  • What's the name of the second chord (after the initial A)? I've tried to find what it actually is but have thus far been unsuccessful, and have been forced to call it the Ten Years Gone chord.

  • you act like i know these chords. tell me the fret #

  • Great help, man... Thanks!

  • i was told this had a drop D tuning, e.g. only the low E was tuned down to D. is this right?

  • well yeah smokinjoe,,still my favorite tho,, hey,,lyrics!!!

  • Great lesson interfr.

    Much appreciated.

  • Thank you!! That helped alot!!

  • Is this being played in standard tuning my ear is shit.

  • jimmy page= one of the most raw guitarists known to humanity. he is like an angel of guitar that was bestowed upon us by the god of music. it is a true honor to be able to listen and appreciate his music.

  • @MajestikClan4 Can't thank the rock gods enough for the 4 musicians of Led Zeppelin. I wonder if 100 years from now, Page will be remembered and played like Bach and Beethoven are now-hmm? We will never have another group of such talented musicians as Robert Plant, with both lyrics and singing. Jimmy Page, an epic guitarist, (think Bach, Strauss on piano) John Paul Jones and Jon Bonham. Nope, you're not going to duplicate that talent ever again. Long live Zeppelin.

  • E#dim7 ? Ive always played it d#dim7/f#

  • One of my favorite songs. Jimi Page is definitely one of the best out there who can play hard rock, ballad rock like Stairway to Heaven and this song, folk rock and blues

  • love your tone dude

  • tuned standard huh? your ear is pretty bad if you think so. you are wrong and obviosly know nothing about music and its theory.

  • @ledhendrix1707 it is standard tuning I guess you hear a drop D?

  • this is so good, why not show the rest of the song (esp. solo and bridge)??

  • Thats great, best lesson of this song on UTube.

Did you every end up doing the next section of the song?

  • what kind of douche-lickers would rate this a thumbs down?

  • YEAH, NICE JOB

  • Hey, can you show the next part of the song? Great Vid!!

  • Lots of people are confused about the tunning. Some say it's standard others say it drop D. The truth is that it is both. There are multiple parts - some use standard tunning some use drop D. This clean intro is standard - during the solo the backing track is drop D - and the solo track is again standard. How did he pull that off live? Easy he used drop d tunning and transposed the standard parts to drop D.

  • @BigSmokeJoe he had a double guitar

  • Jimmy Page was a genius.

  • was a genius and still is a genius... :)

Learning Page riffs are essential if you are a guitarist that wants to be good. His genius is inspiring.

  • very well done, thank you.

  • thanks a almost have it down : )

  • I like the way you teach! Very clear, and you go over the tough parts and explain them well. Excellent!

  • awesome lesson a little slower would have been good but it was still helpful

  • any special tunning?

  • DADGBE

  • drop d DADGBE from bottom up

  • it's tuned standard eadgbe.. those other guys are wrong

  • @SmokingWithJoe the distorted part it's easier to play if your guitar's tuned dadgbe

  • @SmokingWithJoe It's tuned: dadgbe. Just wait for the little lick after the intro, that lick sound awful without the dadgbe tuning.

  • standard

  • whats the tuning?

  • Great job, thank you.

  • Great instruction on a very good song. It helped me out alot. Was also wondering if you might do the rhythm part of the solo sometime?
