You show scenes depicting a VIOLENT GANG RAPE and then imply that the exact same thing is happening to 33% of ALL women when in fact only 14.8% of US women are victims of COMPLETED RAPE and most of these are not violent rape but simply date rape.
ALSO, these sources are as much as 13 YEARS OLD! (1998-2003) nowadays when everyone is on camera and everyone has a cell phone rape is much less likely.

It doesnt matter how do you dress, if ur drunk or drug addicted, if u are naked, if you are the poorest person in the world, that doenst give the rights for anyone do that. god. i saw this filme when i was 14, im 23, and it still makes me angry just thinking that this really happened and no one did anything to save that girl. no one. Exactly. That is why it was such a fantastic movie, Jodie pushed all the boundaries to make your very point; no matter what a woman (or man) looks like or acts like, acts of violence are entirely animalistic, and inexcusable. She is a brilliant actress and this is a masterpiece.

I remember this film being so controversial when it was first released. That was seriously one #(*$ of a graphic rape scene that Jodie Foster portrayed as a rape victim. That just never left my mind even today. SHOCKING.

This scene is so hard to watch but it opens your eyes to what really goes on that people dont know about, we forget that rape not only harms phisicaly but mentaly and emotionaly aswell, this film may have brought rape into the lime light so it could be eventually stopped.
