A real shame.. my w3580 kicks the shit out of the low entry level quad cores.. I have no need for 6-cores, as most games I play don;'t even use more than 2 cores.. plus, my mac pro is a general PC and no pro apps.
But, the w3580 kicks the crap out of the w3530,w3565
Plus, I didn't spend 1200 for the processor.. rather 600.
Ive been wanting to get one of the mac pro so bad lately. Thats on my list for my next upgrade...messing with HD on a macbook is becoming much more challenging.
@mdrproductionz I hear you Matt - I'm loving this new machine. When editing this video I literally sped through the post work several times faster than I would on my old machine! I highly recommend the new MacPro (but not as an upgrade from the last model - the 2010 model has hardly any new features except added speed).
