  • Nice

  • LOOK MA NO HANDS :)

Good to see everyones having fun, too many people are far to serious when sparring.

  • really great :)

  • Niceee

  • Fun, beautiful and deadly. Nuff said.

  • its just like capoeira

  • It looks pretty, but these guys can get caught with all that high-kicking. This is a controlled atmosphere, designed for sport, but if they tried that on the street, it is a fast ticket to getting knocked-out, or worse.

  • @Swagaization hahahaha.. actually high kick wors perfectly well, just not the fancy jumping twisting kicks.. a good fighter is ver fast and the impact wont allow a grab even if blocked

  • @Swagaization

I agree. Sometimes it does create some bad habits.

Getting kicked in the groin (wether deliberate or accidental) is on nobody's menu.

  • seems like he is doing the mawashi geris a bit wrong, like he is bending the knee down to reach higher

  • How many years would these guys have been training for and what belt are they? (Sorry, Karate noob here) XD

    Good video btw :)

  • no grappling....what to do if the other guy catches you leg...or if it gets caught accidentally.

Also, no front and side kicks....i.e. no linear kicks.....are they deliberately not dishing out linear kicks?

  • that was awesome, where are you guys training at???

  • WHOA!!! that was crazy! My favourite form of karate :D

  • Fuck, I wish I could train Kyokushin Karate and move like that.

  • @ElBluesummer why wish? find a kyokushin dojo somewhere close to where you live,

  • alot of these move would be impossible if you could jab the face

  • thierryhenryisdope

do u even know who that guy in white is?

    he teaches muaythai too ==

dont talk too much if u dont know shit man

u said they are weak, coz they are not even serious.

  • Who is the guy in white? He looks like Kohiryumaki from max...

Anyone know which organization this is from?

  • Great Sparring. What Dojo is this? Where in Tokyo are you located?

  • None of what I just wrote is shown in this video. If you're interested, just search it. There are many good videos showing great training and some of the amazing things a Kyokushin warrior can do.

  • Very weak defense a muay thai fighter can knock them out in a few minutes.

  • Many Kyokushin fighters have held world muay thai titles. The first non thai Lumpinee champ was from this style. Do some research before you talk ignorant shit.

  • @thierryhenryisdope and wehere do u know this from?

  • funny, I've seen weak muay thai fighters too.

Then again these guys weren't really fighting they were just practicing at the same time having fun, if they were serious then I bet your "Muay Thai" fighter would have had a challenge or maybe even win or lose that's cause it's not about the art its about the person, his discipline, and how he takes his art into play.

  • weak defense ?? he is a kyokushin champ Ayato Kitajima

  • Great trainning.

    This guys are great

    Osu

  • even after receiving those hits, they can still laugh and joking. is kyokushin really that strong?

  • Sure man, no doubts abou it. You see, it is just practice and the hits got common to your body

    =D

    ps> forgive my poor english

  • sparring is about putting technique to practice, Its not meant to hurt the other person

  • @emanresu81

The traditional Kyokushin training is SO HARD that makes you fearless of the pain and a complete atlethe.

The people that comments these videos always focuses in the fights, but there's much more behind... the spirit of Kyokushin is far beyond the kumite.

  • Those kicks are amazing...These guys are soo good! Maybe I should practise more! =D

  • hey guys..kyokushin karate or muay thai....which 1 is better?

  • Neither style is inherently better than the other, it depends entirely on 2 things: who your instructor is, and how hard you train.

  • im better

  • ok we meet up and spar..give me the place and time...

  • where do u live, i live in hooland, if want to come???

  • ok u gt msn...

  • yes

  • give me ur add..then from there we talk.......

  • sounds like the cosby show theme music

  • ok nice kicks, but the fists suck....

  • doamneee ce terminati

  • they kick so good that the pads go of! hahaa nice video!! This is how sparring has got to be! Fun and learning

  • The funny thing here is they are not kicking hard and yet people can notice the power when done properly. This is why I love Kyokushin. During sparring you don't get angry at eachother for good shots, just acknowledge and learn from it. I know some gyms where there is always a Vendetta type mentality.

  • What was that word on the end? Sounds to me like "KONEC" the Czech word for end :-D

  • nice vid fun and training ...and very nice control on the high kicks

    Osu!!!

  • Looks nothing like tkd, they are men fighting not women

  • 凄い~!勉強になります!押忍!!

  • The guy in white trunks is Kitajima San (ex-kyokushin rengokai), who is the guy in black trunks?

  • yo digging the video but i gotta ask if you don't mind where can i find that music playing in the background

  • m a kickboxer and i fink dat style of karate looks great

  • Well Kickboxing was originally created in Japan and it's a mixture of Muay Thai and Karate. Kyokushin Karate was also created by having Muay Thai incorporated in Karate so I think it's somewhat similar.

  • kickboxing was created in America by shotokan practitioners who wanted to do freestyle full contact and kyokushin was made by mas oyama who incorperated tae kyun one of the very first korea martial arts which is almost 100% kicking. in recent years kickboxing have incorporated muay thai rules but are very far from being anything like muay thai as the side kick is still the most used kick in kickboxing wear its rarely used in muay thai

  • The term "kickboxing" was created by the Japanese Boxing promoter named Osamu Noguchi and it's a mixture was of Muay Thai and Karate. If you knew the first ever world event of Muay Thai practitioner vs Karate practitioner or rather, representative, you would know and it started in the 1950s and there are footage and articles about it as well. Mas Oyama says he practiced Shotokan, Gojyu-ryu and various other Japanese martial arts but none of Korean martial arts from what I've heard and searched.

  • Ayato Kitajima in the white shorts. Kyokushin bad boy, puts heads to bed on a regular basis but a real gentleman on and off the mat.

    OSU
