  • EXCELLENT VIDEO. This is very thorough detail strip of a Glock. I have a Glock 17 and it is almost identical disassemble. Used this video to install a 3.5lb trigger pull instead of 5lb.

  • nice video, is this the same method for all the glocks ?

  • @jonathanrodney21 same type of method for p99 i know that, but havent delt with many glocks, good luck finding out

  • Many thanks!

  • Best video award. Nice

  • Hey.. great video man. Despite the lack of video quality, the instructional factor was outstanding. Very thorough. That's one of the things I love about Glocks, they are so easy to field strip compared to the other pistols on the market. I'm sure it would be more difficult to learn how to completely field strip others such as H&K, Sigs, Colts, etc. Glocks simple design, along with their undeniable reputation is why they are one of the best in my opinion.

  • Just curious, but my trigger pin is a lil hard to remove, i have a 26 3rd gen. i see here you use a little force to remove it? is this the best thing to do? thanks

  • GREAT Video. Good job with the detail and explanation. Much appreciated.

  • Very good video, I was able to reassemble it without a problem. It seems so simple now that I've done it.

    Thanks

  • You didn't remove the trigger from the trigger bar. Is the trigger pin molded into the plastic? If you remove the trigger does the pin opening need to be slightly drilled from one side or does the pin go in from one direction only? PS. Nice vid. I'm saving it.

  • good to see you didnt stick your finger in the ejection port while safety checking like so many idiots do. im just waiting for a video where someone accidently bumps the slide release and severely fucks up their pinky. good vid!

  • Nice vid. Very simple and informative.

  • after completely disassembling my airsoft glock i wondered what a real one looks like inside, actually not very different. Question tho, is the extractor the part that ejects the bullet casings? I'm trying to imagine in my head how this works.

  • The reassembly was a little fast for me to follow-hahaha

    Good job.

I just need to install a Sidelock trigger in mine and looking for a video

  • nicely done. great video!

  • i would never be able to reassemble it

  • is that a soft gun?

  • I like how you get to the point instead of talking for most of the video.

  • good job

  • VERY GOOD JOB ON EXPLAINING THE DISASSEMBLY.

    THANKS OLSEN2330

  • Sorry 'curious'

  • great video! thanks man! most detailed video i've found for a glock take down.

  • great video! thanks man!

  • outstanding!

  • Great video, thank you!

  • Thanks for an excellent instruction video on a Glock detail strip.

  • 39 people failed to pay attention

  • All you HATER'S you don't like this clip fuck off!!!!!

  • Life saver thank you.

  • @chuckychucky3035 Why lifesaver? (just curios)

  • @bonesearcher because the average untrained person often doesn't memorize the proper assembly/disassembly process of most complex guns (Complex=anything above a revolver, or a double-barreled shotgun)

These guns come with manuals, but its also embarrasingly often how many people lose their manuals.

An incorrectly assembled gun can cause an accident, either to yourself, or a bystander. And for the record, they MUST be dismantled for maintenance or else the gun deteriorates over time.

  • Excellent vid!, thank you.

    Not one screw either.

  • i bet you can do an awsome kermit the frog impression !

  • the glock is make with plastic ABS really ?

  • @0puest0 no its made with a polymer look it up and it will give you the exact name

  • You know your business! Using your instructions, I disassembled the firing pin assembly, cleaned it up, and reinstalled it. Fired 200 rounds today with 100 percent ignition. Problem solved. Many thanks.

  • thanks for the help now i can install my 3 1/2 trigger. great vid!!

  • @CheytacOps

If you are talking about your self, then yes.

  • Great video! You were going fast, but guess what. I hit the pause. Favorite!

  • Dude!!! Slow down a bit. I am still trying to remove the magazine and lock the slide back.

  • Oh, and the pins should be pushed out left-to-right (never right-to-left!)

    That's why you need a hammer, I guess? ...

Normally they take no force to be removed.

And 1 part you forget : the magazine catch button.

    Goes out easily as well.

  • Looks like you have your striker spring reversed... :o)

The side with the extra windings should be over the cups

Not that it matters much though

  • Just to let you guys know, if you pause the vid and hold down the left arrow key for a few secinds, you can play snake on Youtube. If you don't believe me try it out.

  • dang, what a great VIDEO. As previously requested, another video in slow motion putting your weapon back together.

  • Uhm didn't work on my glock 17, how hard can it be?

  • Damn, have you ever killed a nigga?

  • Never mind, I finally got the trigger reset thing happening.

  • Great video, many thanks. When I reassembled my Glock 19, I could not perform the trigger reset as described in this video. Am I doing something wrong or is this not a feature of the 19?

  • Awesome video- thanks for all the information- Though I probably won't be trying to detail strip my model 19s any time soon, it's good to know how the Glocks are taken apart and put back together just in case a trigger spring needs to be replaced. Thanks

  • Everything is in working order, except the safety. :[

  • great job , Thanks

  • excelente video demostrativo de como desarmar una pistola glock

  • knock your pins out from left to right

  • good job !

  • thanks for the vid.. i had just bought my glock and was attempting to remove the slide.. i was pulling it back way way to far.

  • your are a dumb ass

  • which part do you leave out to make it fullyAUTO?

  • @floresrocky the intelligence.

  • @floresrocky why would you want to do that? contrary to the movies, firing a sidearm on full auto (and even most assault rifles and sub-machineguns) not only empties your entire clip in 2.3 seconds, it also completely nulifies your acuraccy due to the recoil.

Whatever you are firing at, will most likely not be hit, and worst, chances of hitting inocent bystanders increases tenfold.

    Real Life =/= movies.

Movie=hero fires 150 rounds in full auto and hits all targets

    RL= Bystanders die

  • Great Video

  • finally we see this guys face lol he looks like farva from supertroopers. awesome

  • Really appreciate the video.

  • Just kidding!

DVD Tracker? I'm gonna have to look that up. Thanks again!

  • Thanks HANK. Best tutorial on the net. Much appreciated.

How bout a tutorial so I can get all this shit back together?

  • play the video in reverse. lol.

  • im pretty sure you just do what you did backwards.....

  • Thank you for your professional advice, which I intend to follow precisely.

  • wanted to thank you as I have refered to your video several times durring my trigger adjustment of my Glock 20

  • I'm enduring light strikes, a couple with every box of ammunition. I suspect a replacement firing-pin spring will take care of the problem. Am I on the right track? Also, do you think I should attempt to find a more powerful spring than the normal Glock spring? If so, do you have any suggestions for sources?

  • @RoscoesRiffs,

Light strikes could mean that your ammo is bad. If you're sure the ammo is OK, your problem might be a clogged firing pin channel. Too many people are in the habit of putting a drop of oil down into the firing pin channel. Debris / dust will collect down there. So have a qualified armorer dismantle your firing pin assembly & clean it out. There should be no reason your spring is bad unless it is a very old gun.

  • @RoscoesRiffs, As far as an upgraded spring, ask yourself: Who do you think is more qualified to make a gun component... Glock or some after-market little company that promises some slick hop up? A "more powerful" spring can cause unwanted side effects, such as damage to the frame, malfunctions, etc.

"Normal" Glock parts are the closest thing to perfection that you will find out there.

  • if you want a full auto glock conversin, check out my video , it wil lmake any glock full auto.

  • If it works, anybody who buys it better get that $200 permit from BATF. That's one Federal agency you DON'T want trouble with. Full-auto Glock = fun + not much accuracy + better have lots of money for ammo and to pay the Federal fines that will accompany your prison sentence.

  • A safer procedure to release the slide from the frame is to Rack the slide, set the take-down lever, press the trigger while the slide is racked and release the slide forward while trigger is pressed..

  • I C

  • "Now do you remember how to put it all back together?"

    rofl

Great video, thank you for showing us!

  • is it plastic ?

  • @BAKARDAN synthetic grip. but its can be beat to hell and still shoot

  • no it is chewing gum.....

    frame = polymere

    slide = metal

  • Cool video! Thanx!

  • Thank you very much! Planned to get a 3.5 connector and this will help very much!

  • May i ask...why would anyone want to completely take their glock apart. is it because to clean it better or just to know in the event you need to replace a part. also, what does anyone think of the 9mm compensated. just bought one and wonder if i made right dec.

  • A lot of it is people wanting to upgrade parts, like a connector. I don't know anything about a compensated 9mm.

  • kindly upload the tourus pt24/7 pro 9mm detail feild strip plz plz

  • maybe I am a bit slow, could you show us how to put the pieces back together?

  • topglock kom ..... click interactive glock flash: chek dis out!

  • 5/5

  • Ruger p94 45 is wayyy more easier...

  • Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the pins were supposed to be droven out from left to right. obviously you can hammer them out the other way because you did, but is it alright to do that?

  • Great vid. I really like the 2nd gen G17. great piece dude.

  • great vid... helped me a lot!!!

  • thanks you help me alot

  • Great video.

  • this is made of ceramic no?

  • I didn't understand why keep press the trigger while pull the slide.... Can that broke some mechanism?

  • I believe he thinks there is a mag in the glock.

No, no mechanism can be damage.

  • No, that is how most function checks on a large majority of firearms operate. Charge the weapon. Pull the trigger, keeping it depressed. Charge the weapon again. Let off the trigger and listen and feel for the hammer to catch with the disconnect.

  • lol what if you cant put it back together.. i would take mine to a gun store and mabey they could help me atleast

  • A very helpful video. All I need to do it replace to firing pin spring and this video made it very easy. Thank you for posting.

  • My dad had a glock just like this but then he bought a new glock and he took off everything and i use it as a "toy" now

  • Some criticism of this video:

    1. Don't use a hammer to tap out the pins. You can damage internal parts, specifically your slide stop lever, which should be wiggled while pushing the pins out. If you can't push them with a Glock tool, then something is wrong.

    2. The process of reassembly should not be glanced over. It is more difficult... & not just a matter of assembly in reverse.

I would urge you NOT to disassemble a Glock unless coached by someone who KNOWS how to get it back together.

  • Excellent work! I have Glock 30, which occasionally fails to fire when I pull the trigger and the hammer drops, maybe once out of every 30 to 40 shots. The primer on the failed round bears a shallow firing-pin impression. Which component do you think I should replace to resolve this problem?

  • 1/35 shots is a serious rate of malfunction. If you get a light primer strike that often, then it is possible you have bad or hard-primer ammo. Try different ammo first.

If you still get light primer strike & fail-to-fire, then have a certified armorer inspect 1. Your firing pin assembly. A weak firing pin spring is a possiblility.

    2. Clear your firing pin channel of debris and lube. You should never drop oil /grease onto the firing pin or into the assembly.

  • You can do a simple test to ensure your firing pin moves freely in its channel. First, remove the barrel & recoil spring from the slide.

Now shake the slide to & fro next to your ear. You should hear a slight click/clack as the pin rocks back & forth.

Then push in & hold your firing pin safety. (That's the silver cylinder visible from underneath). Now shake your slide back & forth again.

You should hear a more distinct click / clack with a ringing reverberation.

  • thats just to ez

  • how do you disassemble the spring rod, i'd like replace mine with stainless rod

  • The stainless rods come complete as one assembly, but before you swap it out, ask yourself this:

Who do you think does more shooting, testing, research & development? Glock, or companies that make aftermarket "hop-ups" for Glocks?

Except maybe sights, it makes no sense to replace any part on a Glock with a part manufactured by someone else.

  • If you've fired 5,000 rounds through your Glock, then you might want to replace the recoil spring...(2,000-3,000 of 40 cal.). When you do swap it out, I would urge you to buy a standard polymer recoil spring assembly from Glock.

  • I get the distinct feeling that anyone who breaks into Petes house is gonna be really really sorry.

  • Comment removed

  • Dude, ur a beast!

  • nice vid

  • I think the only parts you forgot to take off were the sights!!! You should make this video again with better lighting and a better angle but its still great.

  • This is just what I was looking for since I want to upgrade a couple of things on my Glock 27. Great video thank you!!!

  • Great video, thanks!

  • When i pulled out the smaller pin near the trigger a spring was moved and now the slide catch is loose. Anyone know what i did? Can you help me fix it?

  • i believe your refering to the slide stop lever.the small spring on the lever has to go under the smaller pin, that's what keeps it from moving around..

  • thanks bro

  • thanks man best dissambly vid for glock

  • no mames pinche gringo loko de que te sirve desarmarla toda

  • Excellent. 5 stars. I have been a police officer for 12 years and have stripped my G31C many times. Best Glock strip down vid I've seen so far. Informative even for me, thanks.

  • agfagfa

  • why would dry fire that gun man so many times i would never take my glock apart like that unless like the guy below me said if there is something wrong with it respect the glock man

  • why would you ever do this unless something was wrong with the gun i have no idea. I stick to field strip and cleaning unless something goes wrong, and since this is not and XD or SW or barreta, it rarely will happen if EVER

  • mmmm maybe it would be usefull to dismantle a enemy glock?

  • Some people carry a gun for a living, not for a hobby. After firing thousands of rounds through a Glock, a total disassembly at least once a year is a good idea. I replace a few springs every year, just as a matter of course. Sure, it's probably not vital, but waiting for something to "go wrong" is not an option.

  • you should work over a rubber mat or a peice of carpet

  • Nice vid. I had heard that Glock recommends that the pins removed from left to right and re inserted right to left. Any truth to this?

  • tmax5150 .. that is true, dont know why he did it backward in a tutorial video

  • Great vid might attempt that tonight

    Thanks

  • I'm so glad I watched the whole video before attempting to follow along XD

  • great video, thanks. I'll stick to the field strip though.

  • excellent video and in complete detail. great video and audio

  • I'm sorry but that last comment made me cry laughing. Too funny!

  • CAN you PLZ make a part 2 about how to put it back together SLOWLY. GREAT info video

  • yah the best glock disassembly video ever on youtube. but i got trouble on dismantling my glock 17c in removing the trigger pin because its kinda hard to remove. im afraid that it can shatter my frame using a harder knock down pressure.

  • toogawn, just download from google the youtube downloader setup and you can already able to download videos from youtube. :)

  • Thanks bbxcobra. Will do.

  • every thing is upsidedown! im freaking out!!!!

  • Still the best glock detail strip video on youtube. Well done and thanx for shooting this.

  • great video

  • excellent video!

  • Thank you very much for the video!

  • Exellant video man : )

  • Espectacular!! muchas gracias!!

  • Great video!

  • in glock we trust

  • xDDD

  • ur gay

  • why are you calling him gay? dont hate-mail bro

  • You incorrectly removed the pins in this video. All Glock pistol's pins are removed from left to right & they are replaced from right to left. Also, you should always remove the locking block pin first.

  • do u have a glock silencer?

  • damn that was a lot

  • after he finishes..................now how do i put dis bac together

  • Great video. My Glock is for home protection...I only put 150 rounds through every six months. Following use, I field strip, clean, and oil. I also field strip and oil it about every other month (even if I haven't fired it). How long (in time or rounds fired) should a glock owner has his weapon disassembled for inspection?

  • use your good judgement, but after everytime you shoot it or once a month if you haven't (mostly oiling)

  • WTF are you stripping your gun if its been shot ONLY 150 times? Ya only need to disassembled after continuous use or after the shit get dropped in like some mud. At 150 rounds NO NEED for cleaning UNTIL about a 1k rounds!

  • Old habits die hard...I'm a former solider who was taught to clean after every firing. As a matter of fact, we had to clean our weapons for THREE days after we fired them. Probably over-kill, but I think it's better to be safe than sorry.

  • he's just showing u how to take it apart mr smarty pants

  • You should only dissasemble and inspect once a year unless it tears up. Clean it after each use but not full dissassembly. Taking the three pins out too much will make the pin holes too big and the pins will not sit correctly.

  • Thank you! Great explanation.

  • The sound was off toward the end

  • Or if you want, let me work on it....im a glock armorer, and a master gunsmith.

  • just want to ask if i can use a silencer on my glock 19?or do i have to change the barrel?

  • Is your barrel threaded? If not then a silencer won't be practical to attach.

  • Silencers are illegal.....not a good idea to spread that news on the internet!!

  • @ tnff217. silencers are NOT illegal. i thought they were too but they aren't. you have to send $200 to the government (don't know where exactly) for a special stamp and then you can buy a silencer. so its 200 bucks plus the price for the silencer. :(

  • Not only am I a gunsmith Mr. Camaro, I am also a 20 year law enforcment veteran. I know that they are NOT illegal if you buy the 'STAMP!' The special 'STAMP' more than likely will go along with the filing for an FFL, tons of paperwork federally and through your state and a nice thourough background investigation from the ATF. Good luck with your 200 bucks!

  • well i was just stating the fact that you could get them if you paid 200 for the stamp. didn't mean to upset you or anything. it's just that alot of people think they are illegal and don't think you can get them. didn't know you had much experience. my fault.

  • 200 DOLLAR STAMP,no FFl licence Mr. gunsmith. You could go buy a m16 with out an FFL licence all you need is a 200 dollar stamp for each weapon, It is just cheaper to get the FFL licence if you are going to be buying more than one weapon. Thank you, 23 years on the streets of life PIG!!!!!!

  • Uhh...wow...ur smart... -.-

  • He didn't take the slide lock spring out. You can take it out with a flat head screwdriver carefully, so you don't bend it. Two more functions tests: empty gun, rack the slide, dont pull the trigger and shake the gun..you shouldnt hear anything. pull the trigger and you should hear the firing pin rattling. That means the improtant stuff is working. Also put an EMPTY mag in, pull the slide back and see if the slide stays in the open position. That'll show if the slide stop is working.

  • Post a video, you ARE right!

  • i dont think it tells how to disassemble the firing pin or trigger mechs in the manual, im glad i came across this.

  • TA DA ¡¡¡ hahaha
