I wonder if the silent parts are comments that are still classified? I wouldn't be surprised, as the high altitude tests had a significant role in studying EMP as a debilitating weapon. Apparently, you would only need a 10 kt high-EMP device set off at 50 km, to black out most of the north american continent.
what would have made these better if the filmers had put a regular video camera with like a lead door infront of the lense and a skilled cameraman controlling the exposure setting getting a shot right before detonation and resumed once the brightness of the fire ball was within range for the camera to capture. have the camera with the filter nearby and the itd be so big that if you sliced the films it could be made like it was captured from all one continuous roll from one camera.

@Pimpmastahanhduece they tried with a few others, castle bravo i think, not sure if dominic was first, but the lenses broke because of the heat.
