How do you add the patch? I tried using a hex editor but it just disabled being able to move at all. I saw the patch but don't know how to apply it to the rom. Please help if you can.

Damn, that is way bad ass! My only question, really, is....if you can just walk everywhere, then what's to stop the player from just going straight to Bowser's castle right at the beginning? The RPG style map is cool, though, and I LOVED how there was an airship! And the Chrono Trigger/Zelda music was really cool, too ;)

dunno made it awhile ago. Maybe about 10 hrs total over about 2.5 weeks (?), accounting for ripping GFX, palettes, and laying down all the tiles and such.

There's a patch in the patches section of smwc. it doesnt automatically make you able to walk everywhere, you have to place blank level tiles where you want mario to walk.

one time i tried to do overworld like that but there was ,,round'' sound. not so long ago i wanted to make crazy (not hard but annoying) hack and used stars.and the secret was to use stars not lv x_x...(in OW)

Yeah. You have to put in +x2B07 in the box. Then it should work. (the actual address for the SP2 is x2B08 though)

yes it is it was possible due to hard work and a lot of spare time. yeah and if you meant it as how did you create the small hils and flowers and mountains; well they can be created by yy-chr and of course changing the pallete makes some unique looking land. : P
