I really enjoy your projects and have a of respect for the finesse you have on a lathe. It looks to me like several of your skew cuts on this sewing kit you're not really rubbing the bevel at all. Is that so?
Thank you! I believe that it is the camera angle that makes it appear that the cuts are made without the bevel rubbing. Many of the planing type cuts are made very close to the heel of the skew and the bevel is rubbing at that point, but since the diameter of the workpiece is fairly small the part of the bevel you can see is not rubbing.
