@aquacomputervideos Thanks for your quick reaction, I understood the difference between the components. But why is different material used for different components. Is there a reason why you shouldnt use thermal pads on the CPU and RAM and thermal grease on the voltage regulators?

Ich erinnere mich noch an meine GTX 8800 Wasserkühler von innovatek. Es war echt "süß" wie winzig und nackig die Karte nach der Installation ausgesehen hat.
Ich hatte den aquagrafx GTX570/580 auf meiner EVGA GTX 570 drauf, allerdings
wurde das PCB so stark verbogen dass ihn ohne Backplate nicht wieder draufmontieren möchte. Es gab sogar Ausfälle (schwarzes Bild), was ich ebenfalls mit dem Verbiegen des PCBs in Verbindung bringe, da mit Referenzkühler alles wieder normal funktioniert.
@TheMrProst Das ist sehr merkwürdig. Sicher, dass die Karte 100%ig dem Referenzlayout entsprach? In der Regel daran zu erkennen, dass ein Nvidia Schriftzug auf dem PCB aufgedruckt ist. Es gibt auch Karten, die sehen auf den ersten Blick identisch aus, sind es aber nicht da sie z. B. anders bestückt sind und somit Probleme machen. Diesen Grafikkühler haben wir mehr verkauft als jeden anderen zuvor und auch selber zig Karten problemlos damit bestückt. Mit verbogenem PCB bist du der Erste.

Meine 580er bekommen auch eure Blocks. Eine Backplate im gleichen Farbstil wie eben die GPU Blocks und der Kryos cuplex sind wäre einfach genial. Gleiches gilt für Chipset, muss da leider auch auf EKWB zurück greifen weils von euch nichts gibt - ich hoffe aber darauf für mein nächstes System - 100% Aquacomputer, aber bitte diesem sexy Farbstil treu bleiben ;D
I hope if the hd 6990 comes out you guys will have watter block for it. Once i get enough money i will buy one of yours. Just one question can you give us benchmarks on how good they are like temps water flow all that good stuff.
@copperkipper1 how do yo do it i just put a drop that way no bubles can get in and that way you get better transfer and second i would use diamond 7 cause it has no curing time not offending you just asking how you do it
@skimowhite586 Depending on the "gloopy" or thick the paste is a use an + or "pea" size drop in the middle as it spreads evenly and pushes all air bubbles out...If paste is applied how this guy did lots of air bubbles gets trapped.
@copperkipper1 i know right wheni installed by i7 920 i did that method but my cpu temp was 84 at 4ghz then i did the drop size and it wen dow to 74 wow then once the paste cured 77c damn full load ht on 4ghz 8 threads and 77c after 10min and went to 80 after 20 min amazing
@skimowhite586 I watercool and only run 3.8ghz i could hit it up to 4.2 but i feel there is no need...I game and 3.8 is really the max anyone would need..why are you at 4? :D Render much?
@copperkipper1 actually cpu ID sayes I am at 4ghz and cinebench sayes i am at 3.8ghz so i guess i am at 3.8 on i7 920 D0 but i do like the boost of overlclocking improves my games by about 15percent more fps and card over clock same so 30 percent more fps
why do you use thermalpads on some places, and on other places thermal grease? Whats the difference
