  • What Model Rick is that and how musch did you pay for it?

  • Damn! this is hard on a full scale guitar

  • hey, great job dude! sounds realy tight.

  • the only thing that should really be added is chord names and fret numbering

  • Awesome. Thanks for posting. I've gotten a lot out of your videos. They've helped my playing. Thank you.

  • Is he even plugged in ??

  • @rockyjnr10 ofcourse , just because it sounds the same doesnt mean he's not plugged in, he just has the perfect setup.

  • @rockyjnr10 There's another video he posted of him playing the exact same song. But he edited it, recorded it again, put tabs in and uploaded it.

  • what are those funky f# minor chords?

  • I think you need a E6 in there rather than just going to an E.

  • awesome

  • Just plain AWESOME!!!!! :D great job bro, iv been trying to learn this song n now I can =D thnks again bro :)

  • please please please please re-upload the Her Majesty lesson, i really wanted to learn that one.

  • you are the fucking bad ass

  • Put the tab at the top not on the side I f possible

  • Why are you so good? I cannot distinguish the record to your playing! (THIS IS A COMPLIMENT)

  • Just fab, gear! Excellent demo.

  • Professional game! Pleasure to listen to! Happy day!

  • LOVE the format ! It must have been some work to get all that together. Thank you for revealing these tunes and fingerings. It still amazes me how perfectly you lay them out. You are very talented. Thanks for sharing.

  • Never sell or toss that Rick Okay?

  • @AcousticSerenade1201 Don't give him ideas

  • You got that right, MrLennnon. Anybody canplay lead. I can't believe SOkes hasn't been asked to join a tribute band yet..or maybe he has...this guy nails it.

  • @ROCKSTARCRANE You've got that right

  • thank god for that video! And mjsokes too! Best beatlessong and now i can play it like the beatles did :D

  • nice dude, i like your rickenbacker, by the way what year was made your guitar? (sorry my bad english)

  • those are some crazy chord shapes....what instrument did that guy learn on anyway?

  • Yes mjsokes Bring back all that u removed.

  • tabs really help !!!!man i owe u a lot...just one question mj may i ask you how much u got that rick for thanks!!!!

  • That f sharp you're playing at 0:52, shouldn't that be a minor?

  • Love the new format. You not only nailed the Chord Voicings, and Rhythm, but the Sound as well. Something I just can't get out of my 66 Fender Jazzmaster. Thanks so much, fantastic job, I always learn something from you!

  • It hurts to ask this question, but, given that Lennon no longer adds to the creative mix (and of course has not in the last 30 years and never will again) with McCartney, that Paul's solo works do not rise to the team's quality? OK, this is an easy question to answer, and it is not to say that Paul is not extremely talented. I think Lennon added a rough edge to McCartney's work in many of their hits; obviously not all of them. I still mourn the break-up and Lennon's death.

  • Bloody brilliant! great work mate

  • You, sir, are an icon of precision regarding Beatles guitar. To what do you attribute the prodigious nature of the success of the Lennon-McCartney song writing team and in particular, their ability to use chording to support the tune/lyrics, and, to produce a hit at will? Thank you.

  • @slidhome chemistry. john + paul = A+++

  • wait what happened to many of ur vids

  • Great! Thanjks!

  • REAL MEN PLAY RHYTHM GUITAR!!!

  • GOOD

  • Love it, glad to see a new post!

  • excellent!

  • Wonderful job as always. Just to be a wee bit anal, I noticed a few times the tab indicates open E chord but you play E as D chord 2 frets up ( which of course is also E). Which way do you think Our Master John played it?

  • @gtrdoc911 audio & tab = correct. video = old. mjsokes = lazy.

  • @ephemera2010 I was going to reprimand whoever wrote this reply for calling my man MJ lazy then I realized the man himself wrote it so I guess it's ok if you call yourself lazy:) That new tabbing software rocks.

  • also could you re upload the underrated ringo starr video

  • Its great you did this.. Its the first I have seen with the slick tab on the side... wherever did you find osoftware for that.... otherwise with this song... keeping the chords/tab in rhythm would have been tedious as hell..

I always liked the other vid where you play this, but I pretty much rolled my eyes thinking it would take me weeks with various tab around the net plus your video to get everything together. The obvious benefit is illustrating the chords/tab along with the rhythm. Thanks!

  • Thanks so much for posting again. The apprentices all appreciate you passing it on.. Rock.

  • Dear MJ,

  • i will second that best beatles player on you tube awesome

  • so is this the surprise you've been telling us about for months

  • hell yes this is awesome thnx MJ, your the best beatles player i've seen on youtube

  • FANTASTIC!!!

  • @the1songwriter correction: RICKTASTIC!!!!!!!

  • Tab's nice, but you should've added chords too

  • Excellent, MJ, excellent!

  • Awesome, thank you for the great job. Best tutorial on the web.

  • This is a really easy way of understanding what chords you're playing, Thanks!

  • YES!!! THANK GOD HE HAS A NEW VIDEO! :))

  • Wow, that was awesome! Thanks for the quick tutorial :)

  • that ricky is beaten to shit, still great

  • @jayloonar who cares bro? its a ricky, thats good enough.

  • @Fang1213 that shows he used it a lot, i mean it in a good way

  • @jayloonar In the business of Rock and Roll, a guitar is not "beaten to shit". It has lots of mileage. ;)

  • @Denthedragon i mean that in a good way, he used his guitar a lot, and yes i am under the belief of what you said :P

  • @jayloonar Its vintage =3

  • @Martin126X yes

  • @jayloonar No, they just sound like that. It's like a guitar with rubber-bands for strings.

  • @jec5476 Are you joking???!!!! Rickenbackers are some of THE best guitars out there!!!!!!

  • @MrLennon231 I didn't say there were bad! I think they sound great but they do sort of have that sound. I'm very happy with my Rics (325 and 360/12).

  • @jec5476 Not really to me....Well at least the vintage ones.

  • @MrLennon231

The 325 is shortscale, so the strings are not as taut. Hence the "Rubber band" sound.

  • @sohailio11 I knew they were, and still are 3/4 scales most of the time. hey if you want to see an awesome ric, look on my channel :D

  • Awesome

  • Having the fingerings appear in real time is awesome!

  • This is fantastic!

    I love your rickenbacker!

  • Cool! I did notice At 0:56 you show the same open E but are playing a A-shape barre (X7999X). and at 1:36 your chart is showing open E (022100) but you're playing a D-shape (XX5343). Not a huge deal, but you asked for proofing.

  • Real Men Play Rhythm Guitar!

  • I LOVE this format!

  • Awesome job! I've got all the chords memorized, and now I only need to work on the fast changes (that d-shaped e with the pinky there especially). Thanks for these, they are very helpful!
