This is what you call "pursuit of perfection".....they didn't just line up some drums for the video and then simply add the music later. They actually tried to make it real by measuring the distance and all the other suff.....

Lexus engineers = fully diagnosed OCDs. 

I kinda like the idea of an OCD making my next car.

This would have been much cooler if you did it without the robotics... just have the car run over modified pedals. Otherwise, imo you wasted a lot of time figuring out exactly how to make everything line up when you could have just drove the car past and had the robots hooked up to play at the right time.

Is it just me or they ACTUALLY "blur" out the "Harley Davidson" logo of the Drummr tech's T-shirt? Look at 2:01 to 2:08, its clear, then at 2:13 to 2:19 is NOT!

@jhftang You could barely see it from 2:01 to 2:08. It doesn't need to be blurred when it's not 100% visible. From 2:13 to 2:19 it's clearly 100% in the shot, therefore it has to be blurred. But also, from 2:01 to 2:08, he apparently has a Harley Davidson wrist band, and it is blurred. Why spend time to blur something that's not fully in the shot. Plus, I doubt they are sponsored by Harley, so they have to blur it out.

I think the "making of" is more impressive than the actual ad. The first time I saw the ad, I just thought it was dumb and completely unrelated to the product, I also thought it was done through CGI.

@mrjost55 Lexus usually does these stunt commercials for real without CGI. They over engineer their commercials just like they do their cars. Other examples would be the LFA commercial where the exhaust tune shatters the glass (they figured out the proper engine RPM to get the frequency that would break the glass) or the original LS400's champagne tower on the hood.
