  • lol blue jay at 0:24

  • BB gun anyone?

  • thats a little jazz bird!

  • @littleangelsass ithink you got that from To Kill A Mockingbird

  • This bird is annoying ass hell! Especially in the morning. It doesn't shut up! You guys think its nice for 2 mins, but try listening non stop of this birds random hollering. Like a little child who wont be quiet. On top of that, during mating season its a vicious bird, who will attack anyone who passes underneath the tree of its nest.

  • @dontknow905 well, it is a sin to kill a mockingbird so be careful:)

  • @dontknow905 - I think hearing a bird imitating a car alarm in the morning is quite an amazing feat within a sarcastic mind.

  • The bird said "Hey world, I`am become popular on internet" x 1042 times

  • This bird is a remarkable creation our Lord has given us. It sings it's heart away and from the comments I read all we do is try to kill it. This is sad. We are no better than Satin if we are trying to destroy this cute little singer. All you who have them out your window are lucky I wish to be able to hear it's beautiful songs... -3 this truly is a great piece of Gods many works....

  • I could be listening this bird all day long!

  • I love this! It sounds so much like all the birds in Atlanta - Georgia and that is the best thing about the mockingbird. No matter how far am i from home, wen i hear these sounds i just feel save.

  • in human language, this is: lafkjasdhflkajghJNBFDaslkUAHSDGasdasgdawrehqh afwg yeah i dont even know what the fuck im saying

  • @BeautyBabe0071 They live in many different kinds of ecosystems. Their range encompasses most of the U.S.

  • i came here because of the hunger games

  • @MrMugetsuu LOL ME TOO!

  • Our neighborhood mockingbird perches outside my window at 5am, mimicking all the neighborhood alarm clocks. Oh, but he sounds so joyous doing it, so it's hard to get too angry.

  • Are there any birds that look similar to this in body structure. There are birds attacking me in my yard and I think it might be this bird but it doesn't make much noise so its hard to tell. I live in Baltimore.

  • One of these guys is keeping me awake at 2am. Cant blame him, I've been known to look for ladies at this hour myself.

  • Yes, It definitely is talking! I wish we could know what it's saying!

  • Aw!! One of these little guys is chirping outside my window at 2:00 am! :D kinda annoying but it's super cute and I love him :)

  • A small hawk plucked a bird from my backyard today. I heard the squawk and went outside, but all that was left on the crime scene was a few feathers.

...I pray it was the mocking bird that's been tweeting it's head off outside my window at night.

  • how can any one dislike this, their are many videos out their that are honestly stupid go dislike those!!!...God bless these little precious birds....:)

  • Man this little guy knows like, 50 different birdsongs! Hahaha

  • You folks that are frettin about the "noise" of a unique- sounding mockingbird must REALLY appreciate the "noise" of loud traffic, loud music and loud neighbors at ALL hours of the day and night instead. REALLY people?!?!? Enjoy nature and life instead of bitchin about it. Life could be worse...maybe you'd rather be deaf so it wouldn't bug you to hear natures wonderful and unique sounds. Or, you could wish yourself dead along with the beautiful Mockingbirds you so despise. IDebi-Lee

  • the sound it makes between :02- :04 has always been one of my favorite sounds

  • @fernandoangon1129 : Aaaah yes! I live I'm SD and have one of those little bastards right outside my window! Cannot sleep! I love animals but I would just love for this one to die. That or get a mate so it'll shut uuuuppppp.

  • @tacomantuesday: AAAAHHHH!!! I completely agree! It's 2:15am in southern California and one of these little guys is outside my window chirping his heart out!!!

I started reading about them and I guess only bachelors sing at night to attract a mate. Well, this guy must be fugly cause it's been weeks and weeks and he doesn't shut up.

-____- can't wait until he finds a mate....

  • I like those rapid tanager calls it makes at 14 seconds in.

  • The first 20 seconds sound like a car alarm.

  • I HATE THIS BIRD! They started chirping around 1:30 am till dawn. I already have big eye bags because of this bird.

  • Is it possible to see one of them in the county Westchester , New York.

I can swear I wake up with these birds every morning ( in summer time ) Or any similar birds?

  • @fernandoangon1129 YES! I'm in San Diego and I've definitely got a mockingbird outside my bedroom window. I've been sleeping with a pillow over my face for weeks!

  • so this is the noise maker!!!! I lost sleep because of it !!!

  • ha- i played this on the speakers next to the cat and he freaked out looking for it...

  • i love birds, i think i heard a mockingbird the other day but im not sure. i do know it kept alternating from one sound to another so it may have been a mocking bird but it had dark feathers not light. either way this is pretty :)

  • So cute!

  • it's a sin to kill a mockingbird... opps, wait, did I give it away?

  • i love these birds!! i love birds period! dont keep wild birds in cages!! its so sad!!

  • @bambina320 these birds piss the fuck outta my sleeping schedule

  • anyone knows if they are in California? more specifically San Diego. I swear I have heard this or a bird that does the same.

  • @fernandoangon1129 yep - well they're in San Francisco anyway, I've got one outside my wiindow. See the vids on my channel for audio of him doing his nightly 2 am call.

  • @albionangel Oh...well there's one bird outside my house sometimes in the mornings and it sings different songs. Thought it might be one since it's one of the birds I know it's capable of doing so.

  • fuckin annoying in my neighbors lawn .. i threw a waterbottle at it filled with hot water .. it hit it .. and it still stays there .. when DOES IT LEAVE

  • @hohohee1 u r so mean!!

  • @bambina320 its fine. i ordered an automatic machine bb gun via amazon.com and killed it last night

  • @hohohee1 i say again U R SO MEAN!!! & SICK!

  • @hohohee1 Noice

  • @hohohee1 nasty fucker.

  • Texas state bird also.

  • AHAHAHA...How is this cool?

  • this bird makes so many different sounds! it sounds like multiple different birds! now i know which one i love to hear in the morning! :D

  • it's so cute :) do they have them in flordia?

  • @coolkidcash15 Yes, lots of them.

  • @bsartist

good, i love these birds. but i never see them in wisconsin :(

  • @coolkidcash15 They're the Florida state bird.

  • I think it's having a convertion with another bird saying "Ya, I don't know why but theres a person filming me."

  • Bird's got a nice range

  • Cute birds!

  • whatever you do , don't look at a hummingbirds tongue, under a microscope.. yueck its disturbing. it was designed in the 7th circle of hell

  • Those of you who have nothing good to say why are you even here watching this video. That's because your life is a v oid and you have nothing better to do but spread your negative energy.

  • This is great :D

  • "and if that mockingbird don't sing and that ring don't shine, I'ma break that birdie's neck"

    Eminem - Mockingbird

  • Beautiful song and very relaxing...but I know, some people are such nervous, they don't like any sounds at night...sorry, but if you can't asleep with this song, you have a medical condition, called depression. It is a very serious illness and hate to bird's song is a first sign about it.

    A Happy New 2011 year! Love&Warmth. :}X

  • He's good, but he's no lyre bird!

  • I liked it when it went djoo djoo djoo at 1:22

  • @Fantansygirl64 it sounds like a laser beam shooting, like in Star Wars or something lol

  • The reason I like these birds so much is BECAUSE they sing at night. Maybe it's because I'm a birder, but for me it's a reminder that all the beautiful creatures I see during the day are still there when the lights go out. It's nice to hear any natural sounds in a world so polluted by all of our own noise.

  • how sad, a man is deaf (who can upset this?)

  • Comment removed

  • I've never heard a bird call at 3:30 in the morning.

  • Aww this is probably why it is a sin To Kill a Mockingbird =]

  • @thesillyily777 haha, im reading "to kill a mockingbird right now":) your probly right.

  • @dudecctv Yepp =] Great book, too.

  • awesome

  • super beautiful!

  • @michaelloveguitar Butifull loved it thanks dear mic for sharing :=

  • They may not have their own song but I can always tell their voice apart from the other birds more easily.

  • sooooooo beautiful!! sometimes when you're tired of all that junk, too much rock, techno, complaining ppl, ect, you can just relax and listen to nature. its truly calming.

  • Wow .. That is sooo cooooool ! :D :D

  • Those are cute birds.

  • awesome mocking bird !!! i take care of baby mocking birds that fall out of their nest , i feed them (exact) baby bird formula that i purchase from petsmart, after 2 months i set them free so that they may have their own young some day........

  • i played this out loud and the mockingbird on the wires outside my house near the window shut up

  • This bird has been singing much louder and longer than this everynight of my summer break and it's still going, the song is nice but i'd like some sleep too.

  • Wow, it makes so many different-sounding songs. Amazing.

  • Too all you pretentious sugar coating hippies or whatever you are. Lets get real; try studying hard for a big exam and then try going to sleep with this loud ass annoying bird keeping you up. You wont be soo delusional anymore and think its soo wonderful or would u. You all sound crazy and with insane careers like a Plant Psychologist or something. Like Asia said, if you hate humans so much go live in the fuckin forest and dont use human technology, crazy asses.

  • @VPR2000 I feel for you, but if i hear a god damned radio station, bass pumping techno next door, traffic, the industrial sized air conditioner unit across the street, or drunk people outside.. and its CONSTANT, it just becomes backround, and i can't even hear it anymore.

When a sound is inconsistent, it becomes a problem, because it's starting/stopping is distracting. This bird doing its thing constantly shouldn't bother you after a few minutes.

  • They're pretty and all, But HOLY SHIT they're annoying! thats not singing, thats making random high pitched whistles and squawks over and over again

  • @rossjadon what isn't annoying then? keep in mind this bird won't be in your face in a real world scenario.. it will be off in the distance.

  • hahaha this is so funny!!! Thank you for posting this.... I was trying to figure out that this bird was outside my boyfriend's window.

  • Ever herd a Mockingbird sing it's natural call when it's not mimicking others? It's possibly one of the most obnoxious calls on the face of the earth. Worse then a crows, even. Think piece of a piece of paper being teared down the center. That's what woke me up this morning. Don't get me wrong, I love Mockingbirds but they're the only bird that makes me afraid to open my window at night because I know one will wake me up.

  • love this night bird and all his different sounds

  • This shit is fucking annoying; I don't give a fuck what anyone says. And I know that person below me is either lying, old, a freak-hippy, or doesn't hear well. Its okay during the day but I don't know anyone that is fond with this little motormouth singing at night; I mean come on all the constant chirping and shit. Who the fuck likes that? And yes I'm bitching! You have to be high on meth or cocaine to be tolerant of it.

  • I meant that highest rated person!

  • @VPR2000 I'm not high, but when I lived in CT when I was younger I used to hear this bird at night, maybe 12 or 1AM and I thought it was cool since it was the only thing you could hear. My mom was annoyed by it though. You have to be pretty dense to actually search for the bird and what it sounds like, then post a comment with words that could only come out of the mouth of a whiney 13 year old child that just missed it's nap time. You could just simply sleep with ear plugs. They're inexpensive.

  • @XblackResonanceX So what, everyone who gets woken up by this bird comes on here to bitch and vent about how they cant sleep to it. At least I don't go and kill it with a bb gun like other people have. Ear plugs prevent people from hearing their alarm clock.

  • I love the mockingbird, what a variety of songs. I always wondered what if a mockingbirds library of songs were passed to its chicks and what if through an unbroken chain of passed down songs they could be singing songs from long ago extinct birds?

  • @niteowlsam You are insane and you need to quit!! This bird needs to go bacc its habitat or where ever it came from keeping me up at night!! If you want one there is one in my tree right now as I type at 12:00 am and you can come catch his loud ass!! Ppl have jobs and aren't used to living in the forrest Idiot

  • @AsiA272 Get one of those spray gun water ho to scare it away. I know it would probably come back but I would keep on scaring it until it gives up and finds a new tree. To bad there's one across the street from me in my neighbors backyard. I really want to bang on their door cuss the hell out of them and tell their asses to get rid of that fucking bird. And yeah those people who can tolerate it are probably crazy. I like nature, but this bird is an exception.

  • The song from this little bird is so beautiful and soothing. I remember being little and hearing these calls. Thanks for posting!!

  • it's not so fun to listen to them at 4am in the morning when you're trying to go to sleep for an exam.

  • especially good video, as well as lovely soundtrack

  • its song is so different but yes it is quite beautiful.

not all songs have to be harmonic

  • I just shot one of these little fuckers about an hour ago outside my apartment. Good riddance.

  • I have one hanging out in my yard and he sings all night long. Sometimes he sounded so much like a Wren I was confused.

  • wow... just listen to all the different sound a mocking bird can make...

it sounds like its different birds chirping instead of just one

  • LOL! I played this when my mocking bird was outside on my olive tree, and he copied the mocking bird on this video! It was awesome!

  • There's been one outside my window for the past 3 weeks. the midnight to 3am chirping ends tonight.

  • @shadow266 bitch

  • @shadow266 Did you do the deed?

  • I took a video of this wonderfull singer and will put it online whenever I can, love this bird, I was calling my mom overseas and she could hear it too,so we both enjoyed it, these guys can come in anytime serenade me with their awsome repertoire !

  • Oh wow I saw one of these on my roof about a week ago... he is now starting his song at 3:00 am WOW is he LOUD! He was at it from 3:00am on till 6:00am

My son was like I thought that was a car alarm at first.

It did sound like it ... a little but he went into all these other rants as well.

He is really funny.... AND REALLY LOUD.

Oh boy! hope he gets a girl soon. I am not gonna get much sleep until he does.

  • That's amazing! I hear all kinds of bird songs in his repertoire.

  • lol i can hear them outside right now. i dont mind them once in a while, but they're up so damn early!

  • I love Mockingbirds! I see them here all the time here in south Florida. They sing and fly so carefree. Their chirping sounds so sweet relaxing!

  • there needs to be another bird there beatboxing

  • wow good fucking job do you want a medal for being the biggest attention whore?

  • ANNOYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ... for "itsdeeds7": Hard to understand if you find bird sounds "ANNOYING!!!!!".. why would you be listening to a video like this one?

Oh well... to each their own - lol.

I believe mockingbirds are quite unique and pretty to listen to.

  • I hate these bastards. They are starting to sing all night now that it's gotten warm out again.

  • Do Mockingbirds have their own sounds or do they just mimic other birds?

  • Yes they have their own sounds as well. Some "phrases" in the middle of the song are unique. In winter and non-breeding season they also have their own short call that sounds like "chuck".

  • @xbboybeloyx yes, they do have their own sound- that's what most of its song is. it's just that it mixes other bird sounds into its song.

  • I cant believe you people are bitching and complaining about this bird and its beautiful song. You need to fucking see a doctor 'cause I dont think you guys are normal people. This is one of nature's most beautiful sounds. Even if it sang 24 hours a day I wouldn't mind it.

  • I agree, but you don't want to get on the bad side of one of these babies 'cause there will be hell to pay. Trust me.

  • @niteowlsam Totally agree; people need to slow down and experience nature with their five senses more often. I love to listen to bird songs. These precious jewels sing lullabyes to me every Spring evening; and the haunting cry of the Mourning Dove serves as my alarm clock in the morning. Just one of the many reasons why I am thankful for each and every day... :0)

  • @niteowlsam .......yeah really ......it's a beautiful native songbird....wish we had em in Cleveland.

  • @niteowlsam, you must be referring to the calls of the North American Whiner. Actually indigenous to many parts of the world, the Whiner tends to flock to the internet dispersing complaints about things most non whiners find perfectly enjoyable. They're often spotted during beautiful sunsets calling out "If you've seen one sunset, you've sen them all" .

  • @witjunkie True that.I'm starting to think maybe people who whine and bitch about the beautiful song of a bird are generally grumpy cranky whiners overall.I'm pretty sure these people bitch and complain just about everything. If they complain about a bird's soothing song, imagine what they'd do about real annoyances. These people SHOULD be thankful God didn't make Crows nocturnal birds and the M.bird's sweet song was replaced by Crow's croak, or gave frogs wings.Lol.

  • @witjunkie

    Hahahaha, that is hilarious.

  • @niteowlsam thanks for saying what i would say, i agree completely..

  • @niteowlsam LOL...I know they sing beautiful....trust me they are loud as a car alarm...it pierces through earplugs in the middle of the night....yes, people thought I was crazy trying to shoo it away at 3:40am....I don't hate them, as long as it's not 1-4am it's fine...LOL...

  • 0:03 eagle ?

  • blue jay

  • 0:03 - catbird

    0:27 - osprey

    1:02 - gray titmouse

Heard the titmouse a 2nd time around 1:50 and somewhere I think I heard a bobwhite. He's been around.

  • so what does it reeeeally sound like, if it imitates everyone else? ....

  • wow these sounds are really relaxing and calm.

  • @twiligh4trinitya They are nice but wait when one of them decides to perch right next to your bedroom windows and is mating season..ha...and it's 3:30 in the morning it'll drive you nuts cause they are as loud as a car alarm.

  • Well maybe you should close your window? =D

  • @twiligh4trinitya Oh, believe me I tried, their pitch is louder than a car alarm, it's incredible, but from 8-5pm it's rather a beautiful singing...:)

  • @twiligh4trinitya Keep checking the videos here, there is one from Mexico where you can clearly hear the mocking bird immitating chicken it's histerical...:)

  • @twiligh4trinitya Oh! I remember what I did, I wore earplugs is your best line of defense..:)

  • @twiligh4trinitya Mexican mockingbird or cenzontle check at 1:14 secs into the videos this birds starts mocking chicken it's funny :)

  • @djmz1969 Thank u but this is exactly how I came to be in love with them.Summer time in the middle of a warm night, everything is quiet and peaceful except for a soft breeze and.....the beautiful song of this amazing bird.I thought I was in heaven.I still remember those nights after 20 years.I'm a night person and hearing songs of birds at night makes my night even better.

  • Now, unfortunately I dont hear them at all any more because they dont come up here in this shitty cold place. The nights are cold and quiet as deafness itself.

  • mockingbirds are cool. we used to have a pet mockingbird named Oscar.

  • amazing. Nice clip.

  • At least at the beginning it's a car alarm. I'm sure of it.

  • arend dey blue? scuze my englis frum oder cuntry

  • They make me almost want to be a morning person. How pretty!!

  • Great talent, but what's the point ... besides providing hours of amusement?

  • how pretty!

  • and grammy goes to..

    :D

  • what a singer...

  • really cool!

  • Oh!!!! Man you don't want one of this bird in your home, you will regret it, trust me, they won't shut up...:) at 4:00am....Ahhhhh!!!!!!

  • This bird is a nightmare, I'm sleeping 3:00 am and this fellow drives me nuts....lol.....started to hate them though they have the most beautiful song of any birds but they are loooouuuuuuuddddd.....:)

  • Thats great! I have two shorter videos of a Mockingbird in Arizona singing that i took, but not nearly as complete....quite amazing. I used to see them alot here, but these days, I rarely see one. I miss their singing.

  • does anyone know why their name's Mockingbird? and How could they have different voices? i mean, their voice is changed time after time, isn't it? does anyone can tell me how they could do it? thx lol

  • I think they listen out for the sounds they hear from other birds. They may not duplicate the sound exactly but they sing that way to fit into their environment.

  • wow i really love this bird, this bird is very nice singing .........i would like to have one for myself ...

  • ahh man i love these birds so much!!! even when theyre singing at 5 in the morning i love to hear them!

  • i really fucking hate this bird. this bird is not fun

  • So this is what I'm hearing at 4 in the morning.

These birds are beautiful. But they're fucking annoying when they sing -_-

  • well a mocking bird woke me up sounding like a crying baby xD

  • Lol. I wouldn't mind the ones out here if they had a little variation in their singing like this one kinda does. They just mock all the sparrows out here cuz there's nothing else. It's the same chirp over and over again all day non stop xD

  • You know what I'm saying about these birds, it's soo anoying and your just trying to catch some ZZZZ and there goes the mocking bird Ahhhhh!!!!!

  • Beautiful INDEED! Down south we know 'em as Cenzontles, bird of a thousand voices, there's a poem on the hundred peso bill by the Poet King Nezahualcoyotl that mentions the Cenzontle,...truly beautiful, thanx for sharin'! = )

  • It's 1:47 am and I am hearing a bird singing outside my house in the Bronx NY. I am trying to identify it and not sure if it's a mocking bird. Sounds like it.

  • 1:47am It's a mocking bird, damn you have them all the way up to NYC now....they originally from the Southwest.....Ohh!!! boy close your windows and look for earplugs....good luck

  • The car alarm of birds. Just as annoying at 3am.

  • Now I am listening this bird singing just out of my apartment's window. It had bothered me several nights. Almost every night the singing start from 12:00AM and ends around 3:00~4:00AM. It's very loud, especially at quiet night. The fun part is: it can mimic all kinds of sounds like chicken, cricket, frog. I heard someone say it can mimic car alarm, but so far I haven't had luck to hear that. :-) Maybe I need play a demo and let it learn.
