Oh wow, they are awesome, its almost been a year now since that happend, were getting back into storm season now. That lightning looked reall close, It came over when we were 4WDing with a bunch of people in the beeburrum forrestry, we didnt realize how bad it was till we got out onto the main road and it was black, wet and windy. Made for awesome fotos tho :)
my wife and I were returning from caloundra when it hit, we got off the bruce and went down steve erwin. Ended up in a hotel under cover car park. very lucky to get away unscathed
If you come to Katoomba it is typical winter it gets so cold that we freeze our butts off and sometimes it gets that cold that it snows and it is really pretty but in queensland it gets hot and sunny

Hi im going to australia in june and i know the winter there is when we get our summer, i was wondering is it still hot and sunny? or is it just typical winter? thanks
man be carefull from the thunder strikes stay at car dont stand and take pics once i was taking pics of the thunder and i didnt notice that the thunder hit the tree at front of me
that was fantastic. i live just off of clontarf beach so it was great to connect with ur pics. I was working at the airport during the storm so never got to see any of this.
