Actually, neither of them are better than each other. Both of them use their own techniques. It depends on what you're looking at, but you honestly can't just compare them straight up like that. Royster and Spears are both very talented drummers. Nobody here is really in a place to judge.

I get confused here...I have no idea what the fuss is about...and the Spears kid is good, but why is he so praised? This stuff he is doing is not complicated, technically extra ordinary, super unique or sophisticated...it's everywhere in abundance and over done? I hear this stuff all day long in Manhattan to the point where I wish anyone would stop! Jo Jo Meyers has great interview intentions, but he should stick to playing, that is his forte (no doubt).

I used ti feel the same way about Aaron. He's actually very very technically proficient, more so than most metal drummers, he just sticks too much to gospel and pop so it's hard to see it but you see it shine through once in a while, especially in the last little bit of the preview. He's got chops but he hardly uses them.
