  • Will this (and the Sense UI 2.x) ever be released on the original Desire?

  • @AnarchyEngineer AFAIK, HTC has promised Gingerbread for the original Desire with the Sense 2.1 UI with all these features! Cheers! :)

  • @RobinRichardRajan I knew about the Gingerbread update, but I thought they said "older devices will get bits and pieces of Sense v3.0" As the hardware can't take it (utter crap- as the Devs over at XDA ported it, in working order, to a Desire HD)

  • @AnarchyEngineer Anyway the stuff like Location, HTCSense.com integration are all available in Sense v2.1 itself. So we don't need the Sense v3.0 to use locations!

  • now i realise that HTC is the best in future !!

it will be my next !!!!

  • Too bad, that the location NEVER fits if i try it. But i blame it on that Android location API.

  • why doesn't Israel show's up in your locations? i bought this device and i don't see anything in Israel

  • @vakninli htc uses tomtom maps in their location app.

tomtom doesn't make maps for israel

  • @Frankfurtxxl is that mean that i won't have any maps on my htc in israel?

  • @vakninli only the google maps for now.

but go ahead and check on htc.com if you can download the maps for israel

  • Am right i right to suppose that you need internet to use this feature? [Locations]

Or does one have the possibility to precache those informations? Because, if you are in a foreign country, checking out a town, internet's gonna cost a lot of money...

  • @wirpo032 you need to download the maps before you travel
