you are my inspiration i look up to you because your so willing to try something new me and my cousin have been watching your videos and i wanted to actually get into the jet program to experience something new and you helped me step out of my comfort zone hopefully i'll see some more videos and get even more inspired lotz of love ur #1 fan
Don't feel too bad. I got a speeding ticket last month and guess what? I got it on my birthday of all the things! I am writing a letter to the judge since this is my first ticket to see if they dismiss it. Good luck to you on yours!
Speeding tickets are no fun, though I've never gotten one (I have gotten a ticket for having my tags expired however)
Getting pulled over for anything simply isn't fun. And I think you've had a good ride being in Japan. I enjoyed watching your vids alot, and when you leave, I hope dear life doesn't end with Japan.
Hey Alafia! Been wathcing your videos for a long time. I hope your doing well. I know you have said you speak some japanese, but I was wondering can you carry a full conversation and unstand others? How did you learn it, just randomly picked it up from being in Japan or have you been sceretly studying?! Take care!
Aw, hun, well I'm sure your making a good decision. I just hope you keep on making vlogs whenyou go back home cause im very interested in your life and your values. But yeah becarful talking about your job on here lots of people have gotten fired for such a menial thing :p
bow your head down to the floor haha! i can picture that and im sorry to hear youre leaving i can see how it might be hard to connect to kids from so different a culture takes longer
Oh geez...it's a good thing I don't have to apologize to my job for tickets. I'd be apologizing everyday. haahahah. Not really, but that sounds embarrassing.
Hmm are you sure you should be talking about your job like this right now? I thought you said it is best to only talk about your job after it is done because you might get reprimanded otherwise.
Regardless, I hope things start to look up for you!
Hey the flow of energy always changes so don't worry it shall get better. I'm sorry the good, the bad, and the ugly is making you leave I like your story but hopefully when u leave I will be going to TUJ ( cross fingers) wish me luck .
So interesting to hear your reasons for leaving. My best friends mom did the same thing when her daughter and I graduated highschool. She said there was no one to make it worth staying.
Maybe you can return to Japan some other way one day and enjoy life in the city! :D
Alafia I totally understand what your saying. Don't leave Japan sweetie. Not just yet. I know what your going through even though I've never been to Japan I understand what it's like to feel like your life isn't moving at the pace we'd like it too move. I'm an actor and constantly have to deal with rejection and ignorance more at this point in my career and it always seems very gloomy at times. I think its just a funk your going through. Don't leave now. We enjoy your experiences immensely.
isn't 12,000 yen like 120 $ ??? wow that sucks , lol telling your job you got a ticket , haha Snitches , And Apologizing , wow i would quit . Probably jump out a window .
Wow, having to apologize for a speeding ticket. I guess it makes sense from a Japanese cultural standpoint (saving face), but seriously, it's a speeding ticket! It's not like you robbed a bank, murdered someone, or committed fraud.
Happy Thanksgiving to you to even if your havin a bad time in some aspects its always good to get that experience more then i have anyways lol and yea that sucks about the ticket :/
Uhgg.. I knwo the feeling. My stars have been out of line to.. I just feel liek I'm in a bad mood.. I feel tired and just drained for the past week or so.. :/
Sorry to hear about the speeding ticket, maybe those cops should come to Nisshin b/c we have constant speeders out here who are definitely going faster than you were going.
I can understand your reasons for leaving Japan early. You have so much to look forward to back home!
Sorry about your ticket. How high above the speed limit were you? Did you get the ticket after he heard you speak in Japanese?
It's a pity your school situation isn't so great that you want to stay longer. There have been days when I have nothing to do, and I feel so useless in the office. And I try to prep some lessons way ahead of time. Then I bug the teacher to prep my schedule for the month. But, so far I am too enamoured by Japan.
Hope everything is better now :[]

I don't think I ever got to "speed" in Shimane, everyone goes so slow on the one-lane roads. :)
But I did get pulled over once in my 4 years of driving in Japan for not wearing my seat belt. But that was just a "warning" ticket.

I had to pay 6man for mine... I went 32km over. Your lucky. Mine was a speeding camera. Gotta love Japan.

Speeding Ticket? Ouch!
I'll bet the Apprentice thought you were pretty. Especially since you surpised him with your "limited Japanese".
I can't say it will happen....but you might find a Good Japanese Man there.
Believe me, Japan is doing FAR better than America right now. If I were there, I would find a way to stay.
Sumo Wrestling I saw on TV during a brief stop in Japan at Kansai International Airport in 1996.
A Lovely Japanese Woman thought I was visiting Japan. Sigh. :-(
