I have never understood why people love to hate Air Canada, there is a reason why this company is winning so many awards and including best flight attendants in North America. They are going through a huge culture change in where the costumer comes first.

In my opinion fly them and see the huge difference to every other north American company. Air Canada will only continue to grow and west jet and other airlines will not be able to come close.

Air Canada is more of a canadian iconic symbol more than anything. Id rather spend my hard earned money going back and forth across the country on westjet. I travel a lot back and forth from Alberta to Ontario 4 or 5 times a year (not including side trips to other destinations or surprise unplanned trips) from a few years ago I decided to go with westjet and haven't looked back. Their prices, services and canadian destination options greatly outweigh anything Air Canada can provide.

Air Canada, like ALL other airlines, has defaults. Personally, I find, between all the airlines I've taken in my life, one of the best one. We can assume that AC is not the best airline but we have to assume its not the worst. You can't say that AC has bad management team and untrained employees. This Canada airline offers great comfort and safety and if I had to be pilot for an airline, I'd choose Air Canada.

I had a really terrible experience with AC - so bad I cant even fit the story on here without 8 posts. Basically waited on the airplane for about 5 hours with only two bags of pretzels. lied to about why the delays occured(weather) yet I could see WJ planes comming and going from the A gates at YVR - infact I saw another AC 767 pull up next to us at B20 unload - reload up and leave within a span of 1.5 hours. Will not fly Air Canada again, there is only so much bad CS I can turn a blind eye to

Relatively speaking, Air Canada is a kick ass airline. I've flown on: Olympic, Alaskan, American Airlines, Air Canada, Mexicana, KLM. The worst among them are AMERICAN based airlines...too much competition = very old and tired aircraft and poor service. Air Canada is absolutely modern with the on-board entertainment systems...KLM is 1st class service & Olympic is not bad but definately better than any American based airline.

Less competition = safe & modern.

I went to grand cayman for a vacation and a hurricane was supposed to hit monday, our flight was sunday, so we called wondering if it was going to be moved forward. It was cancelled, and the girl said to us that they were planning on sending one MONDAY, when DURING the hurricane. We ended up spending 24 hours in an unairconditioned airport and payed to get a flight from miami, and then back to toronto.

I think snacks are a minor problem compared to getting STRANDED. agree?
