@NCcinematograper You know, I find HAWX and Ace Combat to be equal, at least for the first one.

The first HAWX had MANY more planes to choose from, and it also felt smoother. It was essentially the American version of Ace Combat with a Tom Clancy-ish plot and superior choice.

Even if HAWX 3 is terrible, at least it won't be like "FPS Wannabe" Assault Horizon. UGH.

Therefore, it is more like "I didn't feel like waiting for my Japanese steak to finish cooking, so I had some American steak."

@Shack11 I like both, actually. Hawx is fun from the standpoint a better selection of planes. It's similar to AC aside from the off mode (which I don't like from a control standpoint. save for very quick moves that basic make you stand still and let whoever's chasing you blow by like you weren't even there.) A.C. is better in that it makes you think a little more, since you don't have that magical turn on a dime button. though both of them are really utterly unrealistic.

@syson551 this is the best ace combat game!Gives me so many memories.Not that i cant play it now...there is a version for the computer but its more fun playing it on the PS1...even if you have a joystick it still isnt the same on the PC :(

Ehh, dont mind that guy. Hawx is fun, mostly because of its awesome tie ins with other tom clancy games (Hope that HAWX 2 will have something to do with Rainbox Six xD) I still love the Ace Combat series, however I dont like them making the series exclusive for the 360 :O

I believe HAWX is a good game, and still play it. It has gameplay elements in the game that has been lacking with Ace Combat, such as a set of weapon packs in each aircraft as opposed to only equipping only one type of special weapon on each aircraft, making Ace Combat's gameplay look boring now.

Namco did a colletion for PS2 (Ace Combat 2, Tekken 2, Klonoa, Mr Driller and one more game that I don't remember right now), it didn't do a remake and this game is available only for Japan.
