  • for blood, for honour, for freedom

  • My tears always drop when i listen to this song.

R.I.P Richard Winters and all brave men in the army :'(

    Sorry for my bad english

  • The 101st Airborne. The spearhead of the US Army.

  • Most of those soldiers in WW II didn't go home, but that's ok because they've gone to Heaven where they belong.

  • there is a local singer that has done this song and my mom bought the cd he had including this amazing song aswell as others to do with the military. this music is beautiful sounds amazing whether male or female singing it gives me goosebump when i hear it and sometimes tears (the money for the CD went to a charity called Help For Heroes for military veterans and serving members and having a brother and father who were in the military it helped thanks to everyone in the armed forces

  • doesn't she have the best version for this song? anyone know if someone else sings it better?

  • That soldier is dead but their souls will always remain alive in our hearts

  • Honor to Sgt.allen who lost two legs because of mine has, in February.

These soldiers that sacrifice for their country.

Sorry my English is not very good.

  • This reminds me of a quote given from Saving Private Ryan. "James... earn this, earn it." I may not be a soldier, but hearing those words makes me try to live my life for the best that I can, because I know that others are laying their lives down just so that I may have an opportunity to live a life of freedom and make a nicer living for myself than people living lives of oppression in other countries. Earn the right to live an American citizen ladies and gentlemen. Live your life to the fullest

  • Many men are remembered for this many men were remember before this all I know it only takes 1 man to start a war and Leave no man behind to die if you cant get out of there die with honor and bravery and freedom becuase you will never be forgoten fellow soldiers...

  • why was it someone as singed in BOB and not in The Pacific songs ?

  • i will never forget this until i die my father is at war i respect the soldiered

  • @texasmavs1985 sorry of your lost

  • THANK YOU!! This soldier will never forget all the Soldiers who fight our freedom!!

We will never forget this, forever in our hearts! Those pure hero's...

  • @MrRemyEtienneLeBeau INDEED! This IS a requiem to Major Winters and ALL the others that fought, died or survived for freedom. I do so long to see the day 'when the world is free'.

  • Thank you SO MUCH for posting this, BRAVO!! I cried thru the series when it aired.

My late father served as an MP in Los Alamos in 1944-45. Another friend's dad survived D-Day. My best friend's mom, when a very young German Jew was smuggled out of Berlin by neighbors and lost her family to Hitler.

Freedom isn't cheap but it's worth the cost!!!

  • i'm from the netherlands, and everytime i'm in the hills of Arnhem (market garden) i have to think about all the soldiers who died there... its awesome the netherlands has a day of memorial (to remember and honor the dead of WW2) and a day of liberation (to celebrate the freedom we got at VE-day, a few days before VE-day, holland got liberated by mostly canadian troups) ... i remember those days every year, cause freedom is something really special, that should be valued!

  • @TeAmoRafaelNadal From the USA to you, EXCELLENT words!!!

  • @TeAmoRafaelNadal Bless you!

  • Happy B-day, America

  • how could someone possibly dislike this, no respect for veterans

  • Beautiful song. Terrific video compilation! Exception job! Thanks!

  • @MrRemyEtienneLeBeau One by one, Easy company is being brought back together, R.I.P lads.

  • @TheSirRoberto

    true R.I.P from Denmark

  • @TheSirRoberto And that is actually a sad future :(

  • the 10 who disliked this, are oficially damned!

  • @MrRemyEtienneLeBeau

true dat man, true dat! god bless his soul!

  • This video sent chills down my spine. Don't forget also that this is an international story. A vet from my country, New Zealand had some great tales of serving with U.S. British and Australian soldiers in the Italy campain, although the war had a bad effect on him personally.

  • @chrisc918 Tell him this yank thanks him for his efforts going up the Bloody Boot.

  • @MrJohn2010 He passed away about 4 years ago. He became a pacifist after the war, couldn't even kill the sheep on his small farm, had to ask a neighbour to do it.

  • @texasmavs1985 so you went through meps and got kicked out?

  • @texasmavs1985 Interesting. Well I'm glad for you and your family that he survived. Tell him I thank him for his service. I'm soon to join the Army in three years after I graduate high school. I can't wait!

    Are you in the military?

  • @texasmavs1985 What was his MOS?

  • You don't have to be in the Military to respect and honor those who have fallen for this nation.I'd like to thank the men and women and their families who have sacrificed everything for us to be living freely today.Thank you for fighting for us to be free and live our lives the way we do.

  • how can u dislike anything like this??

  • @nokleby1

If your a hippy i guess

  • The first time you hear it you can't understand if it's English. But then you actually hear the words the rest of the time... Song always makes my eyes tear up. ],:

  • @texasmavs1985 Your grandfather was a hero. May he RIP.

  • my grandpa never lived to see this show. but if he did. he would have said to me. "this is how it happened." but he told me that he had to shoot children towards the end of the war. he said that he did it so i can have the life i have now. R.I.P all of those who died in or survived the horror that this war brought. :(

  • If there's one thing I shall remember from the 20th century, it'll be those men who fought and sacrificed their lives in the WWII to make it able for the future generations to live in peace. And I really hope their efforts back then won't be in vain in the future as well. They deserve better than that.

  • this is awsome why didnt i think of this god dam u livcaz , only joking enjoyed my view thought 10-10

  • It makes me proud to fight with the the 101!!!

  • God Bless all of the men like Major Winters that have helped keep us free

  • This song and video gives me chills. It's very moving. Thank you my brothers and sisters for serving and giving your life to protect the worlds greatest country. Hoorah.

  • i take my hat off for this

  • Who disliked that?

Obviously dosent know good music ...

  • The real Japan -_-

    /watch?v=GFa4h7uAcpg

  • look at what they fought for .... the world dosent give a dam today ....

  • Comment removed

  • @BOYbelt More give a damm than you think ..we have hundreds of thousands fighting terrorists today that care and prove it by risking their lives daily....they exist because of the example the "Greatest Generation" helped establish..don't let the corrupt liberal Tories we call a media ( aka Democrats) nowadays mislead you...many like them in 1776 thought Washington & his handful of american soldiers freezing at Valley Forge were foolish...they were wrong then and they are wrong now.

  • I would have follow Major Winters into battle any day. He was truly a great man.

  • just love it...

  • its not what you fight for its what you fight against. yes those men fought for each other but they fought against a menace they fought against world domination they fought against racism and cruelty in the end they fought for what they believed was right but they fought against everything that was wrong

  • I too would do anything to server with these men. These band of brothers will forever be remembered and loved.

  • Every soldier is the same they fought for their country! Bless all of them! Beautiful song and Kathrine Jenkins is just amazing!

  • The waffen SS, Easy or SAS... anyone of todays soldiers can call themselves "the elite"

those guys walked to hell, fought in hell and finally left hell for ever

as a danish SS man once said " jeg ved jeg kommer i himlen for jeg har været i helvede" - "i know im going into heaven cus' i have already been in hell"

  • respect

  • RIP Major Winter

  • AS A CADET OF THE 47F AIR TRAINING CORPS, I SALUTE ALL THOSE WHO SERVED FOR OUR FREEDOM!

  • Friggin heroes.

  • Excellent Job with the video! Brought tears to my eyes watching this after hearing of the death of Major Winters. R.I.P. Major you were an inspiration....

  • @MrRemyEtienneLeBeau ur comment made me shed a tear i didnt know he died,i guess it was time he joined his company of heroes ; (

  • Simply beautiful, heart-reenching, breathtaking, throught provoking and totally humbling...

    Thank you.

  • The Biggest Brother has joined the rest of "The Hero's" he served with June 6, 1944.

You shall not be forgotten. RIP Major Winters.

  • The Biggest Brother has joined the rest of "The Hero's" he served with June 6, 1944.

You shall not be forgotten. RIP Major Winters.

  • Livcaz - this is a beautiful video. Very touching and a fitting tribute to all the men who fought for our freedoms. RIP Major Dick Winters and all of the veterans who we are losing on a daily basis. Many 'ordinary' men who did 'extraordinary' things and yet were amongst the most humble of human beings. Thank You for you sacrifice!

  • My fairest....May they all rest in peace....with that certainy in knowing that we shall never rest in pursuance of Life, Liberty, and a smile at the end of a long day....Col. O. B. Wright .

  • When i see anything on 101st airborne it just sends goosebumps and an over powerful amount of total respect for these brave men...R.I.P MAJOR WINTERS and all those fallen..you will never be forgotton.!!

  • My only thing is that you should have ended with the Buck Compton salute from the Breaking Point episode. That was the single saddest part of the whole damn thing for me

  • CURRAHEE...

    Great song and great video

  • Awesome Video. RIP Maj. Dick WInter's. CURRAHEE!!!!

  • Awesome video. RIP Maj. Dick Winter's. CURRAHEE!!!!!

  • How about US. officer R.Winters shooting that kid?

"young man who die".... like song say...

  • I raped replay button.

  • These great men died for our freedom, the smallest thing you can do is remember it and never forget, because of these great men, we are now live, I think if Nazi Germany wins the war, no one of us would be here, so, show your respect and don't be an idiot as 90% of population.

  • Those 8 people are all foxhole Normans

  • I don't think of this as a mini-series, I think of it as the best movie ever that was split into loads of different parts because it kicked so much ass!

  • @gothchild55 For sure thats the best commet ever

  • I smell 8 Krauts around...

  • it's simply perfect

  • Just following up on AveNullus comment, if you read Winter's book, the movie took a great deal of artistic lisc in that scene. In reality he topped the dike and threw a grenade but it had been taped as shown in he beginning of episode 5, it did not go off, the kid then tossed a grenade that exploded behind Winters and then Winters was able to shoot the German. He did kill the young soldier, but in effect it was not protrayed as it occured in reality.

  • I felt awful when Winter's did that run ahead of the squad up onto the small ridge and killed the young German soldier, a kid drafted into the army who probably didn't even truly realise what he was fighting for.

I thought Winter's may have let him run & concentrate his fire on the German Company instead, he didn't of course, he shot the kid dead; That's the first time I realised, although Winter's had a lot of morals about him, he was a soldier first & foremost trained to kill, fighting a war.

  • Great Great job.

I have to lose a day whenever I see BoB is on. What hits me most are the vignettes of the real men. It reminds me that when we see old farts acting corny really dramatic at veteran's events, we forget - they were young once, full of piss & vinegar as they would say, real fighting SOB's. And they risked it all - and many sons, brothers and dads never made it home.

So when you see one who did - tell them thanks.

  • Looks like 8 Nazi's watched this video...

  • amazing song!this is the best video in whole youtube!i love this video!makes me crying

  • oooo. goosebumps

  • ALLIED>AXIS...that is all

  • 8 dislikes Huh well at least im not some black rap listening motherfucker bitch a-hole whoops did i overdo it (This song is very touching)

  • Did anyone read the book?

  • @magicman628

    yes, I did..........

  • hats off....... truly heart touching....

  • A brilliant series, and what a fantastic rendition of the main theme.

  • so sad

  • I'm so glad this was a mini series instead of a movie. It was way too good to be condensed into a 2 hour movie. So amazing!!!!

  • this song is on the BOB show but thay cut the words

  • Great video!

  • Back then was real war. Now its all cowards tactics and guns that could shred a couple men in one clip is the average foot soldiers weapon. Its like today we have lost 4 soldiers tday BIG WHOOP! on one day we lost over 100,000 men.

  • @10012jman The casualty rates weren't that bad during WWII. Not even that bad in Vietnam. And it's not a Big Whoops for every soldier lost. They died for the same thing the people of WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam died for.

  • @halostar6 It doesnt matter what the casualty rate is, we still had young men dieing. One death during a whole entire war, is to many deaths for me.

  • @10012jman im still saying to give all foot soldiers a minigun each.

  • @10012jman Really, what war was that? The bloodiest one day battle in American history was Antietam with 23,000 lost. No one that was there is alive today.

  • @10012jman So you would rather have wars fought like before? Why not do what we can to keep our people alive by giving them the best that we can supply them with? Did you know those 4 soldiers that died? No probably not. So you probably dont care. But others did.

    Prick.

  • joelucas@aol.com

    reaperm120@aol.com

  • This is the greatest band of brothers video ever !!!!!

  • I would have done anything to serve with those great men

  • @Scarryotter Amen~

  • @Scarryotter me too, and I wish I could do something to thank them for giving me my freedom.

  • @Scarryotter 100% agreed

  • @Scarryotter Yeah! I'm saying these same words every time I see this great fucking serial.

  • @Scarryotter Join the military and join with the great men and women serving today.

  • @Scarryotter I would have too..... and I just turned 14. I would have served with any soldier, Air Force, Navy, Army, I don't care. They were and are all brave men and women.

  • Band of Brothers is a MASTERPIECE! With gratitude to all those soldiers who died to make this world a better place.

  • the golden generation. i was born 70 years too late...

  • Long live the heroes of the second world war

  • The eagle will always scream for our fallen Brothers!

  • j'adore cette chanson,s'est ma serie préférer,le clip est superbe

  • a great deal of respect to our soldiers as well the german soldiers-they were answering there countrys call to fight the war, just like us.

  • This movie made a deep impact on me, it represents something that really did happen.

Total respect from me and Scotland.

  • @murooz Same here man. Left me reflecting for a long time. Someone else wrote they wish they could do something back to thank those who fought for us. I came to the conclusion that we just have to live our lives as good people and appreciate everything that we take for granted.

    R.I.P Major Winters and thanks.

    From England.

  • all i have to say is this: The american soldiers who fought and gave their lives to save us are the bravest men in the world, however, the war started in 1939. America joined in 1942. YOU WERE LATE. Even though you were late, you still helped and i am very greatful for that

  • This is by far the best band of brothers video on youtube

  • @Distancian Thanks for that comment :) x

  • @Distancian the brave band of solder for your company ~ my favorite thraze

  • I don't think that we will ever have peace. There will always be someone that wants more than they have and who is willing to do anything to get it. *sad smile*

  • désolé...je n'aime pas du tout la voix ! ...trop Aigue!!! Dont like this voice :/

  • fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity

  • @littlemontev is that good comment, or bad one

  • @warstickMOVIES its an anti war comment lol but i believed in world war 2 but i love the series and it was a comment on the other people making comments about war for piece

  • omg i hate the vocals!

  • this was so beautiful. man as i am there are only 5 things in this world that have brought me to tears... band of brothers, the pacific, saving private ryan, letters from iwo jima, flags of our fathers, and black hawk down...

  • this really makes me cry...this is so good song Michael Kamen was a genius...these are the real heroes!!

  • I would like to ask everyone to stop bickering about the "what if" and "if this" and accept that our brothers, be it American, English, Canadian, EVERY ALLY...all of them sacrificed everything to give us the world we have today. It may have its problems, however WE ALL are free. If you have the pro Nazi side of the argument then go ahead...state your case. We all did our part, and we should all embrace what tributes like this really mean.

  • The end of this film is BEAUTIFUL,and him music too ! +1 if you like this

  • Je dédie cette chanson à tous ces braves gars qui se sont battus pour libérer la Belgique, ne les oublions jamais.

  • I really love the song and the whole band of brothers. What song do the german citizens play in the ending of the story? (Nixon says it's Beethoven's)

  • i just cant find any free download eposoide from the internet..... it seems i will have to buy the DVD

  • So epic! i must cry! Love the series!

  • Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius

  • To save your world you asked this man to die:

Would this man, could he see you now, ask why?

    — Epitaph for the Unknown Soldier

    ~By W. H. Auden

  • When you think hard what those men saw... you'd never see that in 100 lifetimes, let alone in one year. Can anyone really truly imagine what it must have been like, to go through that, and then just jump back into civvie street? It hardly bears thinking about. Incredible men... thanks for the upload.

  • i salute you men of easy company 101 first airborne

  • I used this song at my grandpa's funeral. He served in the US army during WWII and passed away back in February 2010.

  • @hitmanred1985

God bless your grandpa. Mine was a veteran of Italy and Africa. He died four years ago at 94. Just holding his Africa and Italy star... amazing.

  • the BEST!!!!!!!!!!! video ive ever seen

  • Respect for all the men who fought for our freedom, especially the americans, the british, the canadians and the resistance movements.

Thank you for all the british and canadian soldiers who risked their lives to liberate Antwerp and Merksem.

    RESPECT FOR THE LIBERATORS

  • I like in the end when she sings when the world is free n the NCO's salute to Winters..

  • With a clear enemy, and a sound cause, I would've served in a instant.

Thank you to those who shared this burden. I shall be ever thankful for your sacrifice. This song makes me cry every time I hear it, I will remember you always.

  • the nazies we're only following orders, they we're not evil they were scared like us, but There is no such thing as batman or Superman, but there are heroes that parents raised... men and women no superpowers.... the people that would put their life on the line for us, for their country.. They made the ultimate sacrifice. and we are all greatfull for it..... R.I.P

  • @elboslayer Yes, but the NAZIS wanted the war, it was the other members of the German military, the non-nazis, that I respect.

  • @Solarian2495 shut up man!just 3 or 4 people wanted the war!or dou you think that the soldiers like to kill other people???you can´t tell me something!i heard storys from my grandfather i was shocked! so just shut up when you have no clear mind!

sry when my english is bad!

  • @DerPimmler I to have heard the stories, and I am saying that not all germans were nazis. The nazis were an evil, anti-sematic group that should have been stopped sooner, but I salut all of the German soldiers who fought for their fatherland. For example, Erwin Rommel is a hero of mine.

  • In fields of sacrifice... heroes paid the price

  • Merci à tous ces hommes qui ont libérés mon pays, qu'ils reposent en paix.
