This is why you should get a Mac people. Sure it's more expensive, but you'll NEVER get a virus and NEVER have to pay for repair costs. Had both my Macs for 2 years now, and have had no issues. Had a Dell back in 03, and had an issue THE VERY FIRST DAY I USED IT.
@JasonMovieGuy There are mac viruses, they do crash and the parts are more expensive when you have to order them if you need to replace anything. Your story is completely subjective and I can counter it. I've owned two macs, had problems with both. I have a toshiba laptop and have owned it for 4 years with no problem. Would I say that macs are crap and pc rules? No. All computers have problems no matter what.
i watched a customer named Christine Ruggles in Dallas Texas with her husband and her husband flipped when they asked for their location details. I've never seen so closed minded, paranoid couples, claiming they sell their info. The clerk was nice enough to explain it was for their records incase they loose their reciept. it is their job to ask. if he doesn't care, he wouldn't have asked. it is people like you that don't care about anything and those are the people i cannot stand.
Man, yay microcenter, but it's kind of a shame having to pay a bunch for a diagnostic when anyone with a moderate tech level and access to google can at least diagnose as well as the geek squad guys.
Saying the hard drive was bad is just ridiculous, the only explanation for that is they were flat out lying, broke it themselves, or didn't even bother to check their guess.

ow sorry it was the techs we hired to represent us we trained them to work on the machines that you bring in ha anyway micro center is the best been in there 2 days ago they are fully stocked with all the parts you need technicians are very knowledgeable in all the parts micro rules
i have always trusted micro center. I've been to geek squad and it is true, they will try to charge you for things you do not need. I never tried to get anything fixed at circuit city so i cant speak on that. The geek squad that is by me is in a best buy and they don't pay their employees for the actual time they work. They try to short change them. The good thing about it is im soon to be a certified computer tech so i can fixed problems like this myself and save some money, thats always good.
