I saw the Movie first time last Week. Special Edition.

Some parts of the movie are slow and too long, but the YenTown Band part is awesome. But overall the Movie is impressiv and good. It shows a different kind of Life.

This is totally random (as I've been lurking on youtube forever but have never posted) but I'm having a nostalgic moment. The movie came out when I was a college student in Japan and I remember being excited about it because I KNOW the drummer in the band in the movie! He was part of a real band and I did the manager a favor by taking photos of the band for their album...metcha kutcha natsukashii...

I was having a hard time when I first heard Chara's My way. a few months later, I found the DVD, which is the last copy. I was crying sooo hard, it is one of my favourate movie, along with lilychou.

one of the most memorable scenes of the uber movie.. still, after all these years of it's release, it's still imho, the best cover rendition of my way out there... I heard some other asian "artist" just did it recently but oh god, how it sucked compared to this.. Heart & soul baby, hear & soul... Yen Town Lives!

mika nakashima did a cover of it.. rather it was based on sid vicious' rendition... but i agree this is a far superior cover of the song, and such a perfect scene. i love this film so much!

I was referring to a horrid Mainland China pop act inspired by the CCCP on it's propaganda channel cctv, and not Mika's rendition. Sid's rendition of "My Way" is a karaoke must for most of my friends in Tokyo. SID LIVES
