Liked the vid. Im a metalhead, but i listen to some rap. Only underground rap tho. I hate mainstream anything. thankyou for pointing out that both genres have somthing to offer. I think the biggest problem is that there is so much shitty metal and so much shitty rap out there that, unless you really get into either genre, they are extremely hard to appreciate. It takes work to find good metal and good rap, work that most people shy away from and focus on dissing the opposing genre instead.

New metal is a type of metal that has a combination of rap and rock... Um.. whatelse? Basic Heavy Metal such as Disturbed has no screaming just regular hardcore lyrics. Liked the vid. Im a metalhead, but i listen to some rap. Only underground rap tho. I hate mainstream anything. Lil wayne, soulja boy, etc... they just pump out album after album full of garbage music and thoughtless lyrics just to make a dollar. I think that metal takes more talent, playing guitars, blast beats and all that. But i will disagree greatly that rap is talentless. If you listen to Tech N9ne anyone can see that rapping that fast is not simple.

thankyou for pointing out that both genres have somthing to offer. I think the biggest problem is that there is so much shitty metal and so much shitty rap out there that, unless you really get into either genre, they are extremely hard to appreciate. It takes work to find good metal and good rap, work that most people shy away from and focus on dissing the opposing genre instead.

Metal is not all about screaming hun. The metal that includes screaming is called "screamo" . But there is over a million different types of metal, filled with loads of creativity. New metal is a type of metal that has a combination of rap and rock... Um.. whatelse? Basic Heavy Metal such as Disturbed has no screaming just regular hardcore lyrics. You should really give metal a chance. You probablly have'nt even heard 5 good metal genres yet.

Well, I can assume they like the typical mainstream rap, such as Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, really anything popular these days. They don't know real hiphop/rap like Eminem, Mos Def, Common, Biggie, etc. If this is true, try doing some research and start telling them that you are entitled to your own opinion, and that they should listen to good music first before fuckin with yours.
