HI Ty, Hi, can you tell me which one has more health benefits? Water fasting for 7 days in a row, or alternative fasting for a year? I am going to adopt alternative fasting as a lifestyle, and I am wondering if I should do a 7 water only fast.. Can you advice me? thank you
So do you do this every day, or do you only fast a few days a week? Also, what kind of foods do you eat? Do have the same diet as before or do you eat small portions of healthier foods etc...?
wait so, do i have to go a day without food? or 12 hours? can i still have a 5 day workout program? wont i lose alot of energy from this? what are the time intervals you do this? once or twice a week? somebody help me lol, hit up the inbox or whatever.
@11033066099 I don't know if you have your answers yet, but you might want to look at The Retired Dieters Blog. It will tell you everything you need to know about this type of fasting. You do it once or twice a week for 24 hours but you never go a day without eating. You can still workout, and actually on fast days you typically have more energy not less.
Great video! I totally get the concept. I actually did my first fast 2 days ago and lost 4lbs. I know that weight loss is water etc however that is a step in the right direction. I was not starving that 24hrs between after dinner on Monday night to before dinner on Tuesday night. I would recommend a few tips. 1) come to terms with the whole not eating till dinner the next day. Don't obsess over it. It is what it is - just do it! 2) drink lots of water. It keeps you full and cleanses your sys
So would you eat whatever you like or only paleo-like diet (meats and veggies) for your meals? You look great btw! And quite slim and definately cute ;-) I'm looking into doing intermittent fasting 24 h every day or every other. Is there a reason you only do it two days per week?
so you basically dont eat for 24 hours right? i use to be 212 and im down at 181 , its been almost 2 months, im trying to get down to 165, so im hoping this can help me out ;)
@blenderhead14 Yes, you must exercise and it's advised to do so on fasting days to maintain your muscle mass. Plus, in the fasting state your growth hormone levels elevate so why not put it to good use? :D Marching is a great workout ;) I'm a dedicated walker - at LEAST an hour EVERY night!
@theflygecko Also another thing, on non fasting days, is it okay to skip meals such as breakfast or lunch, if i really dont feel like I NEED the food? theoretically that would total more weight loss right?
@loloj7 Thanks for the question! Definitely dinner-to-dinner for me. Like many of us, I have an issue with late night snacking. If I start my fast after dinner, by 10:00 PM when I'm criminally "snacky" I've already invested 4 hours into my fast --- too much "skin in the game" to throw it away for a stinkin' cookie or handful of chips. It's a nice control mechanism that helps break this bad habit :) Skip the late night snack, hit the sack, and sleep your fasting hours away!
@loloj7 it depends on what works best for you :) For me, 6:00PM to 6:00PM works best because I can go to be nice and early and sleep a good chunk of the time away. The following day I walk to work to keep my mind off eating (a one hour journey), keep busy at work for eight hours, walk home, take a shower and BOOM! Time to eat! :D That's my regiment in a nut shell.
@canadianwoman1961 Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out :) It's incredible how easily this integrates into your weekly routine. Upon completing the past few fasts, I've completely forgotten that 24 hours have passed before I realize I can eat again :-P

@Thineeyebesingle Your thinking of fasting 24hours every day.......hmmm...good luck with that....I think that would be deathly rather than healthy!
