u should not feed him waxworms , you need calcium in is vivarium ,you should never use sand as a substrate as it causes impact and if hes grazing in sand that aint good and i didnt see any thermometers because u need to get the right temp

Hey Dude, just a quick advice. I would highly recommend replacing your Gecko's tank with some sand that has whole nut stuff and some calcium sand. Because over time if the gecko keeps eating sand, his stomach will get clogged up which could lead to death for the lizard. I should know, this happend to me twice until I changed the sand to the whole nut sand where you can get from Hollybush. Another thing is to get your food etc from the holly bush as they give some really good offers, money worth

geckos can get fat if they only eat wax worms, try putting crickets inside of his tank so thats all he has to eat and if he doesn't eat them for a while and he still isnt eating them you should put wax worms in but nice gecko setup other wise.

Why would you buy a arboreal tank for a lizard that does not like to clime? It is a waste of tank space. You could but a few crested geckos in there, or a tokay gecko(I have 2 myself), shit, you can even put a green tree python in there but why a leo?

Nice set up and everything but you should get a feeding dish for the wax worms and then he can go get them when he wants they also wont get sandy. I reccomend getting a bigger tank for him hes really big. :)

dont feed him wax worms!

its a reallly bad diet. heres a tip:

feed your crickets wax worms and then feed him the crickets for about a week or so. after this his gradually take crickets/meal worms. hope i helped

okay first of all leopard geckos, in the wild dont live on sand. they live un rocky areas. sand is bad!!!! i cant stress this enough. paper towles are better. and that whole grazing thing you were talking about, thats a great way for margo to get impacted by the sand by ingesting it. over all besides the sand the tank setup is pretty good. also you need  calcium dish and instead of locousts feed mealworms. they are healthier for margo. trust me i have a leopard gecko i know what im talking about

The only reason your leopard gecko will only eat the fucking worms is because he somehow got addicted to them by feeding him those worms to much. You should really ask a vet how to help Margo get off those worms. Though he may like them they are going make him fat. That's what I would do.

@diggner They may not live on tiles or paper towels in the wild but they don't live on sand either. They live in the desert but that doesn't mean its sandy, just means its dry. They live on more of a tightly packed clay that is very dry, not loose substrate like sand. All that said though, some Leopard Geckos live their whole life on sand without any problems, but why take the risk?

wow dude, yu should NOT have a leopard gecko. the sand can impact him, so use tile, paper towl or the repti carpet. yu should have a calcium dish, and a food dish as well as that water dish, moist hide, and make sure that the food bowl is high enough or has one of those lids yu can put on but still leaves a big hole in the middle for the leo to eat. then they can't get out and eat at yur leo and yur background. pce.

ur gettin a lot of things wrong. please put ur gecko on paper towel or slate tile because sand can kill ur gecko and he can get impacted. in the wild they actually live in rocky area not sandy areas so use tile insted of sand. and dont just feed wax worms there only a treat there full of fat so try feeding him small locust. ask me questions on anything else ur unsure of.
