across a fairy or goblin some day ima stand proud and join the believers in saying screw logic!

  • @DuckingBonkers From what element of truth did the story of the Transformers come? If you happen to stumble across Optimus Prime some day, I'mma stand proud when he steps on you and says, "Autobots! Roll out!"

Some things are just pure fantasy, straight from someone's imagination. Sure, sometimes stuff is inspired. There's a whole backstory for zombies, doesn't make them real.

Also, learn the proper use for the word logic.

  • @DuckingBonkers You cannot prove something does not exist if you cannot see it anymore than I can prove something does exist even though it is "invisible". ;) The Universe is full of mysteries & miracles...

  • real ! not real ! who cares ? in this nasty world i would much prefere to belive in fairies than the very real murderers ,,sickos,,peodos,,rapeists ,, ...........real or not they are something to think about other than nasty things like ..DISAGREEABLE ...PEOPLE .......

  • why do you call yourself ghost circl when you are so obviously a sceptic of all things magic and supernatural? Get a more boring name! Lol

  • It's called a double exposure.

  • I am not five years old, therefor I do not believe in fairies.

  • Bloody good sketches and very well cut out. I just think these girls would have struggled to do the art work alone.

  • If You're trying to say fairies aren't real, you're nuts! Seeing isn't ALWAYS believing you know?!

  • @Luvmefairies Well i'm not saying they're not real... sorry if you believe in them yourself but i don't :L it's up to you if you do or not :L but that's obviously been faked mate...

  • YAHH coz that looks completely real? :L:L

  • @Hippochick96 shut it fairies r real and i know they r

  • These are fake pictures!!!

You must be trying to fake out

    stupid people on here

    or u actually are crazy

    eneough to believe in yourself!!

  • I remember that the original glass negatives were found, and showed them as they were originaly photographed. The subsequent glass copies made after the "touching up" of the faries is dramatic, and is testment to the skills of the victorian artisan who enhanced them, tranferring his skills from traditional painting on canvas to photography.

Yes they have been proven to be fakes using modern technology, but the real fun, enjoyment and charm,is suspending belief and thinking what if???

  • I cannot believe people believe in this 'Fairy story'still, the girls in the photos owned up to the photos being fake years ago.

Those who still believe the story based on the photos must have bad eyesight because the obvious lack of depth of the Fairies compared to the girls and everything else around them makes it plain that they were flat.

We must go back to the adult girls confession of fakery though, o easily led people.

  • I don't believe it, it's very improbable. It sure is pretty though, that last 'real' photo. :) Why can't we just enjoy that kind of fiction without claiming it to be a part of our physical reality?

  • so sad... that SOME people DO have their head in the clouds. Fairies exist. Fact. There is even a branch of mythical study called Faericraft, and there are many books written on the subject.

  • @iciclecrazy Books written about a subject do not make it fact. It is you who make the claim that fairies are real beings so therefore it is up to you to provide the proof. This fifth photo in this video is clearly a double exposure, so what else have you got?

  • The fairies were pictures cut out of a magazine. What I can't understand is how come someone with a copy of the same magazine failed to recognise them

  • This doesn't prove a thing.

the reality behind the myth of fairies are people seeing fireflies..

I'm saddened and a bit shocked that there are still so many people with their heads in the clouds and scream we know nothing about nature and reality. We don't know everything true, but we know a lot more since fairies first were invented. want to believe in fairies, fine! But don´t expect me to take you as a sane, well read or reasonable person.

  • @StefanLeenaars Well, that's your opinion with of course no proof as it's just another theory, right...

Well I have seen them, and I know others who have too. The reason people believe is that they have researched and INVESTIGATED the phenomenom. So, get out and do some research.

  • @ghostcircle Gravity is a theory, too, child.

  • @ghostcircle i love fairies

  • @ghostcircle lol

  • @ghostcircle This is proof of nothing, just that a liar will lie to his or her family as well as to the world. I do believe in the possibility of fairies though, it's just too bad charlatans ruin peoples serious interest. A couple of excellent movis have resulted from their fraud though, "Photographing Fairies" and "FairyTales", the first mentioned is absolutely worth cdhecking out.

  • @StefanLeenaars I thought so too... until I read Faericraft. I had no idea that this was actually a study, and that there were people out there actually contacting fairies.

  • @StefanLeenaars you are just a mean dream crusher u seriously just crushed the dreams of millions of little girls, fairies may not be real but it is fun to think they are and there is no proof there isnt so u ca keep ur opinion to urself cause i dont get the point of looking up this video and just leaveing seriously crappy coment y did u waste ur time?

  • @StefanLeenaars I believe all these images are faked, but I wouldn't claim to know. Whether or not fairies exist or someone who would profess not to have seen them is logically in a position to judge, I think it's quite patronising to dismiss all alleged fairy myths, sightings, etc. as resulting from fireflies (or will-o'-the-wisp, for that matter). There must be many people in the world who could tell the difference between a glowing insect (or incandescent gas) and a tiny winged humanoid.

  • @StefanLeenaars Im saddened and shocked that there are still people like you in the world with their head in their ass,you dont believe thats fine but dont insult others intelligence by stating that fairies infact do not exist when intelligent well educated people have claimed to see fairies.Frances Griffith claimed the 5th picture was real and carried it to the grave with her,do some research, you are bias and skeptical to the max! This is one of many many accounts of fairies, many other images.

  • @DaAlphaOmega If you listen to what she says in the video she claims it's real because you can "See through them". Obviously she has no idea of what a double exposure is as you can see one fairy wing is clearly duplicated in the photo. This would have more credibility if the other girl Elsie claimed this was real, but she didn't. Elsie said they were all fake.

  • @Genesimmons8 I didnt hear the same thing you did then ,all i heard is 4 were fake but the 5th was real, and she claimed it was real right up until she died.

  • @StefanLeenaars While fairies might not be real, you should get your facts straight before you start trying to act superior. The "myth" of fairies did not start with people seeing fireflies. In fact, it's much more complicated than that. Historically, fairies were thought of as malevolent spirits, and they took many forms. Literature developed them into what we know them to be today. Some people could have seen fireflies and thought that they were fairies, but fairy belief isn't that simple.

  • @StefanLeenaars I have seen a fairy & I know of other sane, reasonable people who have also seen fairies. It appeared to me as a golden yellow ball of light, the size of a large marble. It moved very quickly across cobblestones & actually moved AROUND me, constantly glowing & lit. Definitely was not a firefly. Check out the folks in Ireland. They see all kinds of Elementals. Peace!

  • @maeveangel REALLY??!!!!

  • @StefanLeenaars sorry ,I am saddened because anyone who thinks just what we see or should say you see is all there is to reality is nieve and ignorent,so much more,as an empath my friend, believe me,there is much more than meets the eye.peace and love

  • @StefanLeenaars let us use our imaginations and beliefs in life if we want to... I mean, anymore in life all people care about is what is real and what isn't... We just want to be happy, which is very hard to do in this depressing REALISTIC world anymore... Who gives a crap, this makes us happy and if we believe it, SO what... Who are you to insult us... Btw... Why are you even on this page then GO AWAY...

  • @cloudwolfsa Thank you!

  • @tacolabeanz Also not to mention a bug called the Wooly Aphid could be a Fairy :D I mean they look just like them... It's gay as science tht renames all of our memories from ancestors... Like they renamed the Loch ness Monster the peliosaur they prolly did the same for faries.... The Wooly aphid also has alot of the same characteristics as the fairy does.... and btw No prob XD

  • @StefanLeenaars u see us humans must not be the only intelegent cretures so its either aliens on fairys or werewlfs or vampires (evil spirts exist befor man kind) for more info plz send me a message

  • @StefanLeenaars why its so hard to believe in unbelievable and to not believe in believable? Bible its also fiction but nobody dears to challenge it. i believe in one thing there is no fire without a smoke. Why not to believe? Humans is thick creature afraid to look outside the box, because the MOST not believe in it. we afraid of unknown undiscovered fact and if there is no written explanation we are so quick to put the label on "fake" there is other worlds around us and there always be.

  • @mamagrazi nobody dares challenger it?! lmao!

What rock are you living under ya hillbilly.

People are more willing to believe in a fantasy than a scientific explanation, that's the brainwashing of religion to blame. This is just a case of the first experiments with double exposure. The girls were smart. Took a photo of an exact spot, rewound the film, took another picture of the exact same spot only this time they placed in their highly detailed fairy drawings.

    Case closed.

  • Not to be pedantic but it was 1917, not 1920

  • Let's be correct, 1917 to 1920 when the last photos were taken and the story carried on into the 1920's. Don't always believe Wikipedia.

  • @ghostcircle

Yes, I realised my mistake in retrospect... it wasn't wikipedia to blame, just me being too quick to comment.... I already heard the rest of the interview when he quoted that the other photos were from 1920. My mistake*

  • and thankyou for uploading by the way;

  • i do believe

  • Real or not,The pictures are good photography right there. (X

  • Ummmm except that it was confirmed they used paper cutouts. What complete and utter nonsense. I find it sad that people would believe that anything else is the truth.

  • @MrButterscotch1 it doesn't mean they never saw faries, they always said they did. One photo proves it.

  • @ghostcircle One photo also proves the admission of fakery from the one of the girls featured, that and the lack of depth in the Fairies compared to everything else in the photos, why do the Fairies look like flat cut outs? because they are.

A two day course in Photography would show you how and why. Nay, a two hour course.

  • @ghostcircle Your completely right! Fairies are real! I agree! And... Seeing isnt always believing! :D

  • @ghostcircle Even if the last photo is also a hoax, that still doesn't prove that they didn't see fairies. Millions of people have. Myself included.

  • I saw this photo on Mystery Hunters with Doubting Dave !

  • fake!!! all of them!!!! anyone with a cheap camera can imitate this pics, the other girls already admit it, and if u believe fairies exist I would like the name and number of your weed supplier!!! you guys smoke that bomb!!!

  • @MrButterscotch1

Being a cynic is always so much easier, once we lost touch with nature we lost touch with the spirit and energy of the earth this is what these beings represent which is why they are also known as Elementals.

Still, who needs to be in tune with the earth when you can sit on your arse and have everything done for you these days including someone else to use their imagination for you.

  • @littlegypsy71

I agree - someone else using their imagination. Just like the two little girls did at the time to fake this fairy nonsense. When people stop believing in science they start believing in anything else - including things that have have no evidence to support them and are based in fiction.

  • @MrButterscotch1

Mmmm...Me thinks you have a backward way of viewing this, you see science came later.. unless of course you know of any prehistoric scientists. Myths and ledgends were a way to express things sometimes morally but more over they would have had basis in some truth, however as i have already explained we WERE more in touch with our understanding of nature which now of course the destruction of is largely down to the advancement of "Science".

  • @littlegypsy71 There are so many flaws in your argument I'm not sure where to even begin. However, here's something I will pick up on: "we WERE more in touch with our understanding of nature". This is a complete straw man, a logical fallacy. Science has moved our understanding of nature beyond anything humanity has previously known. I don't even think you know what you mean when you say "in touch with our understanding" - that's a complete non sequitur.

  • @MrButterscotch1

I've never been to china but i guess the pictures and info about it must be fake and the chinese must just be cardboard cut-outs.

I'm not arguing with you there's no point your ignorance and narrow mindedness is beyond help. I guess youre just not in tune enough to care about your herritage.

Why not go and waste some time prooving atoms exist instead of trying to proove that faries dont.

  • @MrButterscotch1 so you dont think its possible for littlegypsy to be right? afterall, science isnt disproving faeires existense just like it cant disprove the existence of ghosts/spririts. im not saying i think faeries exist but im not saying they dont either and if you truly are scientifically minded then that requires your mind to be open and not look only for ideas that only support your arguments, afterall, the only way to get the truth is to be open minded.

  • @dirtyjew1974 You´ve got science the wrong way round. Science can´t disprove anything. like you can´t disprove flying pink elephants. The burden of proof lies with the person making the claim for existence. We can say something about the probability of in this case fairies. and the probability of fairies is next to nothing since there is no actual evidence. now as a scientist you are right you should always leave room for the possibility. but that doesn´t mean the odds are 50-50

  • @MrButterscotch1

Even if this is fake tell me why you cynics are always so bitter about it? lol! Is it hurting you? Someone claiming to see a fairy isnt really going to cause a war is it? but the science behind making a bomb will.

  • Those who want to believe will believe and they will catch a straw no matter what. It is incredible how people judge against all plausibility just to keep up their believe. I wonder what would have happened if she had declared all photos as fake. Probably the believers would have said something like "Oh, she just reacted to the pressure exerted by the media" or something like that. Oh yeah, what a poof! A woman who claims all the other photos as fake claims one to be the real thing. Convincing!

  • I am currently in search of fairies and any creatures that belong to the elements. This is a true story. Therefore, It is believed that the fifth picture was a gift. One of presense. Fairies are delicate and do not wish a life outside their universe. These irish creatures must be handled carefully.

  • that's just so cool. I why don't people try to take pics now a days of faeries?

  • Didn't she come out with saying she lied about the faeires? I read that somewhere.

I still think faeries could exist though. She just wanted damn attention and killed it for the rest of us.

  • @cavemanfarts The story was that the first four were faked, the fifth was real. They used to see them but could not capture them and got frustrated, in the end they got one. They both saw fairies. They were not the only ones to see them in Cottingley...

  • @ghostcircle Where is the fifth picture?

  • @cavemanfarts she did the faries were cut outs from a kids book i so wanted to think they were real but in the movie fairytale a true story their very real flying around the girls rooms the girl even touching the fairy queens hand

  • @cavemanfarts Watch the video, it's in there at the end, and it's all over the internet.

  • @ghostcircle Hmmm... It could definitely be real. Looks pretty convincing to say the least.

  • @caveman She was forced to do so,I think, because people startedto crucifythem for saying that there is something people always tend to deny the possibility of existence of other life forms.I believe in faeries and other faery-like beings.

  • @cavemanfarts - lol, nice name, dude. :P x)

  • they are not the best witnesses seeing as they faked all the other photos lol. but, i think most intelligent people know they are real.

  • @SatanRulezGod I thinks the music is Hydan or Schubert. Haydan more likely, definitely not Mozart.

  • it's really amazing how stupid people can be. When they want to buy into something they will.

  • @TrinketStarFire Yes indeed, Fairies have to be real with so much evidence of them thru history and this witness statement video shows they can't be wrong.

  • @ghostcircle What evidence are you talking about...stories? What about the unicorn, trolls and goblin stories why don't you believe in that as well? The version of the fairie in the photographs is dervived from Victorian artists of that time. Before this time period people were afraid of fairies because they were said to steal babies. Anyway, why should I believe this woman's statement when she is a known liar anyway? She lied about the photo's for years therefore she is not a credible witness.

  • @Genesimmons8 Ah yes, the closed minded skeptic debunker is back for a bit of fairy bashing. Why don't you go find James Randi and Richard Dawkins closed minded blogs....they have a lot in common with your outlook.

  • @ghostcircle Do you mean that they are living in reality, rather than fairy fantasy land ? If so, indeed I live in the same world as them.

  • Whether they are real or not doesn't matter to me. It's a fascinating time in history where many people back then still believed in folklore and fairies yet the world was 'growing up'. The world was on the cusp between belief and science, and the fact that these photos were even considered real by some is enough to captivate me.

  • fairies is not what it seems because humans are so predictable they have these wild imaginations that fairies is small and have wings that gives you pixie dusts and you can fly away with them, NO!!! its jut mockery... humans should learn...

  • @death18note

    ...

Technically the people who think that are right - seeing as Fairy is a blanket term for various sorts of spiritual and fantasy driven beings.. What do you mean 'humans should learn' that makes you sound like you think you're a fairy or something lol.

i am not saying i am a fairy or whatever these are, i am just saying, "US" humans are way to predictable with what we see, we see something supernatural and BAM! we think we saw a fary, a vampire, a freakin' warewolves, i am just saying that we should learn to keep things for ourselves until we have an official proof!!

  • does the one fairy look like shes holding a mushroom? lol... i cant stress enough the fact that anything is possible. most folklore has hints of truth in them. we are still eons away from finding out the true nature of reality itself. and after experiencing many inward journeys of the psychedelic nature, i have no doubt in my mind the most bizzarre, strange, unimaginable things we could ever imagine could really be real, we live in a world of mystery. and its sad to see that so many cant see that

  • @murza25

Thank you! Someone with an open mind at last!

  • @noirkitten I've got news for you, people that are commenting on this video really do believe in fairies and in the Cottingley photograph. I'm also betting they also believe in ufo's, bigfoot, and Nessie. Most of the posts here are from people that think the 5th photo is real so it goes well beyond enjoying fairy-folk stories. I hope Santa brings you more philiosophy, biology and history books this year.

  • @noirkitten " I'm quite fond of a particular Green Fairy who visits me each Friday night. " I see you have romanticised the idea of the fairy and changed it to suit your vision of what they are probably based on Disney movies. According to fairy lore, they are to be feared because they stole babies caused trouble and disliked humans. Why is yours different from centuries and centuries of fairy stories? It is because you are influenced by media that told you what a fairy should be.

  • @noirkitten Why don't you get your "joy and wonder" from the world as it really is. Yes, humans will always dream, but when that dream turns into fact is where Dark age thinking becomes a reality. It's not a big leap to go from fairy belief to religious belief. Try taking a look at the world as close to reality as you can get and you will find it's much more interesting.

  • i saw a leprechaun get bite by a racoon

  • yes I do and always will.

  • But a sitting girl at 7:05 the right side looks really a real girl....!!!!

  • This is hilarious. Some people so desperately want to believe in this garbage. Elsie Wright said the 5th photo is FAKE just like the other four. Case closed. Not to mention that Brian Coe of Kodak proved the fifth photo was a double exposure (you can even see a duplication of the two of the cut-outs) by examining the negatives. Both Elsie and Frances claimed to have taken the 5th photo....because they both did! Hence the double exposure.

  • Whatever!! These points have been discounted already.

  • @ghostcircle

Whatever, indeed.....this hoax was exposed decades ago. Anyone can say "these points have been discounted." Prove it.

  • @dragonsidheblader1 Your points are irreelevant as you argument. Go find some film to debunk...

  • @ghostcircle

Saying they are not is not going to make the photos real. Sorry!

  • @dragonsidheblader1 The video is there for balanced people to make up their own minds.

  • @dragonsidheblader1 -- Do your research, he mentioned only four photos which were faked. ---

He concluded that they were "double exposures" albeit faked on four of them, whereas they were in fact "single exposures". So much for his opinion and your research.

  • @ghostcircle

WRONG! Elsie herself said the 5th photo was fake just like the other ones. Brian Coe of Kodak NEVER said that that all 5 photos were double exposures; he said only the 5th one was...which he proved by examining the negative. Quit making up garbage.
