History proves that before Islam came into existence… The Sabeans in Arabia worshiped the MOON GOD. .Who married the sun goddess, who gave birth to three goddesses. They were called Al-lat, Al-uzza and Manat. They later became idols… And were worshipped throughout that part of the world as the “Daughters of Allah,”
Its funny, if only Muslims were to see the whole, "two sides of the same coin" thing regarding this, they could have a singular god with two aspects, Allah and Allat, and finally begin respecting the women who give us all existence through birth. Good Vid, nice to see someone honouring one of the old gals...
@crystalstormz No I would rather insist that this is in fact a representation of Inanna/Isis/Athena... who invented polytheism as per Hislops Goddess theory.
Yes Al-Lat does PREdate Allah and there is more than enough sources to back it up. They even have remnants of Matriarchal culture in Arabia to this day! The Great Mother will NO be denied. These male deities are NEW and most of them did not even exist. HAIL TO THE QUEEN OF THE UNIVERSE!
The root of it is in Ra and Rait of Ancient Kemet who were known as Ra Ur(The Great) and Rait Urt(The Great) or in other words Ur Ra (rolling r's)/ Ul lah/ Allah & Urt Rait/ Ul Lat/ Allat. Neither Rait nor Ra is primary over the other. It's all about balance and they're acknowledged according to the particular need at the time and their particular function.
I like to keep it at home though cuz the more I get out into dem other places, the more confused and confounded things become.
thank you for viewing with an open mind and for your respectful comment.
do you have the references for the information you give family? the information i have found doesn't align with this. ur ra, from my understanding, was a high priestess, not a male attribute of allah.
An Egyptian hieroglyphic dictionary By Sir Ernest Alfred Wallis Budge
ur-Ra : the title of the priestess of the busiris nome
The author has all the information there 4 free & all the references. Ur is a title from Kemet meaning "The Great" & it was applied to many different Neteru. "Ur" which is sometimes written as "Wer" made its way into Ugaritic/ Canaanite culture as EL with the variations of Eloh/ Elah/ Allah & so on. The same thing goes for the feminine form of Urt becoming Elat/ Allat. We always had both. Maat/ Maa & Kait/ Ka & Atum/ Atumet & Amen/ Amenet kwk.
thank you for introducing me to odwirafo. i used to frequent the destee message board back in the day (good memories) - i think i may have read some of this brothers jewels.
i read "Origins of the fictional characters of the bible, quran and talmud", the section of his work from which your quote comes from. the brother doesn't have any references noted for these particular conclusions. i do see walter williams book referenced, but it is pertaining to prophet muhammad alone

Its not so much that the Goddess Preceded the God but rather they co-existed and people just refuse to acknowledge her.
