I know seeming like you don't give a crap might be your "thing" in your videos, but you just come off cocky. A million pre-teen subscribers doesn't make you famous Davey. Don't get ahead of yourself.
Well if you wanted to know if you won for the contest, you could have emailed or mail them yourself, it said it in the rules of the contest that you can get informed earlier. And posting up a video or informing everyone that david won in the first place when he was earlier informed would be unprofessional. So what david did was professional. And all of david's subscribers are not ALL preteen.
If I were David, I would have felt really bad about what you said. The decision is final...and I'm glad that David won. His cover was original, clean and cute...many of the covers were just imitations.

I too agree that this cover contest was rigged! I saw many talented people give it their best and they're not even in top 35. First off, Lifehouse said they'd be the ones to pick...now it's a voting system where people can clear their cache and re-vote. Maybe I misread the instructions but I thought this competition was solely about talent. I spent a couple hours in the studio recording my cover..luckily I didn't spend more time mixing it! Wasted time but I'm glad others feel the same way I do.

As fans, we want to believe the LH guys are men of integrity. Maybe they were pressured by their label to change the contest. Maybe the entries were not what they thought they would be - not many original/creative videos (like dijaguy), but mostly people just singing into a camera. I don't like how the contest ended up, but anyone who submitted a video should be proud they put themselves out there for family, friends and new fans to enjoy their music.

I totally agree! I 've been paying close attention to all of the votes. The other day i noticed HelenaMaria's votes jump by over 50 in less than 10mins. It's so obvious they are voting for themselves. HelenaMaria had 5% of the votes and now they have 14%? Mikexyi has been doing the same. People are voting for themselves!! How on earth is this fair??
I think this voting-thing should be reconsidered. Not because I have "0%" of the votes, but becasue I don't know how anyone can compete with the fake voting that's been going on (other than with more fake voting). The videos in the lead have more votes than the others in the running even have views. Does that sound like it can be right? The rest of us don't even have a chance. I'd at least like to be considered. The contest was great when it was actually about the covers.

Lifehouse is friends with two of the contestants in this contest(the twin girls) My friend and I saw them talking to them at one of their concerts in NJ. It just doesn't seem fair that they'd associate themselves with contestants while this contest is still going on.

I have to agree with jaredf99. It is rigged. There is no way the Helena Maria and the other group can get the most votes. Anyway, Lifehouse will lose our trust. Or whoever is managing their web site will be reported. This is not a game. It's not funny.
You say entering this contest was a mistake? That's very disrespectful to the musicians. Like I said, they spent their time making a cover for this. What a waste of time and energy.

I didn't say it was a mistake. Voting based on flawed voting code is a mistake. IF it wasn't a mistake (intentionally flawed), THEN my mistake was joining a flawed contest (yet, I'm sure this isn't the case).
Heheh, I kinda think what's disrespectfulis accusing a busy band of cruel intentions in spite of something as shallow as short skirts.

I agree that David Choi is very talented; and, although his "jazzy-blue" rendition of this song is impressive, all you musicians out there must surely realize that almost any musical score can be fairly easily altered to reflect that same style.

I totally agree! I 've been paying close attention to all of the votes. The other day i noticed HelenaMaria's votes jump by over 50 in less than 10mins. It's so obvious they are voting for themselves. HelenaMaria had 5% of the votes and now they have 14%? Mikexyi has been doing the same. People are voting for themselves!! How on earth is this fair??

5% is kinda a lot compared to some others but im pretty sure he would have a lot more than just 5% if he was cheating

I think this voting-thing should be reconsidered. Not because I have "0%" of the votes, but becasue I don't know how anyone can compete with the fake voting that's been going on (other than with more fake voting). The videos in the lead have more votes than the others in the running even have views. Does that sound like it can be right? The rest of us don't even have a chance. I'd at least like to be considered. The contest was great when it was actually about the covers.

yes, put your cursor over the orange bar/meter and it tells you how many votes each person has. You can revote if you delete your cookies.

okay, thanks. I dunno... I bet a smart poll code would track IP addresses. Maybe only one vote counts, per computer; with or without cookie tampering. I could be wrong. I hope I'm not, because then I'll loose cause I didn't cheat :) (opposed to loosing because I only have 40 fans, not hundreds or thousands)

Lifehouse is rigging the contest. joetimusmaximus had 4000 votes and then 1 minute later i noticed that they only had 3400. They subtracted their votes. WTF is up with that? And why are half the best covers not even in the top 35??

Lifehouse is friends with two of the contestants in this contest(the twin girls) My friend and I saw them talking to them at one of their concerts in NJ. It just doesn't seem fair that they'd associate themselves with contestants while this contest is still going on.

Well, they expect to be done with the judging process around Oct 22nd. After the winner is determined, he or she will be notified within 10 days or less. So I guess we just have to be patient.
