  • Thanks so much for the tips :D They really helped......but i think i need to gain a little bit more trust with my horse to slide off of her butt lol

  • HAHA really nice..

I alway mount from both sides of the horse too. It was fuuny when I was riding I was really young and I mounted my horse on the right side and the instructor called out to me "What side to you mout on when riding" and I was stumped because I never thought about it so I said "What ever side is closer" then she replyed with "Thats a good awnser" :D

  • @HappyLittlePiggy Haha! That's awesome! But soo true- why work extra hard and move your horse around so you can get on the left side? When its just as easy to get on the right?!

  • i just saw this video. thanks so much for making it, it is realy helpful! I am going to be starting to lease a horse i am now riding for horseback riding lessons in march and once we form a great bond I am going to try this! Is your most recent video from one month ago? You should make them more often! I just found your channel and I love it! Do you think you could also make more kind of how to videos? thanks!

  • @Urbangloss99 Good Luck!! Horses are amazzinng, its awesome you have to opportunity to lease one! I have to admit I have been lazy about making them, with college, my job and everything else I have been soo strung out! I would love to make more how-to vidoes!..any suggestions on what people would like to know??? This was soo much fun to make! :)

  • @KatyGirl93 Haha I will seriously watch any videos u make!! Can you do like a tricks video? (if you do teach your horses tricks like bowing, etc.) Also do you braid your horses manes? if so could u make a video of the types of braids you do?? and any other type of how to! lol. thanks!!

  • this is good, but i need to be able to do this in riding lessons witha horse that wont stand still.

  • This is a real sweet vid of you and your horse =]

What is his name, by the way? (sorry if i missed it in the vid >.<'')

It makes me miss being up at my friends ranch....they have ten horses, including a Mule(Azel) and a Donkey(Willy Wonka Donkey xD) But my favorite baby boy lives there, too. His name is Ranger--Mustang, with a gorgeous long main and tail. And he is a kettle corn junky XD (Longishly short story)

Right about now he's due to get his hair brushed again. And I'm stuck at school D<

  • @breyerhorsecraxy Thank you. :) The big darker horse is Brenna, and the lighter bay is Sherifa. :)

Thats awesome!! I hateee when school and my job and everything get in the way of spending time with my ponies. I went riding last week for the first time in like a month! It was lonng over due! lol

  • hahah..........I gotta try this. My horse is 14.1 and I am 5'4 and I have been trying forever to get on her bareback. You'd think I could do it with ease right? HECK NO! hahahah. Then my other horse is 14.3 still have yet to try mounting bareback from the ground lol.....

  • My daughter rides a 16hh horse. After watching your video she gave it a go and then did it at her ribbon day. She is 148cm tall. She came 1st. Thanks : >

  • @kalma24 That's awesome!! Great job to her!! :)

  • What a sweet vid! And a very helpful one too :)

Thank you for taking time to make it. It is beautifully done :)

  • @EwigeStudentin Thank you. :) Glad it could help! :)

  • this is soooooo on my bucket list! haha love ur horse!

  • @savannah4422 hahaha! Gotta love bucket list's!!! And thank you! :D

  • i loove your horse :) she completely trusts you ^_^

  • @springie6879 Thank you. :) :)

  • My horse just puts his ears back and moves his butt away. We will eventually get it!!!!

  • @ModelHorseGal1 haha! good- determination!! Good luck!! :D

  • at 2:50 i did the and when i was still on his neck he put his head down and i fell! when i get to his ears he put his head up and when i laned it hurt realllllly bad!!

  • @Drill2RideRR ouch! not good- he will get it though- eventually- when to put his head down & when to pick it up- at the right time!! lol

  • AHHHHH my horse is almost too fat to do this, I'll be like in the middle of pulling myself up, but I'll just like slip... can't really explain it HAHAHA.

    nice video though,. :)

  • @ImWithStupiddd Hahahah. Gotta love the rolley polley horses! :) & thank you! :)

  • I really like your opinions on right side mounting ^.^ In my rodeo club from where I am, there was a challenge to see who could get on their horse the best from the right side, and I was the only one able to do it cause I try to mount on both sides easily. =p it was funny lol

  • @CodysTuffLilLena Awesome!! So glad to hear there are other believers out there!! :D

  • hehe i love how you hopped on her neck and she just kept eating ;) she was like -okay, my mama is being weird... again. mite as well keep eating my food!-

  • @JumpingJewels14 haha exactly!! love it!

  • would you happen to be in PA? the trail at the end loooks so much like the one i ride on.

  • @HoovesAndWings N. :) I live in VT.

  • not to sound mean or rude or anything, but bare foot around a horse?????

  • @arkykittle Oh ya! lol. I know its a risk..but I still do it.

  • @KatyGirl93 sometimes i go in flipflops!

but yeah i totaly agree! i feel more in touch with my horse when i am riding bareback; wearing my favorite t-shirt and jeans, and going barefoot and or flipflops

  • Is It Ok To Ride If I Have A Short Arm Cast On?

  • @TheJumper64 I dont see why not! :)

  • mounting rom the right is ok. Just that mounting from the left is the ''traditionnal' way...

  • Wow amazing Video! You have a great bond with your Horse. Your Horse is so pretty and I love your Hair =] Great job!

  • Very nice... luv it.. I used to be able to do that like a million years ago when I was taking gymnastics... but just a thought.. perhaps people might want to consider wearing shoes when attempting something like this... I've had my toes stepped on--even with shoes and I nearly lost them! ;)

  • How do you get a strong relationship with your horse??

  • @xxRachelkxx Lots, and lots and LOTS.. oh and LOTS of time spent with them. lol. Some days I just go sit on their backs while they are grazing in the paddocks. Sometimes just giving them a good brushing or bath (although not all horses are thrilled with this, mine like it) and just being around them. My horses also LOVE going trail riding, so I make sure to try riding them a couple times a week- if not every day. Its just like making a relationship with another person, it takes time, effort..

  • @xxRachelkxx And a whole lot of love. :)

  • so i have a 17hand horse && i'm only 5'3 && it's nearly impossible for me to get up even though my horse just stands there and waits for me to get on . but i think i might try the jumping on the neck . it seems like it would work haha . great videos though ! (:

  • @horsecrazy194 lol. Thats great you have a quiet understanding horse!

    & Thank you! :)

  • awesome i subbed! :)

  • @BarrelRacinSugar Thanks! :)

  • my horse just survived worms AND hives, she is strong, i mean strong, and dont want to jump on her neck, lol, but i will try the first thing, or indian style, lol

  • @isingsongs123 Wow!! Thats amazing! I've had horses with both things.. but not at once! Its a scary thing, and takes a strong horse to get through!

    Good luck!!

  • love this video! its gorgeous.. i want to start horse riding im a bit scared tho

  • @ockstaar Its completely natural to be nervous about starting riding.. its a scary thing sometimes. But, just remember to have confidence in yourself, as well as your instructor and horse. I'm sure you'll do great! :)

  • lol i get what u mean by being out of shape i dont advise taking 7 1/2 month off then riding 4 horses in 2 days lmao i am still sore

  • @horselovergirl92 haha. Ya!! I bet! I had to not ride for a couple months while I was at school, and like physically I kept in shape, but well.. my 'horse' muscles were out of shape! and when I started working at a farm for school it took weeks for me to get back 'in shape'! lol.

  • so cool

  • @moonshadowh Thanks. :)

  • You look bigger then me! But I'm 5'6" and 103 lbs... It's weird. I can mount the first way you showed (Swinging up) but I only succeed 1 out of every 5 tries.... I haven't ridden since November (Fell off and got a concussion) and I am so out of shape.... Hopefully I'm going to start riding again in the next couple weeks after I look at this new barn (I think it's where I'm going!). I subbed by the way! Also you have a gorgeous horse!

  • @EventerGirl707 Thanks!! And really?! lol.. im a short 5' 2"... but I weigh 115.. so a little more. :) It takes lots of time and practice to get in shape for ground mounting! I have tried much in a few months..I can only imagine what it would look like if I tried. lmbo.

  • more vids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! awsome

  • You obviously have such a great relationship with your horse. You two make a great team. Beautiful video. :]

  • @justinluv Thanks!! :) I do love my horses a LOT!

  • when I tried this over the summer I couldn`t do it!xD,I was afraid of kicking Charms too!My instructor tried a bunch and she couldnt get it either! It was fun though. Now he likes to try and bite when I just jup from the side,it makes me angry,xD

  • @devinbriann12 haha. Hey- if you could at least have fun with it thats all that matters! and im sure with time and practice you'll do great!!

  • i love this video!!! hehe i was wondering if u could give me some tips?well im short about no taller then 5'ft(im still growing) and i ride tall horses(15h-16.2h) and i have a really hard time getting on them from the ground. what should i do?

  • @swishfoot I can understand your delema.. I am short (well- I prefer fun size. lol. I dont like being 'short') myself.. and like riding the taller horses. ;)

Have you tried jumping on your horses neck?.. I find this a LOT easier for tall horses. The other thing is, when you back up to the horses neck (before jumping on in the other style) go as flat at you can to the horses neck.. it gives you a little more momentum before going into your jump. :)

    Good luck! :)

  • this is mariah not kendall;

i love standing and kneeling on my horse when i ride :)

and i always tried ground mounting bareback but i never

really got the hang of it so i'm definitely going to try your way!

    this is a cute video

  • @xokenny17 Me too! :) & Thank you. :)

    And hope it went well!!!

  • WOW, your horses are gorgeous! I think it shows youare a lot better rider riding in just a headcollar than all these newfancy gadgets like side reins, cruppers, e.t.c. If you could give me any tips that would begreat, I've just started mounted gamesand vaulting is a must!! Really Really REALLY well done, I love this vid and it issoworthwile.

  • @lovehorses818 Thanks!! I love just riding my horses naturally... like you said without all the extra gadgets. :)

Um, i'd be happy to give you any pointers you would like- did you have any specific questions? As far as vaulting and riding bareback like that its a matter of just trusting your balance-RELAXING (big one), and trusting your horse. Its tons of fun- you just got to remember no ones perfect right off- it takes time and effort.. but its all worth it in the end! :)

  • it helped!!! haha, know you've had it up for awhile and all but i finally tried it! I was on a little hill but i still did it! then i was on no hill and it still worked, but it was kinda your old way! oh well i was so happy! Thanks

    ~Chelsi~

    <3333333 Brenna!
