@fortunecookie135 Late 70s - Early 80s is where it was at. Richard Hell & the Voidoids, Stiff Little Fingers, Agent Orange, Dead Kennedys, and The Damned, just to list off a few.

Punk wasn't bad in the 90s, but by the early 2000s a lot of them were breaking up or going on hiatus, it was a short and limited scene. The bands never really got to experiment or make a strong subculture, they just recorded a few albums and skaters loved 'em.

To be honest, i'm kind of dissapointed in punk these days. Hardcore Punk dosen't really exist anymore, (Well except The Casualties,) and Punk has forgotten the one motive that even started Punk in the first place: Anarchy. That's why my friends and I are starting a punk band. And I want other people to do the same. Start a Hardcore Punk band, and bring back the glory days of Punk. (late 70's, 80's 90's, you know.) Let's remind people about anarchy and start rioting. Who knows, we might succeed!
