because he was hitting his wife which inferiated him so he came over and threatened me and tried to come in the house while it was just me and my 11 month old God daughter so I called again anyway and eversince he and his wife haven't made a peep which is nice, but I guess having a bunch of police cars and police littering your front yard would be enough to scare someone seeing as they are in trouble with the law anyway. I have a story of a psycho neighbor. There's this guy by the name of Tyrone that lives acrossed the street from my best friend and one night when I was getting ready to leave for work, my best friend came in after a walk and told me to call the police because apparently the guy's wife decided to put a burning piece of cloth in his gas tank so needless to say we called and the fire inspectors and police came, the wife got arrested for having a warrent and about a few weeks later I called again

From where I stand you are as much a victim of your circumstances as she is. Given your behavior and point of view, you are only slightly less mentally ill than she is.

Hate crime? Oh please! I didn't throw anything at her. I would throw the stink bombs in the alley in an attempt to get her to shut her window so that I could get a break from the non-stop yelling. I work with people that have mental health issues, but I am not her social worker. The issue is that our mental health system sucks and is doing a disservice for her. The result is that she disrupts the lives of everyone around her. She needs to be in a more supportive environment.

The section 8 program is administered by HUD. It is a housing agency, not a mental health agency. Your concern for your neighbor's welfare is your conscience at work. You could find help for her if you feel she needs it.

It's called lack of sleep from being kept up all night by psychotic rants about the rats speaking to her and her having screaming matches with imaginary people. "Surrealist performance art"? You can call it that if you would like, but I would prefer that she did it at your house and not mine.
