  • i do put a little love in my heart...;)

  • I heard this song the other day,it reminded me of what real music used to do for you. Can you here the message in the song ? Todays songs are not putting out that today.

  • God doesn't make woman like this anymore.

  • I adore this song. Great memories.....

  • I brought myself here! ;)

  • @23kessuki HeeHee!

  • love her voice.

  • I don't want to meet the 9 people who dislike this song.

Be a Who, sing your song, be with those you love, and stay away from the 9 Grinches that dislike this song.

    <3

  • @sacjii It's all gravy baby...... Enjoy the music ignore the rest.

  • Peace AND Love - very simple? So simple we haven't managed it up till now. Even less of a possibility considering the direction we are going. I had hoped that we would see it realized - my being a naive Vietnam teen generation!! Still a song that means something to me -and in which I believe

  • she looks good enogh to eat. she wrote a lot of songs with shoron sheely who is the former wife of eddie cochran

  • Love this. Amen

  • Beautiful song, shame the 60s revolution turned out to be meaningless. Still got war, hatred and now the muslim fanatics are on the scene... lovely..

  • remember this ....... a whole lifetime ago... still makes me happy

  • She is Stunning x

  • This song is on some advert or other for yoghurt... Brilliant song, the only good thing about the advert.

  • @ohmydinosare Benecol yoghurts.

  • This song brings back the memories of innocence, before the realities of death, destruction and mayhem of Vietnam became our wakeup call. Jackie DeShannon probably had no idea what was in store for the next 50 years.

  • This song makes me feel happy! :-)

  • Song of the day

  • Awwwwww I remember singing this song I pre k!!!! :3 I finally found it! :D

  • Awwwew

  • beautiful...

  • This song is timeless and Classic. We all need to Put a Little Love in Our Hearts and The World Will be a Better Place for you and me.

  • Nice Video Nice tuned up audio.

  • Catchy pop song, good looking woman and she brings it. What's not to like?

  • The time was viet nam I was 19 .The spring of 69 Iwas night guard duty. This song came on and missed Ca. And today I'm 63 still sounds great. Thank you Jackie!

  • As awesome a performance as she was beautiful, straight form the heart, and she wrote it, too, what excellence!

  • !4 yrs old I remember this was and is a great song BG

  • She was a talented songwriter too who wrote not only this song, but also "Bette Davis Eyes."

  • She's amazing. Thank God it's all archived and preserved.

  • This song was featured in the finale of the movie Scrooged, and ever since my family associates it with Christmas. A great holiday message song, even if not intended.

  • She's so pretty. We never got to see her back when this come out. Thanks for posting!

  • love uuuuuuuu.

  • It's not god. It's humans deciding to do things better to better the human species. Otherwise you'd have to be calling all the deaths from earthquakes and other natural disasters as gifts from god too.

  • What a gift from God!

  • Its easy to put a little love in your heart when you got a little doobie in your mouth!

  • At least this song can be liked without having to be a religious crazy fanatic. This world can be a better place with Atheism. Atheism = love!

  • Testify Jackie, TESTIFY !

  • @mrstevehartman No ahtheism = death

  • My favorite song

  • Still a great song today...love it !!!!!!

  • I agree with all the comments, except for a few, that probably like the slutty stuff! This is a great song, doesn't matter what anyone else thinks about it! You are out numbered!!!!!

  • Hey what a novel concept, a song with positive lyrics instead of smut , trash , drugs, rebellion, cop killing, ""itch slapping crap.

  • annie lennox covered this i remember right

  • THE KIDS DOWN ON WALL ST. CAN US THIS SONG ABOUT NOW "

  • It's too bad it isn't about the music anymore. GREAT SONG!!!

  • the business side of music is rotten. A gifted songwriter, Jackie only managed to have three top 40 hits. To me thats just not right.

  • show us your tits

  • @punkinthumper you have no couth, go troll elsewhere!

  • Old school music is better, nowadays. This song is precious.

All the songs today are just talking about how to make love. -.-

  • Beautiful.

  • I don't know why i like this song so much.

  • How did she keep her boobs from bouncing?? Not huge ones, but she is quite exposed.

OH, the song was nice, too.

  • God, bless the little children of this world, God bless the meek and the mild.

  • someone screw-up this video!

  • BABY YOU'RE A RICH MA- oh wait.

  • @TvojMati YES! i was just listening to Magical Mystery Tour and it made me think of this song and here i am. can't believe someone else thought the same thing.

  • One of the great songs of all time. Jackie DeShannon has a truly unique way of singing. Singing Style! Fascinating.

  • No,she is not a great artist....pathetic really. It is the message that is so great...In my life, there have been people who have crossed my path and their anger, and dire straits, have made me think, if only you could put a little love in your heart....

  • I fell in love with this song and Jackie, a shame I live on the other side of the world, thanks for this video, a truley great artist.

  • @Iporu .How true, maybe we need to be like little children again.

  • I thing Jackie is one of the most under rated songwriters ever... this is beautiful and as a radio DJ for over 40 years have I played this and more of her songs!!

  • Thanks...! One of my Favs...!

  • Times when i am pissed of with life , my son comes to my rescue and sings this song to me, thanks son.

  • "Jackie at her very best", great song, beautiful lady, sung with so much feeling!

  • go listen to jason mraz.....but songs other than im yours his lyrics and singing and meaning is indescribable......he is out of the class of most modern music

  • Give Jackie a short hairstyle like Pet Clarks and they would look like sisters. Jackie is so beautiful and I love that liittle cry in her voice. So very special.

  • zeusgirl see my channel,, my stuff is just real, honest, pure & spontaneous... jeniferdivine

(i live on a tropic island & just make music!!!)

  • i just wonder what is up with the 8 people who DISLIKE this song??? i don't think i would even want to know them...

  • @jeniferdivine Well said, friend!

  • There is ONE recording artist today who does appear to me to have just about this level of class, and that's Taylor Swift. Unfortunately, she gets drowned out all too much by the Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Pink and Rihanna stuff...

  • This was my favorite song in the Summer of 1969, and I was in love with a very pretty girl name Lisa!

  • Jackie was a true multi-talent, what with being a singer, songwriter and actress.

  • beautiful

  • They also wouldn't play a song with this sort of message. Fox News would get angrier than they already are.l

  • She was great. She was on channel 13 (PBS) a few months ago with John Sebastian. They are both still excellent.

  • I didnt realize that she wrote this song. Damn, she had alot of "copies", meaning that others' got credit for her work.

  • i love dis song

  • How does it feel to be one of the beautiful people...

  • She's good man.

  • Just gets better and better with age!

  • drugstore cowboy

  • Love this song,,,,truth, spread it!

  • Sure can use some about now... I can't believe I grew up into my 60's and found such a hate filled divided nation.

  • 7 people obey the devil

  • She was Jimmy Page's Girlfriend for a short while in the Mid Sixties

  • This was the very first record of any kind I ever bought (a 45, I still have it). I was 9 years old and loved this song so much. I remember playing it over and over (as I did with The Archies' "Sugar, Sugar to my parent's dismay!)

  • This isn't just a song. It's a hymn.

  • what a wonderful massage

  • Can you imagine if an Artist came along in the current Society and tried to market their song based on the strength of the Lyric's message and simple presentation of it ?

The record company would tell them, "Come back when you've got some slutty gymnastic dance moves with butts and cleavage sticking out, and then we'll talk"

    LOL!

This song is just PURE and TRUE and I LOVE IT !

Where is this kind of Love Energy to be found in Today's media ??!

Someone, Please bring it back !

  • @Zeuszgrl How about Regina Spektor. ?

  • @Yif I'm not familiar with her...I'll have to check her out :-)

  • @Zeuszgrl Agreed. These days, to succeed in the music business, you need to have (in no particular order):

no discernable talent; a cheeky grin (boys only); an ass (girls only). Genuine applicants need not apply.

  • @Zeuszgrl : I hope that doesn't mean in this current society the artist in my channel isn't lost then, who happens to be a Jackie fan too!

  • @Zeuszgrl

Agreed. Solution: make the media / music industry types (cultural standard destroyers) who promote, package and spew the crap disseminated today into fertilizer. Many in Hollywood and media won't let their kids 'consume' that crap but they have no problem making money appealing to the base nature of mankind to make a buck. "And the world will be a better place, and the world would be a better place, for you - and me, can't you see, can't you see..." ;-D

  • @majik2hanz people have been complaining about recording companies all the way back to elvis. he hated the crappie movie soundtrack songs he had to sing. what can you say...their capitolists. capitolists are not known for their community standards. a capitolist isn't immoral their ammoral. they just want to make money on whatever sells. if theirs moral issues involved thats for sociaty to settle..they dont care..except for the money. they'll record a murder as long as it sells.

  • @Zeuszgrl Yes we've lost something. Maybe we can get it back.

  • @Zeuszgrl- I LITERALLY ALMOST SPIT OUT MY BEVERAGE IN THE OFFICE WHEN I READ YOUR COMMENT! I am an aspiring musician and feel your pain to the "nth degree." I especially like this song @ the end of "Scrooged," starring Bill Murray. Awesome.

  • @Zeuszgrl Exactly you're so right > So sad !

  • I'm lucky to be related to her. She worked with Jimmy Page, I have yet to.... haha!

  • I would love to put a little love in her heart. One

    of my all time faves.

  • 7 people ain't got no love :-(

  • Why have I not heard of her or seen her on CNN or MTV OR VH1 or SOMETHING???? I Love HER and her MESSAGE!!!

  • @chadastanley Maybe because you're looking for love in all the wrong places - no hard feelings?

  • @flemingcourt I like that response, lol But I seem to never looked for it lol maybe thats why I never seen her =-)

  • Twas in a Michelob beer ad in the UK c 1996. Lovely song, some great covers out there but this is the best. :-)

  • Hello, All. It was uplifting, positive lyrics like these that allowed us to weather the discord and violence in the 60's. We could use more of this type today. PS - I saw Jackie DeShannon when she opened for Neil Diamond way back in the 70's. She sounds even better in person. Peace to ALL.

  • what a beautiful spirit she has

  • HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY, AND OF COURSE MY YANKEE DARLIN'!

  • MY MOMMA SAYS PUT A LITTLE LOVE IN YOUR HEART * WE LOVE YOU OBAMA!

  • sweet

time to transform it into reality, isn't it...?

  • I wish I were At the top next to the man and able to look out through every woman's eyes anywhere!..in any time environment...She's Way a Friend Lookin Like!

  • 7 dislikes?!!! are you serious? eradicate your self from my planet please!!!!

  • @scooter2ish Don't worry, Rush Limbaugh clicked it seven times. ;-)

  • H O T

  • Jackie DeShannon: A wonderful songwriter. A terrific singer. And drop-dead gorgeous.

Amen, my very thought, what a LADY!

  • all Jackie DeShannon fans don't worry I checked wikipedia online and she's alive and well

  • @excarman The person who said she died probably had her mixed up with Ellie Greenwich who looked a lot like Jackie.

  • Comment removed
